I am afraid that I do not seem to recall your house's name. Of Menzoberranzan, was it? Or perhaps Ched Nasad, before the Time of Troubles? Ust Natha?

"Menzoberranzan it is and a small house with little to its credit save a pure line, until the past few years .I brought much in the name of riches to my family and then rocked the city with a series of "scandals" which where part of the reason my mother chose to do me in"

Oh. I haven't been there for a while. Not since I and my friends left Breagan D'aerth. When Jarlaxle left the psionicist Kimmuriel Obladra in charge of the band there was no one honorable left. Although some would argue that Jarlaxle was not very honorable. ;) He did have a great sense of humor though. :D

Honor is always questionable in the Underdark. My family kept poison testers available for even the smallest dinner parties." She chuckles...

As did mine! :D But i'm sure that our two table-mates have no idea what we are talking about. Well, maybe the outsider does.

" What, might I ask , is your lineage? Although it scarcely matters, my own has disowned me, but mild curiousity for you do not appear to much older than me. We may have even played together as children, for the older boys were always my favored playmates, much to my mothers dismay."

I am, or was, Alkemar Kenafin, Elderboy of House Kenafin, Eleventh House of Menzoberranzan, at least it was the eleventh house, last I heard. I and my brother, Xandar Kenafin, left our house, and later Breagan D'aerth, together.

Ah...I have heard of you, and think I may have known of you and your brother , but that was a while ago, I was still in school, and if it is any conscilation (ooc..cant spell for crap today) my scandals far rocked the scandal of you and your brother leaving.

OOC: Woah! Slow down guys or you'll scorch your fingers on the keys!

IC: The halfling looks at the drow with rapt admiration for their stories, totally engrossed. It is obvious that he shares the common halfling trait of story loving, even if he is slow to tell any stories himself. :D

OOC MKII: Little dig at myself there, GCSEs are a real pain!
Titles:

Master of the Lady's Dances
Recoverer of the Tome of Moonlight
Scribe of the Dark Maiden's Temple

High Priest of the Church of Rooky :D

I'll wager neither of our leavings rocked Menzoberranzan as much as Drizzt Do'Urden's did. The only house ever to be defeated while in the throes of Zin'carla. And all because Matron Malice sacrificed Zaknafien in Drizzt's stead. Haha! What ironies Lady Lolth brings us. (in more somber tones) That's why I worship her no more.

Well sir halfling, if you like tales.. I can tell another. Perhaps you would like to hear of my scandals, which gave my mother a few more grey hairs, or would have , if her hair was not already as white as snow.

Haha! Since I left our homeland before your "scandals" occured I would be most interested in hearing them. Especially if they caused havoc among the spider-kissers!

Well this is a tale that is both amusing and very sad. When I was in my 70s and still in school, I met a man. A bard.. Far older than me , but very handsome. He was a little tall for a drow and had these long fingers..hmmmmm...ughhumm...going off topic..sorry..Well suffice to say at first he would have nothing to do with a girl so young, but a vast amount of alcohol served the trick and I had myself a fine new lover. Things seemed to go well at first, we kept matters quite under wraps of course and I grew to care for him deeply , and I believe he cared for me. But things were not as they seemed. He went away frequently and would return much later and kept many things from me that I found disconcerting. My mother however had found out about him andhad him followed and that was when she found out who he truly was. He was not a drow at all, but a moon elf! A spy for the elven queen , he was cleverly disguised by a spell and was getting as much information about us as he could. My mother planned to have him captured and flayed alive. I could not bare to have this happen , so I attempted to assist him in his escape. We were caught and my mothers troops were all around us. So I stabbed him in the heart with my blade and encircled him in ice so my mother could not defile his body. That was the last of the great bard, Dalen Willowsong, and the last of any lover I shall ever take.
