Meanwhile he got closer to the Giant cleric and when he got close he started rocking the top of the tree back and forth, and when it was just right he put the bow on his back and drew his blades as he leaped onto the giant cleric. Driving the blades in he'd use them as climbing axes to work his way up to the neck. Eili, his feline had all but found itself into one of his bags to be safe hiding in there for dear life. He personally was thankful that the cat didn't decide to just cling onto his shoulder the whole time. Would make life very difficult.

Inrii laughed at his comment. She figured he'd duck so she threw a fireball tword him to hit a giant behind him.
"artillery then?" chuckling she continued the game.
Midnight turned again weaving thru the trees. Zarstra half in the familier pocket was shooting magic missiles at the giants.

Veraka saw the fireball that Inri had conjured, and had to dive out of the way of the flaming ball as it zoomed by.
"Friendly fire! That damn near took my head off!" he cursed at Inri, getting up, only to have to dodge falling dead giant from behind.

She laughed again, "you had plenty of space and time, I didnt doubt. No need to get grumpy..."
As the giant started to fall, a magic missile hit him and the giant fell more to the side to miss Vereka.

Zazzt whistled shrilly, "No need to do the giants' job for them. Keep your spells to targeted ones only." He winked at Veraka, "I think he agrees with me on that one." Zazzt jumped on the stunned giant leader's back, and was soon on the creatures head. But the behemoth must have felt him as he ran, and so it was already turning, hoping to pin the monk under it's great bulk. But Zazzt was too quick for that, he jumped off, and whistled again, and called out to Inrii, "You like to fry stuff? Try this one on for size."

The cleric one was not happy with the drow on it's back. It didn't stop him from climbing up. When he got to a decent place he anchored himself in and between the movements, took a phial of poison and coated the blades. Coating them one at a time he took the chance between sways of the brute who was trying to remove him before making the mad dash to the neck. Once he was close he moved right in for the main bloodlines, Aiming to get the slashes to bit both vein and artery to draw the poison to both the brain and heart quickly. Worse came to worse he'd have a long flight down into the trees below.

Inrii shrugged. "i thought he would like the joke," she mumbled. "fireballs cant be worse than throwing knives...."
looking to Zazzt for what he planned to throw at her.
'does everyone feel a need to throw stuff at me?' she wondered.
Midnight neighed as Zazzt worked on the last(?) giant around.

Zazzt shrugged, and running up to the giant jumped, a good 6 feet, to reach it's face. While he was running, Zazzt conjured a pea of fire, and as he jumped, punched at the giant with his otherhand, knocking it's jaw open, and tossed the fireball down it's throat. By the time he landed, the fireball exploded. The force was not enough to burst the thing apart, but it was instantly fried, as hungry flames filled it's insides. Zazzt kicked the thing, and it toppled onto it's side, dead. He looked around, and saw the Zek on the clerics neck. Any decent assassin would have dispat he'd the thing in moments from such a position, and so Zazzt ignored it. The other giants were either dead or fleeing, and Zazzt decided to no pursue the. With their leaders dead, that group would be long in returning to these lands.

"You caught the blasted knife, you pyro-maniac" Veraka grumbled to Inri, rolling his eyes to emphasize the fact. He got up just as the final giant toppled over, dead.

He was enjoying playing with his prey a the blades dug in deep and he just slid down the throat making two gashes, narrow in terms of the creature's size. But like a snake bite, the venom was in such small wounds. The flesh already began to decay the venom working its magic almost instantly. The wound open to infection only made the process faster. Stopping at the collar bone he moved slightly but the giant was already faltering. Climbing back up to the shoulder he knelt down and drove the daggers in as the cleric fell to it's knees and then to the ground face first. Stabalizing himself throughout the situation, he didn't waste time in going to loot the corpse for anything worth while.

Zazzt noticed the efficacy of the venom. Potent stuff, must be expensive, he thought to himself, "How much did that cost you Zek?" He called, "Its extremely fast acting. I've never even heard of it."

"who doesnt like fire? I could have thrown up a fire wall instead, but that seamed overkill. Your not mad at me are you?" she asked in an innocent voice, then laughed. "I dont reckon your race plays jokes at each other then? that was rather nice compared to what I've seen. Getting caught by Jezz was almost worse. We better all regroup."
Midnight trotted back to the others.
"I did not expect giants in these woods and so close to the open fields of human settlements. If they have been allowed to be here, we must be wary. It it plausible they have destoryed the other farms."

a mile thru the trees, the end of Cormanthor, many of the farms laid in ruins and dead everywhere. The giants left little of the farms as they had moved inward to Cormanthor. Now most them laid dead or scattered. The giant leader, back in her lair, cursing the outcome of the raid. She had yet to discern any substantial information.

Inrii's shield was still up, but she was worried about Midnight freaking out. She levitated hoping to draw it away from the horse.
"You do realized, I killed a giant in the process," hovering a good distance above, "and please try not to injure my horse. I kinda like him." Zarstra had climbed more into the pocket as the scenario played out.

"I am all to aware of the fact that you fell the giant, seeing as I was nearly crushed by it's corpse; as for the horse, the bolt wouldn't have done more than irritate him a little, and if he's intelligent being, which I'm assuming he is, he would know that you weren't the one to summon the lighting, seeing as you love to blow stuff up." At this Aurora strode up beside Veraka, giving a very good reason for the horse to be nervous.
