"I wasn't worried nearly about myself as I was about you and the others," he said. "But you don't need to worry about me...the Lady won't let me die until after I do whatever it is I need to do. That doesn't mean I'm going to be ridiculously reckless, of course, but I have faith she'll protect me if I truly need it."
He tapped his new armor and weapon.
"Case in point," he added with a grin.
When she began tugging him he looked a bit startled. Wouldn't it be a bit rude to walk out of the festivities?
Unless the festivities were going to be moved to the baths, but somehow he couldn't see that happening.

The solar looked to Zarae as the drowess stood before her; "you're already 'useful' Zarae Zyne; you're just not aware of it. As to your bow, would you prefer something like. . .this?"
With the question floating around in the drowesses head, Sanisa drew out her composite longbow +2, and extended it to Zarae.

Veraka, even as he twirled around with Neriah in his arms, noticed Adian coming out to join them on the floor; though, the young paladin's face had acquired the same hue that Veraka had noticed while he was outside with Neriah.
Looking at Adian, the aasimar smile and asked "So, my young paladin; [b:2rn2p8ia]now[/b:2rn2p8ia] do you understand my meaning of what I said earlier?" As Veraka asked this, a sly twinkle could be seen in his silver eyes.

Cinders mood changed as she floated across the dance floor with Adain " I am not sure why this man makes me uncomfortable I suppose if we can take down a hord of demons and i am sure Zazzt is keeping a close watch on the man he could most likely take care of him on his own if there is a problem. " she reasted her head on his sholder and enjoyed the ride.

Zazzt opened his eyes. Seeing that almost everyone went inside, he uncurled his legs, and walked briskly inside his home. He closed the door, and the temperature inside started warming up very quickly. He smiled when he saw Adain and Veraka dancing with two rather fetching ladies, and he decided he should reduce the number of sleeping rooms, as a gift, of sorts, to the people he had abandoned so suddenly. He saw Eliath sitting by himself by the door, and walked over to the lone assassin, "Do you not wish to join the festivities?"
A fight need not end with the death of participant. A fight also ends when the desire to do violence is gone.

Eliath smiled, "These people do not trust me at all. Simply because I had a contract on the paladin fool's wife." He waved a hand at Veraka dancing with Neriah, "I am only here until we pass a sufficiently large village where I can settle down, and continue surviving in the way that I have since I was younger than any of these 'righteous' people."
Death is an inevitable process of this world. The lords and heroes of this realm kill just as much as I. I simply profit from death, and so they call me evil.

Cinder heard the man " rightous did you hear that Adain " Cinders temper flared. She allmost broke away from Adain to tell him just what she thought, but Adain gripped her arm in disapoval. " we kill to protect and perserve what is good in the world as deemed by our gods from thows who would un do what good the lord Corellon has created for our well being. " she hissed under her breath. " Neriah could have been killed " there was so much more she could say but rather choose let it go at Adains calm gaze that spoke, and enjoy the company of there good friends before they would have to face danger once more. She smiled and nodded as he lifted her off the floor by the waist and landed her in a spin, she begain to laugh again and for getting the words that had set her off.

Sanisa overheard Eliath chatting with Zazzt, and shook her head, knowing exactly what the assassin felt, but also thinking that he was very narrow-minded and ignorant he was.
[i:3vg69u5e]Young indeed as he lacks the experience and wisdom to compare himself to our righteous group. Obviously, his lack of experience shows; Trust is something that's earned, not given, much like respect.[/i:3vg69u5e] she thought to herself, seeing Aurora pad up to her, next to Zarae and Lyon.
The great winter wolf looked at Sanisa; [i:3vg69u5e]You speak wisdom, Sanisa; though, I do see the assassin's point. If it was just a job, why be as distrusting to him as you are?[/i:3vg69u5e]
[i:3vg69u5e]Because Aurora, my son is still mortal and as such, he still possesses the same emotions that our young assassin does; that being said, it is natural that he would be distrusting of Eliath as he is. You should know Aurora, my son was raised among the barbarian tribes to the Uthgardt. So to him, such acts of hidden killing are viewed as cowardly and dishonorable, versus Eliath, who views his way of life as survival of the fittest. It's two opposing perspectives personified and in direct conflict with each other. On one hand, Eliath's lack of experience shows because he fails to recognize who my son is and why he is angry with him, where as my son is simply outright stubborn and refuses to see Eliath's way of living as how he sees it: a way to survive and live,[/i:3vg69u5e] Sanisa replied to the wolf in a private telepathic link.
Aurora gave the solar a dumbfounded look, at which Sanisa merely laughed.
"I think my son could use some company that he actually likes." With that, the solar wove her hands through a series of maneuvers that opened up a portal of some kind. A thick cloud of opaque smoke poured forth from the portal. What stood there after the smokescreen cleared would have everyone thrown for a loop.

