"I'm always ready." she held on to Zek as they head off down the trail back to the main road. Veraka and Aurora following.

it didnt take long to get to the road and again headed northwest. the land was hilly around them and more people were about. Inrii pulled her piwafwi cowl low and whispered the words to a spell to disguise herself.

still bout 10-15 miles in the distance the River Tesh and the other side the walled town situated near a steep waterfall of the same name. The site was once used as a storage site for dwarven metals mined from the Desertsmouth Mountains to the east. In modern days, it still exists as a frontier town under the authority of Randal Morn, Lord of Daggerdale.

as they walked the horse periodically snagged pieces of tall grass. there was a a few walking down, but so distracted they passed by oblivious to everything.

they neared the bridge over the river. they passed Dagger Falls, a large waterfall just south of town. It has a sheer drop that cannot be navigated by boats

the town wasnt pretty, but to the inhabitants the stone walls of were a haven in a troubled land. The walled town was just northwest of Dagger Ford, where the Tethyamar Trail crosses the River Tesh beneath the falls.
Daggerfalls, frontier town, was a place where everyone wears weapons and occasionally has cause to draw them in the public good (as well as in the pursuit of private quarrels).
The stone construction and steep slate roofs of the town’s buildings allow them to survive heavy winter snows.
Constable's Tower, an imposing tower stands at the highest point in town within the walls at on the north side. A persistent magical effect makes the tower unlivable; blasts of elemental energy occur randomly and the resulting damage is subsequently repaired by another reoccurring magical effect.
on the east side of the town, the local temple to Lathander.
Fulgath's Caravan Supplies, offering most basic provisions and anything useful to a traveling merchant.
the main part of the town, Market Square, located her is Teshford Arms, an inn with high prices and mediocre services run by the matron Olavia, and The Red Rock, a tavern run by a retired minstrel named Kessla.
Unknow to many, the location of the Rogue's guild. the place to find Alya.

Watching as the city was presented before them as they moved on he drummed his fingers on the reigns silently." Reminds me of a port city I visited years ago just by it's looks.. run down always trouble.. many a night you wake up to slit the throat of someone who decided to invade your quarters to knife you and take your gold." He commented casually" Food and drink was good.. made a bit of money when there.. especially from the locals.. everyone had something that needed to be done.. then again theft was a promising career. Especially the richer cities.." a brief pause" We're going to have some fun."

Inrii checked her disguise, of course the only skin showing was her fingers and if you could see in the hood, her face.
"human cities are just so...i dont know."
She looked into the water as they walked over the bridge. it was more murky than the one near Minauthkeep.
"well, drow dont help each other out for free, so we'll have something to do. at least Alya aint hard to spot, even if the guild is."
she whispers back to Zek, "one way or another..."

at the gate, the two guards watched the unusual group coming twords them. they perked up, 'travelers' and 'gold' was on their mind.

Chuckling slightly" Keep your blade sharp" he whispered. Watching the guards he shook his head." It would figure.. watch the guards carefully." He nodded to her and whispered back." One can only hope at times right?"

Veraka was silent for the most part, until hearing Inrii's comment about human cities.
"Boring, disgruntled, rubbish, smell like crap, the list goes on," he said, finishing her sentence.
To her second comment, he replied, "in that, you are right; drow, in general, abide by the saying, 'If you're good at something, never do it for free'."((can anyone guess where that came from?))
"Don't look now, but we've got a welcoming party; and ironically, they seemed pleased to see us," he said to the both of them; then in low whisper, "no doubt due in part to both of your disguises."

they came to the gate, the guards intent on watching them. one guard, a rather filthy human, was leering at the cloaked female. Inrii's hand, started to go thru the motions of a spell, to throw a fireball at the male.

Looking back at her and how her hand was moving he looked to the guard and spoke flatly" Is it really such a good idea as to stare at someone with such an expression? At times like this he wished he had something like a wrist crossbow. He just watched silently his hand near one of the blades of his a throwing dagger that he already knew where he was aiming if he had to throw it.

(( I can see the beginnings of a joke forming...)

he looked at the cloaked male and the large warrior, then backed up. secretly he gave an obscure gesture to the group.
the other guard looked at them. "business in Daggerfalls?"

Nodding" We do have business here. I personally am looking to have a look through the markets for wares and supplies. My companions here I am sure have business here as well, aside from what I have mentioned."

"I retract my earlier statement," Veraka chuckled as he saw Inrii about to cook the guard's ass; "You won't do something for free, unless it involves the pain of another."
Veraka then proceeded to give the two guards an imposing look, Aurora issuing a low growl that backed up his look.
"My business here is same as his," Veraka pointed to Zek.
