Veraka finished bandaging Aurora up, her white fur coated red from her own blood. Getting up, he walked over to the fire, grabbed a decent long branch, lit and proceeded over to the two remaining draeglolth corpses.
He lit one up, and then dragged the other to flaming pile and dumped it on it. "Serves you right, you filthy bastards," he mumbled to himself as he made his way back to the camp.

As he came into the lighted area around the campfire, his armor lit up with reflection, revealing parts that had been painted with a deep red hue all over it. Aurora lifted her head, [i:1sba59eq]you know, you actually look more intimidating with those huge splotches of blood all over your armor; it matches up.[/i:1sba59eq]
Veraka merely laughed; "I'll think I'll keep on for now then."

"yeah, Uncle Jezz makes such an impression on the local villages. but maybe I can get these clothes washed," indicating her own.
Zarstra helped with the burning then went back to her spot and rested.

Inrii resheathed her sword and rifled thru her pack for the soap.

Nodding" Sounds like it.. then again since when do drow NOT make an impression?" He chuckled some as he sat down and rumaged through his bags and pulled out a couple things, which included a comb pick and other items he used for grooming. Moving to the water he sat down and watched his reflection in the water as he set about the arduous task of grooming himself. Somethings he did at times, a reminiscent habit from when he was in the spider city. Old habits die hard, as do the Drow.

she chuckled. how true it was. even those dancing ladies make such impressions.
"veraka, you better take your chance to rest while you can. this may be the best place we can find later on. I'm taking 3rd shift."
according to her memorized map of the Vale, they would be heading into the desert after crossing the mountians.
Inrii noticed Zek also head to the water as she found her soap and headed over there.
She found a spot and slipped her clothes off to be washed. she tried to stand among shadows so as to keep the wound hidden, but it was hard to while she scrubbed her clothes.
"need soap?" she asked Zek as he cleaned up.

Looking to her he nodded some" Yeah, I was going to wash up, in the morning, but now I probably should lest I smell of the blood of our kin for hours on end." He picked out a snag from his hair with the pick and shook his head" What I get for going days without brushing.. " Taking a breath." I swear there's times when I need to take a break. I've gone all over actually trying to see if I can pinpoint where my family went off too. I've been planning on checking the area again near Glimmerwood and any paths that lead to the underdark and the spider city. Finish off any loose ends, find the truth to as what happened to my House."

Veraka decided that Inrii's suggestion was probably correct; He finished putting his gear back and with that, laid his head on Aurora, making sure not to land on any of her recent wounds.

"Zek, wake me for my shift," he said as he relaxed his head.
Keeping his shield over his chest, he held Thunderstrike under it, ready to lash out, just in case anymore unwanted guests came along. Within two minutes, he was sound asleep.

"dont worry, the cookies are safe with me," she called but veraka was already asleep.
Inrii picked up another knot in his hair, "yeah tell me about it," she joked, as her own hair was a mess. She normally took good care of her hair; one of the few girly traits she had. when finished, she sat down on the shore, her clothes laying out on the grass to dry.
She wasnt sure what to say as she listened, "what outcome are you really hoping for? what if you do find them?"
she wondered if he would return to them or what. of course she also was searching for anwsers about her own family so she could understand.

Chuckling some he nodded to her" thanks.. I'll straighten this mess out and rebraid and knot it properly." Looking to her he spoke" My mother never told me what house she split off from. I do know that our house climbed the ranks quickly, thanks to my gather and servants and slaves that we had. By trade, my mother was a Wizard, while she performed magic she danced. In this she used seduction to kill rivals of her old house. My mother at the urging of her mother worked to become a Priestess, which she did very well and became a powerful one. Her and my father met, and founded a new House. Which was hard but they did too well, the old house died and the Rilynath house thrived. Lineer'ae was already well known for being a beautiful drow and her skills in dance, magic and being a loyal follower to the spider queen, helped.. not to mention she was ruthless knowing that to survive she had to kill competition. That is where my father came in, he was a dreadfully skilled assassin. Let's just say we made allies and enemies quickly but our position was secure and growing. Eventually my elder sister was born, she followed in the suit of my mother. And became a Priestess as well, a good thing for the house. A year or so later I and my sister were born. I was raised to be a rogue, at first.. thievery, arson, forging.. rarely but it was just to train me and prepare to becoming an assassin. Which I learned very well. My sister however became a Warlock primarily, with that she gained respect however I never once saw her deal with demons. Yet her spells were potent. An odd combination."

