Upon seeing Ariali go through the movements for her, Veraka moved over to Taberina, picked her up, and slung her over his shoulder; "at least you show some malice towards your enemy," she said, venom in her voice.

He looked to her, a half-smirk forming on his face. "You want malice, I'll give you to him," he pointed to Drakin. A look of disgust crossed her dark fair features, "I retract my statement; you're at least [b:2blz37d8]tolerable[/b:2blz37d8] compared to him."
Veraka noticed a small, but very real smile forming on his assassin friends lips.

When Ariali formed the portal, Veraka made sure that all of the wounded fighters made it through, then followed himself, carrying the priestess through and making double sure that she was not going to be getting out of his grasp.

((I'm going to have them teleport near that ancient elven fortress on the outskirts of the High Forest))

As Veraka came through, he instantly recognized a very old, but standing structure to the his left flank.
"Heh, hey crazy, remember this place," Veraka said to the assassin, pointing to the ancient fortress.

"Yes, I remember this place," said Drakin flinching at the memory, "Don't remind me, I still get sore from thinking about it. . ."

Drakin looked around at the trees where he and Veraka once had to fought each other, Drakin to kill a high ranking elf officer and Veraka being hired to protect that same one. Though in the end they had to combine forces, to the annoyance of both, when a force of knolls attacked the fort. This was not the first time that either of them had suffered a headache from the other.

Drakin pulled himself out of his contemplation as both Ariali and the rest of the refugees came out of the gate.

Ariali gave them a confused look. She didnt focus on them long, something stole her attention.
They were at an ancient temple, one that looked familiar to her. It captivated her interest. She carefully walked twords the fort, as her mind drifted back.
'memories,' she whispered.

After putting his prisoner down, Veraka looked over to see Ariali staring at the immense fortress where he and Drakin had had a very close encounter with death, at nearly each others blades, ironically.
"Hey," he commented to the Lythari, "you captivated by this place?"

As she was watching, Ariali's hearing picked up a faint rustle of leaves. most would have thought a small rodent expect for her superior smell caught wiff of a light perfume-soap scent as the wind changed directions.
She turned to look at the others, bringing her finger to her mouth to indicate a need for silence.

((this should this be after the vale adventure then Veraka would already know Inrii after they parted ways. they wont remember what happened at the pool itself...just what they wanted and some of the journey.))

Inrii had been bored on patrol. after her last adventure, she wasnt content with the usual business she was sent on. Inrii had only been back a short while. tho she couldnt remember much after reaching the area. 'the stupid magic of the pool.' she mumbled, despite having had many of her questions answered by it.
She had been sent out twords the end, sense news of an attack on the farm outside of the forest had traveled to them. She had reached the end of the forest and no sight of invaders. Climbing a tree and cloaked in invisibility, she had been sitting in her perch a while when a 'door' open and out came several people...

((Works for me and it's official, We're in Cormanthor, for the record))
Veraka saw Ariali's reaction, and immediately went into a defensive stance, ready for whatever might happen next.

Taberina saw the wild elf's reaction and was curious as to what might be out in the wilds; she thought to herself at the moment, [i:1g3vsf5e]might not be a bad time to make some ruckus, however, if whatever opponent is out there is superior to my captor, I'm out of luck.[/i:1g3vsf5e]
She decided to remain silent for the time being.

Inrii watched as numerous fighters, many injured came thru, then a half drow and a familiar face dragging a female drow, a Lolthite based on her dress. then another elf came thru and the 'door' closed.
Inrii then noticed the elf checking the ruins and pause. She had been quiet, only a slight shuffle as she maneuvered herself so as to levitate down. the elf was unsual, even for an elf. her hair a burgundy, tho her exotic tanned look pinned her as a wild elf.
--
Ariali sensed the being. it wasnt evil, tho it was truly good either. She walked over to a hidden spot and changed forms, and begin sniffing out whoever.
--
Inrii happen to reach a spot where she saw such a transformation. had she paid better attention in class, she would have recognized Ariali as Lythari. Inrii walked into the open with the group, still invisible. She walked near the lolthite and whispered a taunt in drow only she could hear, "spider-kisser at the mercy of surfacers and now a heretic..."
She then walked twords her old travel companion.
--
Ariali smelled her near, a low growl emanating from her.
--
with her cowl low over her head and piwafwi wrapped around her, Inrii dismissed her invisibility as she heard the now wolf elf growl.
her dress was unmistakable, in jet black from head to toe and a familiar lizard on her shoulder.
"vendui old friend she whispered, throwing her voice behind Veraka for old time sake.

Upon hearing a very angry drow priestess start launching all the curses that encompassed her vocabulary, Veraka spun around to see Taberina thrashing about, as if the very air itself was teasing her.

Then, he heard an all-to-familiar emanate from behind him, he immediately rolled his eyes.
"Of all of the people, elves, dwarves, genasi, and all the rest of the races in all Faerun, I just happen to chance upon a certain pyro-obsessed drow sorceress and her explosion-loving lizard; this day just keeps getting better and better," he said, the sarcasm unmistakable in his voice.

"Inrii, you of all folks of the land, both high and low, should know that the same trick never works on me twice, well except once, and that's with him" he finished, giving a Drakin a good point with the thumb.