Drakin was traveling back to the city of Luskan as he spied a group of kobolds. Drawing out his wickedly curved shotel, he decided a little practice was in order. He crouched low in the tall grass. The sentry never even saw him as the curved blade found its throat.
Drakin guided the body to the ground. He moved through the sentries eliminating them one-by-one. He was through more than half of them before the kobolds realized there was an intruder was in camp and sounded the alarm.
[i:3pi82h0v]Time for some fun.[/i:3pi82h0v] thought Drakin as he pulled out a few poisoned throwing knives. Moving to the trees he threw one, the kobold only heard a slight whistle before catching the blade in its chest. The rest charged the place Drakin already left.
As he moved through the trees though he had the bad luck of stumbling upon a kobold that was more than likely trying to stay out of the fight. It squeaked out an alarm as Drakin's ivory blade sank into its skull. As he finished the kill, a white light blinded him.
[i:3pi82h0v]Blasted kobold wizard,[/i:3pi82h0v] he though. He tried to dive out of the way, sure that another attack was incoming, but found he couldn't move. He then felt the sensation of falling and as the light cleared found that he was in the middle of a grand hall, full of festivities, and an celestial.
Then he spoted his brother and Grisnaw, "How in the Nine Hells did I get here?"

Drakashin saw Sanisa cast a spell and his brother appeared. He just responded to his question, "I was wondering when you would be arriving."

Zarae just chuckled to that as she shrugged. when presented with the fine weapon, she was a bit speachless. but she manage the words, "thank...you."
it still was odd to be given a gift and not be expected to do something. unless there was a catch. that inborn drow pessimism and pragmatism was there.
she examined the weapon. the mix of hickory and maple gave it a reddish tint with a swirly look. the sight window was of mithril and adamantine and carved with a vine design. the grip had hard black leather. the string had a magical aura and residue. the drowess' sensitive fingers ran along it, feeling the strength in it.

[i:1qyidw66]Deep and swirling strands of shadow, surround an approaching form, woven and manipulated by a will behind it both strong in the Shadow Arts, and yet far from malevolent. It passes through the encampment, with nary a sound, slips among natural shadows as if a part of them, and sheds its veil of seemingly substantial darkness, upon pressing into the doorway. The back of the figure, only displaying someone apparently humanoid, with flowing white main of hair, down to mid-back, and long side-burn hair, braided and brought together in back. Clothes, black and crimson-trimmed leather armor, and a piwafwi, pushed open on his back, hint at a Drow, and for their quality, one of some importance.
Within the conjured festival hall, the purple-eyed 'Drow' caught the end of words passing between assassin and Cinder, and the scene put a grin on his face, remembering a younger paladin so scared of a task put to him, that he thought Adian would lose control of his bladder in that brief encounter. Surely, none would recognize this new guest, not readily anyway, but he would not let it stay that way, approaching Adian from behind, and commenting softly,[/i:1qyidw66] "Good to see you more sure of yourself, little warmling. When first we met, I thought you might faint."
[i:1qyidw66]Now, though the body of this Drow, is a polymorphed form, the clothes, armor, etc. should one be so perceptive of such, are in fact, some very well-woven illusions.
To the Solar though? The shock might truly run deeper, than if Adian manages to pick out the clues in the greeting, to remember who else had spoken of him as 'little' in such a familiar way, before; to see the Drow guise, painted over a Shadow Dragon, their kind more native to the Plane of Shadow, and Baator. It bears no evil, despite the easily-made stereotyping, but should one look that deeply, there is a soul as good as ever there could be in a dragon.[/i:1qyidw66]

Adian stopped and stared at the newest visitor.
[i:3vygzegs]For an uninhabited region of snow, we get a lot of visitors...dark elves in particular. How is that happening?[/i:3vygzegs]
Adian's eyes narrowed as the stranger hinted at knowing him. When had he met this man? He was certain he had never laid eyes on him before.
[i:3vygzegs]Wait...warmling? Thought he might faint?[/i:3vygzegs]
"Agmasek?" he said incredulously, his eyes going wide.
