[t:2f53jl7j]We already have a tavern of tales, but I thought we could do a slightly different version of it.
[t:2f53jl7j]This forum will take place in God's Home, a temporary resting point for heros and heroines before they move on to whatever God or Goddess they worship.
[t:2f53jl7j]I thought this might be fun for people to come in and tell stories of characters they have had that died, how they died, what they were doing , etc.
[t:2f53jl7j]If everyone hates it, or thinks we don't need another forum for story telling just let me know.

Very cool Rooky.. as youhave probably sumised of me I like to go beyond the normal races . Here are a few rules for the house so to speak..
As I have said this is a place to go in and tell the tale of how you died..When your ready to leave state the name of your chosen god or goddess, and an avator of said deity comes to get you. if your character doesnt have a chosen god your kinda stuck here until you chose one.
Race , alignment and level matter little here.Be whatever you want.
Fighting is allowed, if all parties are in agree to it, only one warning..You are already dead. The fun thing about hero's rest is that you can hack the crap out of other people and no one can die. Go ahead, hack off your own arm and use it to beat somebody in the head, you can always pop it back on again when your done.Mr. Orc will tell you about this as well.
I haven't done many fighting forums, so if we do want to fight I may want to move this somewhere else.
Any recommendations , tips or critisisms welcome and encouraged. As long as you dont get on my case for my spelling in this post. I am extremely hung over and I think I am doing very well for myself considering.

Ok for Mayffyn.. we can go two routes here..you can simply dissapear from the forum or i can take you on..Unfortunatley for your character there is nothing in the books that states that Kelemvor only judges non humans. It also states that the truly wicked do have cause to fear him.It also states that lolth only allows herself to be directly contacted when it pleases her to do so.Otherwise she sends the yochlols. So just let me know where you want to go from here. if you like the idea of your poor drow having to face Kelemvor with or even without her goddess's aid then let me know.
and rooky...since you have left the tavern do you want to do something out of the tavern ?
i can make subthreads for both of you if you wish..

ah ok found what i was looking for..it is believed by lolths people..although considering lolth is not known for her honesty this is subject to interpretation that at death her favored followers become yochlols in the pits and unfavored get kelemors judgement..so if she likes maffyn she will speak for her and take her to the demon web pits and if she doesnt then maffyn is screwed...neither actually sound like great options to me..lol..
She got killed by a freggin' rat, I don't think she's gonna' get the hero's honorable place right next to lolths over smooched ass.[/quote:1e5566he]
All of Lolth's followers fail at some point and die. It's how you die and what you've done in your life of service that is what counts with the Gods. If they didn't't take any of the ones who failed(dying counts as failure) then their realms would be empty.
Besides, kissing Lolth's ass is a pleasure.
It's such a pretty backside.
I've never thought that human gods had any authority over the nonhuman ones after death. If Kelvamor does have control over every living being after death, then he is under ALL of the Gods eyes, good and evil. I've taken the view that he only gets human and anyone following a human god. He'd have no juristiction over any other race's followers.
If he had to judge the evil dead, then he'd have all of them, because, remember, Bane, Cyric, Shar, Bershaba and the other evil gods do take their dead. Kelvemor is just a objective god that only gets them if they have no god. He cannot take the followers of other gods.
Remember, the Elves and dwarves were there long before humans ever showed up and began the long climb to civilization. No civilized humans, no human gods.

Keep in mind I have only got the faiths and pantheons book to go off of, it says little about it....but I am of the mindset that everyone runs their campaigns and characters differently..which is why everything i run is in the free form forum..because i prefer everyone to do things the way they are comfortable..
I'm not sure what to do with Mayffyn. She wants to be with Lolth, but being in Warrior's Rest has bothered her. Sort of a crisis of faith.[/quote:ucjpgetk]
I have stayed out of the RP. I have a hard enough trouble keeping characters alive to generate a dead one *wink*
As to a crises of faith we do not have to follow rules, that would indicate the soul becomes faithless. There again the rules do not have a waiting area in the first place. Your character is at a waystation and as such clearly has an option of choosing another path. She can stay there until forced to move to a deity, she can spek with followers of other deities she meets to perhaps choose another deity. Your character clearly will know of other deities already that she might seek aceptance fro.
As far as play goes your charater and all the others there have not decided to move on yet to there final reward.
