I'd been walking for quit some time. The day was warm but thankfully the forest canopy shaded me as I wandered through the cool understory.

I had to say that I was beginning to think I was lost. I'd was traveling to an Inn run by faithful of Eilistraee to see who was in charge and how their relations with other communities were. I'd offer my help to act as liaison if they had any difficulties. Being a Knight Captain in the Golden Lions tends to make most law abiding villiages and towns take notice and think twice about persecuting those they mistaken see as hostile drow.

I paused suddenly as I thought I heard a woman's voice not far off ahead. I couldn't quite see who it was so I lightly jogged forward until I emerged onto a deserted path that cut through the forest.

"Hello? Is there anybody there?" I called out.

I looked about trying to see who had spoken.

OOC: he's just around a bend in the path and can't quite see the woman ;)

She was moving quickly, and the voice as well as the presence of another worried her, it caught her attention and she ducked back, skirting into the woods and started moving slower.

She was very wary of anyone she might run into especially durring the night, the creatures of the night where the ones that where a danger to her now, not the ones of the day, and as she peeked out from behind the trunk of a great oak she saw the figure, the man, human.

So it was unlikely he would be a threat to her, his armor, was familiar to her and it erased any other doubts of him, he would not attack her she decided. So she stepped out from behind the tree, ironcially enough which was directly infront of him, the white of her gown made her stand out in the dark.

"Mi'lord, my appoligies I did not mean to startle you" she referanced him as such to keep suspicion off of her, he would not guess what and who she was as long as she spoke as such to her, even with someone she felt she could give a little trust in she was wary.

She watched him that wary look in her eyes, suspicion why he would be out at such a late hour, why he was traveling along this road. She kept a wary few steps from him and she did bare the look of someone who was being hunted, it was not possible to completely hide it when taken so unaware as she was. It was rare, normally her voices would tell her before anyone got close enough to her, they didnt this time. It meant he was not a danger but weather he was an ally? She didnt know.

T'risstree had been following Talwyn in secret.

She'd blended into the shadows, moving silently behind him. Talwyn had no idea that he literally had two shadows with him which amused her somewhat as she glided without a sound over leaves and twigs scattered over the forest floor.

She had an idea that if she followed the paladin, he'd no doubt get himself into trouble at some point amd she would have to get him out of it. Not that he wasn't a capable fighter, its just that his ideas and code were rather rigid and inflexible and sometimes a more subtle and gentle way might be needed, as well the need to be ruthless and take actions that he would not even contemplate.

She stopped when she heard a womans voice speaking in Drow.

Her curiousity was piqued but she shook her head to herself when Talwyn started calling out. Foolish man she thought, it could be a trap! Sighing silently to herself she followed him still sticking to the shadows and carefully watched the path on both sides for signs of movement.

A woman stepped out right in front of him from behind a tree. Typical fool male she grinned. It'd serve him a well earned lesson if he got stabbed for being so careless. Still, he was an ally that she found amusing and didn't really want to see him get hurt. She looked over the dorw woman who'd stepped out from behind the tree and decided to wait and see what Talwyn would do before she took any action.

Sometimes the best action to take was none at all.

The woman caught me unawares when she stepped out from behind a tree that was directly in front of me.

I blinked in surprise as she spoke her apology to me.

I smiled graciously back to her and gave her a small polite bow.

"Dear lady, it is I who must ask for you pardon. I heard a voice speaking and was curious as to who would be out here in these woods alone. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Talwyn Aureliano, paladin of Torm & Knight-Captain of the Golden Lions. I find myself in need of your aid as I am a little lost at the moment."

I smiled at her but made no move forward and kept my hands away from any weapons to show I was no threat to her.

A humm buzzed in her mind and her pose went from wary to all out defensive as she took two steps backwards. Her eyes darted to the wood behind him, pain and worry clear in those redish violet orbs, she seemed to look through him. She didn't see anything but it didn't change anything.

She seemed to be listening but there was nothing for her to listen to, then she seemed to relax a slight bit. Whatever had upset her had her relaxing back a slight bit but not entierly.

"Of course Mi'lord, where are you on your way to? I will assist you as much as I can"

she paused for a moment like she had more to say then thought better of it then she evidentally decided to say something.

"Are you traveling alone tonight?" it was a peculiar question indeed but the voices had told her he wasn't alone, that meant he was either with someone or he was hunted by someone. If he was hunted that made him dangerous to her, would they use a paladin to get to her? The question was clear, yes. Yes they would.

T'risstree eyes narrowed as she noted that somehow the woman had sensed her presense. She berrated herself silently for staying to close to the paladin as this had allowed the woman sense her. It was her concern for him that had over ridden her natural caution and stealth sense. Still, no point in moaning over split Rothe milk she thought.

She stepped out of the shadows with her hands raised in greetings.

"Vedui' dalninil wun l' kaas d'lil quar'valsharess. Ussta kaas zhah T'risstre lu' Usstan hass'l dos nau jivviim,"[/color:33z55ucp] she said to the woman in a quiet voice and then said to Talwyn, "And hello again Paladin, it is nice to see you once more." [/color:33z55ucp]

She couldn't hold back the little smile that came out when Talwyn turned about as he followed the womans look behind him to see T'risstree smirking back at him and the woman in front of him.