Resuming with his hair he spoke" When I left, it was a few years before the city was in chaos. I heard whispers that my family survived and made it to the surface. If that is the case, they would be not far from Icewind Dale at the time. The problem is I was barely past a hundred then. And I'm much older now, and still I hear the whispers, Now I truly wonder what became of them. Did my sisters become followers of the goddess of vengeance... or did they escape seeing that they were betrayed and went to join Eilistraee. If it is the later, then why should I not wish to see my family? And if they still live, by some grace of the divine it would be good to see. But there still remains the one question.. If there is dragon blood in our veins which at times I swear there is. What kind, how far back and how many times have they mixed blood." As he spoke is idly braided and put the intricate knots in his hair after straightening the hair out." Don't worry, I'll stick with you guys for a long while still. Besides, if we meet a Dragon.. you're going to need me. to either talk it down.. or make us filthy rich." he chuckled to that.

listening to his story while attempting to get her own long hair untangled, she understood a bit more.
"dragon blood, part dragons, not too uncommen. a few of the elders were desendents of shadow dragons. rumors are one fathered a child back in the fort. but that was all I could get. how does one tell if such blood runs thru them? and such mixes often do allow a bit of immortality in the sense that they never grow old." she always hoped she had been the child of rumor, but her sister assured her she wasnt. Unknown to her, she was such. the blood of the shadow dragon feuling her powers and spells.
she smiled to his willing to stay with the group. "Veraka might need ya," deflecting it, a protection she had developed. deep down she was glad for it, tho she didnt understand why.

Aurora perked her ears up at the mention of dragon blood flowing in both Zek's and Inrii's blood.
She opened up her thoughts to Zarstra; [i:2omkcs7m]did I just hear those two correctly?[/i:2omkcs7m]

He nodded to her and chuckled" Old age is not all it's cracked up to be really. I really wonder if that is how the old hag in the city lived as long as she has." He had hunches if that is why his aging had slowed down so much or rather it even stopped. Then again it could explain why he had such an affinity to things and that mage was willing to help him so much. Chuckling" Well shiny things are good, who knows maybe get yourself a nice new blade and hide armor. I've often been tempted to wear Noble Drow clothing.. but I learned that the surface folk.. don't like that much. Unless you're in the company of other Drow and some elves.. not many.

Zarstra had sorta been listening. [i:1hepm04m]oooh wolf speaks to me too! so many people understand me! um, maybe. but she's not said anything about it. I think she's looking for anwsers. is he snoring?[/i:1hepm04m] she asked of veraka.
"they dont look so much to clothes as to skin. it a 'drow die' and thats about it. I dont think i ever wore armor. spidersilk clothes work well enough for me. tho if i had maybe Vorndrin wouldnt had..." she paused, "nothing, anyway..."
she checked her clothes then jumped in the warm water with her soap ans washed herself.
when she was finished, she got dressed, shivering hard and back over by the fire on her bedroll.

True, I generally look for more exotic materials the only thing I can say about the underdark is that some things there were really beautiful." Shrugging he'd get dressed as well and put some more wood on the fire." I'd say drake hide would be good for you. It's light and easy to move in. If anything I might invest in getting some Drow garb if I should be in a formal occasion.. That and if I resume using magic.." he looked at his feline whom sat there next to him for a moment before jumping into his lap. Looking at her he spoke." What is that look for." She just stared at him as if to say ' Took you long enough to open up.'
