(Ra'Sona, I'm assuming that this invisible won't open on its own.)

Veraka decided to make his presence known, starting with Zazzt.
"Hail, Zazzt! What brings you to these parts?" Veraka shouted at the monk, as he strode up to him.

((just in case, the lake is 10 days from the village, outpost about 4days...so its just woods and snow. were near a gorge with a 3 ft gap north of us. we'll be jumping it to continue north...))

Zarae looked at Cinder, "easy? is this bad?" Pwdn, Lyon and Frad joined them for breakfast. "Good morning? weird idea, since daylight is not normally good for us, but good morning to you."
Frad sat near Zarae, "sweets? I snuck a few from my Matron mothers stuff. that was a risky endever. but its not as good as this. many of the sweets were filled with liqueurs and i dont care for alcohol. so this grows from beans? i need these beans then."
as she finished the last piece she wondered if she should take some for the road.
"no that doesnt sound familiar. drinks are mostly wines because of scarcity of water. but my city had a nice, dangerous, but good quality lake and river. I can see you enjoy many of the breaded things. as for cooking, the house slaves did that. i can fire roast food should it be needed."

Adian reappeared, much less unruffled.

"Best eat everything you can," Adian said. "We have a gorge to cross and time to make up. Back to the real world."

That said he sat down and began devouring pretty much everything on the table within reach. Being a palidin was hard work...even when you weren't fighting the good fight.

Veraka still didn't know what to do about the fact that he could find no one around, though there were tracks leading up to . . well. . nowhere.
"This is really oddball." Veraka said to himself as he examined the prints in the snow. They just seemed to disappear. [i:1sle6e6u]No, that isn't right.[/i:1sle6e6u] he told himself as he extended an armored glove out. He felt some resistance meet his hand; something solid was indeed there, it was just invisible.
Getting irritated by the fact that he couldn't figure it out, he balled his armored glove into a fist. [i:1sle6e6u]Well then; let's see what it is[/i:1sle6e6u] he thought to himself as he brought his fist around and slammed it into the invisible obstacle. The obstacle reverberated back. He held his fist there for a moment, then he removed it. [i:1sle6e6u]It was probably nothing[/i:1sle6e6u] he thought as he turned to leave.

Adian's ears twitched.

"Was that a [i:25qge1if]knock[/i:25qge1if] I just heard?" he asked. "I thought this place wasn't visible from the outside."

" It seems it is not invisible to some one I think " Cinder replied

" Chocolate can be addictive Zarea you might find it difficult to stop craving it "

~ she choose a apple from a basket of fruit on the table ~ " may I pack some of this fruit and perhaps a few other food items Zazzt or are you planning on wiping up a feast at every turn ?"

Adian grabbed his sword and hooded cloak...and added the cloth over his eyes for good measure. Even that did not prepare him for the glare of the morning sun off the snow. He had to squint to see the figure moving away from the magical portal.

"You!" he shouted. "Who are you?"

He held his sword sheathed, but ready to be drawn the instant any kind of attack came.

At the sound of a voice shouting from behind him, Veraka spun around, unsheathing his sword that was on his back. He gauged the drow that was standing before him with a curious glance; then his aasimar senses caught wind of something, the aura that surrounded this drow was significantly different than that of the rest of his kind.
[i:22es0u8z]Strange, it resembles that of a . . paladin. Now that is most intriguing[/i:22es0u8z] Veraka thought to himself; [i:22es0u8z]Hells, I'm not in much of a position to be saying anything.[/i:22es0u8z]
"Veraka Orden." he called back to the unusual drow paladin.

-As Veraka Orden called out his name it was overpowered by a load roar.

[img:2r9tqek8]http://www.freewebs.com/dragowarriors/silver-dragon.jpg[/img:2r9tqek8]

Suddenly a Silver Dragon appeared from the gorge flying high up into the air with what looks like a Drow on its back. The dragon starts heading strait to where Veraka and Adian are standing with a furious look in its eyes it passes over the two with its back facing the ground, revealing a Drow hanging on to its back.

The dragon flies over the nearby trees letting the trees scratch its back. The Drow looses his grip and falls to the ground, hitting branch after branch of the trees landing in a big pile of snow.-

-The Drow gets up screaming in discussed- Two days and I have nothing to show for it!!! Catching and training a Silver Dragon is harder than any I have ever trained...

Veraka ducks reflexively as the wyrm passes over his head. As he raises his head to see what in the Nine Hells was going on, he noticed a half-drow getting up from its fall. Veraka overheard something about training a dragon. A bemused smile came to cover his face. Veraka shook his head, [i:3j1qsxtq]and here I thought I was the one who had a problem. Why is he trying to train a silver, anyways. Those dragons are good- aligned. [/i:3j1qsxtq] he thought to himself.
"You know, silver dragons tend to make better allies and friends than mounts." he shouted at the over-eccentric half-drow.

Adian stared at the stranger and the madman, trying to sort through this strange turn of events. This Veraka did not strike him as a potential danger, but the idiot who had nearly gotten himself killed...

[i:2cvjxz0a]Trying to train a...silver? Madness indeed.[/i:2cvjxz0a]

He opened his mind to use his Sight (detect evil), and discovered the almost exact opposite in Veraka. The other one...

Frad shrugged and slaughtered the fritters. "Well, it tastes worse'n dirt just wi't beans ground up to powder, stuff's got sugar an' milk an' such added or it just in't edible. Dependin' on how ya make it ya can have it sweeter an' milkier or more bitter an' darker. I. . . what?!" His hand caught at his axe as the roar of a dragon was heard overhead and made to pull it free before he realised that they were still inside. "'Scuse me, miss." Frad moved to the doorway to try and see what was going on, Lyon and Pwdn joining him there.

Pwdn walked out to the fallen Drow and stood beside him once he had gotten to his feet, bowing graciously to the stranger at the doorway as she slipped past him. "Are you okay? Do you need healing at all?"

((lets see, 3 drows, 1 half drow, 1 human, 1 dwarf and 1 elemental? 4 horses and 1 caribu...did i miss anyone?
what a group to tackle the lake thing...lol))

Zarae heard the sounds. and the sound of a [i:2m9rt7vw]dragon[/i:2m9rt7vw]? That cant be the one Pyoro mentioned. She hopped up as everyone headed to the door. now there were 2 more outside. the horses were neighing and paceing about. She hopped on Moonlight and exited with the rest into the bright morning light. it didnt bother her so much as it should have. She looked to the others.
[i:2m9rt7vw]what is going on...?[/i:2m9rt7vw] she signed.

[i:3pjzdao0]You remember that dragon the priest mentioned?[/i:3pjzdao0] Adian singed back with an irritated snap to his gestures. [i:3pjzdao0]It appears as if this idiot laying in the snow over here may have angered it by trying to make it into a [b:3pjzdao0]mount[/b:3pjzdao0]. Any chance we may have had to speak peacefully with it may have gone out the window and into the privy.

As for the tall fellow...I do not sense a threat from him.[/i:3pjzdao0]

Veraka sensed the irritation within the drow paladin as he walked up to greet him, his armor glistening with the suns rays as much as the snow; at one point, the light reflected off of his armor blinded him. [i:3eyshtky]Bahamut, of all the things you could have given me, a set of full-plate armor made from your own scales; not that I'm complaining, saved my butt on several occasions.[/i:3eyshtky]
