Veraka put a hand over his head as he realized the mistake of the situation.
"Forgive him, Ariali. My assassin friend here isn't as versed in the differences of lycanthropes and lythari as some are."

"Ah my apologies," Drakin said with a bow, "This is my first time meeting a Lythari. I am Drakin, a servant of the Host of the Arcane in Luskan."

Drakin turned to Veraka, "Looks like you and your new friend have a gift for drawing trouble. Vampires and Drow all in one night! And I doubt, even with the trouble your friend gave them, that they are done with this small village."

Veraka regarded Drakin for a split second, a look of anger coming over his visage.
"I do not believe Ariali had a hand in attracting the vamps and lycanthropes; as for the drow, I've the slightest clue as to why their here. What I do know is that you're right, we've got to get these people outta here now."

Turning to Ariali, Veraka spoke, "I'm assuming that you're ready to use that fancy portal spell of yours; because if those drow send their fiends on in, that village isn't going to last more than a minute in combat, and I'm optimistic when I make that prediction."

At the drow camp, the drow priestess Taberina looked around at her camp, fuming at the fact that they'd been ambushed by a good-aligned winter wolf and an enemy capable of moon-type spells.
"Matron Rauva will not be pleased if we return empty-handed, especially considering the resources that the house has spent to make this raid possible," she whispered to herself, knowing what consequences would await her should they fail to even bring the village down in ruins.
When she saw a male next to her start going into convulsions after eating some rations, she immediately stopped from what she was doing.
[i:o2fob4ty]They poisoned the food supplies; clever move,[/i:o2fob4ty] Taberina thought to herself as she began to issue orders to some of the other priestesses, telling them to start casting spells to detect which batches food have spiked with the unknown substance.

Ariali nodded and bounded for the village ahead of the 2 males. she reached a secluded spot and transformed quickly. when the others reached the village, Ariali, as a wild elf, walked out to meet them. ((do you drakin want a physical description?))
"when i open it you must get them thru quickly and before I enter."
She wasnt sure if now was the time to mention she had been 'experimenting' and still trying to perfect this portal travel. It had occasionally opened to a random spot before. the normal spell would usually move someone about a mile, but she had gotten it to take her to other worlds.
"it usually only takes people about a mile away, but I might can get it to go farther away. if not, I may can cast it a couple times, give everyone a head start. just give me about 10 minutes."

Ariali walked to the edge of the forest, away from the crowds and began to dance/pray to the Seldarine, Eilistraee, and Selune.

Drakin watched admiringly as Ariali went back into a secluded corpse of tree. When she was gone Drakin came back to himself and turned to Veraka, "I see that you've started traveling in better company than we normally do."

"Are you sure that [b:1q5qbidi]all[/b:1q5qbidi] of the company that we traveled with was that bad?" Veraka smirked at the his own question.

"Besides, most of them ended up trying to kill one of us most of the time," he remarked as he started back to the village, intent on making sure everyone got out of there in one piece.

When Ariali had finished, she headed back to the clinic. She felt invigerated from it. and with the settling darkness, this was her time.
She entered as people were gathering belongings and preparing. over to the side, the two stood chatting. She didnt see Zazzt right away, but he was likly around ((i'm hoping he's able to rejoin soon if he plans to continue in the story)).
She stayed at the door, allowing them to finish up what they needed.

Veraka finished talking with Drakin and proceeded over to the head-cleric.
"Is everyone in here almost ready to be evacuated? The sooner everyone is ready to evac, the better."

"We're getting everyone ready to move, it's the more seriously injured that require attention and will take more time," the healer responded.

"How long till they all ready to move?"

"I'd say about 3, maybe 4 hours at best."

"Bollocks," Veraka cursed under his breath, "very well; just hurry."
Veraka walked over to Ariali, who was waiting by the doorway.
"Can you be ready to create that portal in about 3, 4 hours? That's when they'll be fully ready to move everyone."

Turning to regard Drakin, he said "You able to help me keep any would be drow infiltrators at bay; these folks are going to need some time to get ready to evac."

Ariali thought t about teleporting to the enemy camp and spying on their progress. When Veraka turned to Drakin, she turned and walked out, changed forms and teleported secretly to the drow camp.
as she watched their movment, she could see they already figured out the 'poison'. the group didnt have as much time as originally thought. She continued to watch, keen ears listening for pertinent information to bring back.

As Veraka turned towards him, Drakin pulled himself back to the present situation.

"I'm guessing you have some kind of plan here," Drakin said, "And please tell me it has something involving my blade and a priestess's neck. You know how I hate the 'sit and wait for them to attack' strategy, as I remember the last time we used that one we were rushed by goblins. True, we won that one, but I couldn't get rid of their smell for days..."

"A priestesses neck, perhaps, though this time, try not to get yourself captured. As much as I know that you actually [b:3mlqsezk]like[/b:3mlqsezk] being captured by drow, especially priestesses, try not to get their attention this time, I doubt they'll be as . . . gentle with you as they were last time."

"As for me and Aurora, if any more of those types of raiding parties come along, we'll be ready for them. So that being said, go around and do what you do best, just make sure that you [b:3mlqsezk]don't[/b:3mlqsezk] get caught by the priestesses this time round."

Within the raid encampment, Taberina had to smile to herself, "the fools thought that a simple food poison would stop us, how amusing." Her smile was squashed as she felt that same presence again, this time stronger. Turning to her lieutenant she ordered, "find me a hunting party, we need to eliminate that presence; I sense that it is one of the higher planes and a enemy of Lolth."

'she senses me? she must be very powerful or very favored,' she thought to herself as she cast santuary around her. for a second she thought to cast moonblade at the priestess; but she scolded herself for such thinking. When the hunting party gathered, she knew the village didnt have 4-5 hr. Ariali lit the priestess in orange faeire fire this time. 'they need more color.' she snickered.
with a simple thought, she vanished and reappeared near Veraka. she started to talk when she remembered she was still a wolf. changing quickly becuase of urgency, not caring the other male saw, she told Veraka what was happening, "they're sending a hunting party and was not fooled by the trick. they need to go, now! theres no time!"

Taberina was quick in getting a small, but formidable party put together for this hunt of hers; [i:zoccpiab]Now, celestial, you will die, along with that follower of yours.[/i:zoccpiab]
Just as she finished the thought, orange faerie fire lit her up like a torch, her comrades screamed in horror as they thought their leader was engulfed in an inferno.
"Fools," she shouted, "tis nothing more than a illusion!"

Veraka was directing the folks of the town, helping them for the evac, when he saw Ariali come racing out of the woods, transforming from wolf to elf, which drew a few curious glances from the townsfolk.

Upon hearing her report of the drow organizing a hunting party, Veraka's mind went into overdrive.
"Alright, find a safe distance from the village and gather there, I'll start sending the villagers that direction. Grab as many as you can along the way; also if you come across any fighters, tell them to report to me, we need to organize a defensive line of some sort."

He called to Aurora, [i:zoccpiab]Aurora, I'm gonna have to ask you to accompany Drakin to the drow encampment and stall them for as long as you can.[/i:zoccpiab]

"Hey, crazy with the blade, change a plan; I'm gonna need you to accompany Aurora to the drow encampment and stall them for as long as you can. I have an idea as to how you and Aurora can get into the camp undetected, but it will require you to play 'dead'."