Taberina was confused at the conglomeration of people before her; now her former prey, now captor two 'friends' if he considered them as much. She couldn't help, but wander how he come to know them, especially that damn, [b:13oc95dj]arrogant[/b:13oc95dj] assassin.
"A heretic indeed," she muttered to herself.

Drakin watched the effect the new Drow was having on the priestess. Then he watched Veraka turn to her and heave a sigh that told Drakin much about his relationship with this Drow. Seemed he was almost as thrilled of having her here as Veraka was when he first saw Drakin.

[i:2x3zcpcb]This is gonna get interesting,[/i:2x3zcpcb] thought Drakin, stunned that the Drow was so easily dismissing the wolf Ariali, that seemed as if she was ready to spring.

Ariali realized Veraka knew the drowess, and senceing she wasnt evil, she quieted. But she didnt take her eyes off her yet either.
-----------
"I reckon I missed you too," she chuckled, "Tho I am curious what brings you thru Cormanthor again, and this time with a spider-kisser. Is she from the nearby Underdark city?"
Inrii turned to see the wolf visibly calm tho still alert and ready. "You may as well come and join in. You havent tore me apart from some reason already." her hands went out of the covering of her piwafwi as she pulled the cowl off to reveal her bluish silver knee length hair.
She looked around, "where's the oversized ball of white fur?" she joked.
---------
Ariali stayed in her wolf form, but walked out into the clearing and sat on her haunches, staring with her peircing gold eyes. There was something about this drowess.

The aasimar couldn't help but smile at the pyromaniac sorceress.
"What am I doing here in Cormanthor again, now that's a tale worth a good drink and nice tavern, but since we're prob a good distance away from anything of the sort, so I'll give you the nutshell version of it."
"Basically me, the white ball of fur, tall, dark, and lethal," he pointed over to Drakin, "and the Lythari are trying to find someone who's well versed in the understanding of dreams. As to how we came across the Lolthite, well let's just say that we ambushed their ambush," Veraka said with a very cocky looking grin.

"Only because of that blasted hell-spawned half-blood," Taberina cursed out.

"What can I say, it pays to not be on the business end of an assassin's blades," the storm warrior put in wittingly; turning back to face Inrii, "As for where a certain oversized ball of white fur, she's with the bulk of the folk that we evacuated from a small village a good ways back in the forest."

((interacting among myself is hard...))

Ariali now had two people she had to keep an eye on, tho the warrior knew them both.
'Strange company you keep,' she thought.
She would wait a bit, to rest and allow the 'friends' to catch up.
-------
"Lythari? I shoulda guessed, surface cousin," she said, turning to direct it to Ariali. "Tho there is little but legends of yall left."
turning back to Veraka, "dreams? for those who dream, I guess that would require some powerful cleric, of a non-elven nature."
Studying Drakin, his demenor and mannor (possible dress) pinned him as some assassin or hired mercenary . She didnt recognize him from her house, tho half breeds were common and not widely known. "I dont supose your from here. your dress is unusal and I dont recognize your face."
After introductions, Inrii tauntingly walked tword the priestess, trying to see if she recognized her. House Jaelre had warred off and on with a Loltite group who dwelt twords the surface of the tunnels leading to an underdark city (cant remember the name and since my computer with such info is out of use for the moment, cant look it up.)
------
Ariali puffed(?) at the comment of 'cousin'. She didnt disown all drow; she honored and followed the Dark Maiden as part of the Seldarine after all. But this female wasnt of Eilistraee, tho she could sense something beneath the proud exterior the drowess portrayed.
-------
"So I'm bored. what's the plan?" Inrii asked.

"The plan; I don't know if we really had one, aside from getting those folks back with their families," Veraka admitted, nodding in the direction of the injured village fighters.

"After that, who knows; besides, I didn't think you'd be interested in accompanying us anyways."

All of sudden, a grin formed on his face; "hey Drakin, remember how you told me in one of our battles that you were looking for your opposite, seeing as you probable scared half of em off. Well, allow me to introduce you to Inrii, a crazy pyro-friend of mine from a time ago," he said, sarcasm apparent, to Drakin

Drakin blinked a couple of times in surprise to Veraka's comment, then said, "Well, who doesn't like crazy, why do you think I come with you? Sane people are dull and boring. And besides, who doesn't like fire?" Drakin continued with a smile, "Besides, am I be sane after how many times I fought you, fatty?"

to Drakin, "Inriiaynrae Jaelre, but as he said, Inrii. this here is Zarstra." indicating her familiar. if the half drow had been from the area he would quickly recognize the house name.
"as I recall yall joined up with me and the old monk who kept vanishing on us and then was joined by the ranger. I dont suppose you've run across them? after we reached the Vale it seams to have wiped all memory of the place and put us on back home as if it was all a dream. as for me joining you, i have nothing to do. and the patrol can stuff it. Uncle Jezz is too busy with Mistledale anyway."
-----
Ariali snorted at the mention of the house. she knew of it, tho very little apart that it was a vhaeraunite house.
-----
"i hope we can work something out with your friends. it seams the lythari doesnt like me so much." turning to Ariali, "can I have a name or do i just call your darthirii?"
------
Ariali decided more would be done if she transformed back. "you may call me Ariali, ilythiiri," she whispered in drow, "and I will be watching you also."