Goddess he was fun to tease.

Her vision left the Paladin completely, he could have ceased to exist her vision was fixated on the woman now. She sized her up, her words, her manner.

She spoke as a daugher of Eilistraee which calmed her a little bit, voices hummed in her head again.

[i:3lhs7aa6] She's your sister along the path, follow your teachings as always.[/i:3lhs7aa6][/color:3lhs7aa6]

It was all she needed and she bowed her head to both of them, in both acklowledgement and respect.

"Xal l'isto kyorl dos al dalharil d'l'quar'valsharess"

She said to the other before regarding to them both, this time in common instead of the native tongue of the drow.

"Forgive my rudeness to you both, I am Myna Mirshan, daughter of Eilistraee. My the lady guide your steps always" she said smoothly.

I turned about following the womans worried glance behind me and watched in mild surprise as T'risstree emerged from the shadows. I raised an eyebrow and shook my head. It seemed she'd been following me for some reason.

"Hail to you T'risstree," I said with a brief nod before turning back to the lady in front of us.

T'risstree already introduced herself and the lady, who at first seemed uncertain and a little apprehensive, now spoke back her greetings.

"Well met Myna Mirshan, daughter of Eilistraee." I replied with a smile and then stepped aside to let T'risstree speak with her sister in faith and race.

Lizarus looked over at the door of the inn, and heard a chat. He probably would go out to join it, but he was too tired. He just wanted to sit for a while. He poured a glass of wine for himself. He just leaned back, and relaxed.

Gareth looked around the table, at the people, Elwyn the puppeteer, Using other constructs to fight for him, Lizarus, The little spineless rouge. "One more honey mead, please." he said to the waiter that just walked by the table. Soon he had his mead in his hand, sipping his drink. Flipping a coin in his hand out of boredom.

"Lu'xal l'drathir ssussun mrigg dosst unboi'en dalninil"[/color:1vwkkydv] replied T'risstree to Myna as Talwyn courtesly stepped aside to let her speak to Myna. That male knows how to behave properly she thought briefly before focusing on Myna.

"Myna, may I ask what you are doing alone in the woods? You look fearful and apprehensive. Is someone hunting you? What troubles you sister?"[/color:1vwkkydv] T'risstree asked with concern on her face.

She watched them both for a moment, listening and seeming to weiger how much she should or could say. How much was safe, both for them as well as herself.

Both had proven friendly enough true but her hunters had many faces and even more tricks. Her mind quieted as she thought as she worked through the poissibilities in the fraction of a second.

"It is dangerous tonight my sister. I would sudgest you find safer waters" she said far too vaguely. "You aswell mi'lord" she referanced him her eyes traveling to him for moments before they settled back on the other drow before her.

"L'l'inya d'l'orbb valsharess zhah rilvel'klar nindol isto. Ulu tlu au uns'aa zhah l'mzulst sreen'aur d'jal k'lar" she spoke smoothly, perhaps the most she had told anyone.

[i:2yzm5g4k] Continue your path my child, the wolves will be on the move again shortly.[/i:2yzm5g4k][/color:2yzm5g4k]

Pain, worry, and a slight glaze of apprehension, it wasnt quite fear but it was close traveled across her eyes. She couldn't start to move again yet though.

Between a rock and a hard place, she thought. If she stayed she would put them aswell as herself in danger, if she just left...she didn't know. She would risk to sit still a bit longer.

"I appologize, I must move shortly, the longer I stay the more dangerous is becomes for me as well as anyone near me. Neither of you need be to risk your lives anymore than you already have. She of the darkness is the least forgiving of any I have encountered."

She listened quietly while Myna spoke. That there was danger was no concern to T'risstree. Living with danger and the constant threat of attack was almost a return to normal life for her. The need for vigilance was like when she was back in her home city. No where was ever truly safe and always, something or someone could be hunting you. She cleared her throat and spoke in firm quiet tones.

"Sister, our lives are ours to risk if you are in danger. That is our choice which we accept and have chosen as a way of life. The paladin and I will do what ever is necessary to ensure that you reach safe haven if that is what you seek. The eyes of the spider queen may be on us but so are the eyes of the Dark Dancer and the paladin's god Torm and two against one is always better odds, no?"[/color:37capfty] T'risstree replied with a quietly confident air and wry smile.

She glanced at Talwyn who nodded in agreement with her. Good man she thought. She knew she could rely on him to defend a maiden in distress. For him, that was a task that he needed no incentive or encouragement to volunteer for. It was second nature for a paladin. She didn't feel guilty at manipulating the conversation so as to coerce him into this course of action. It needed to be said and he would follow her lead, as should any worth while male.

"Myna, tell us where you need to go and we will escort you safely there."[/color:37capfty]T'risstree patted Myna reassuringly on her arm.

Gareth looking bored and tired, was actually alert and ready "I will escort you too if that is what you wish, I mean I cant just leave a damsel in distress alone to fend for herself." I said with a grin and a chuckle and another sip of my mead.

She looked at the both of them with puzzlement on her face. Why would they risk life and limb to help her? She had been told they where safe though, that she could put her trust in them, the other was a sister to her in faith and the other was not prone to the darkness of the spider queen. Should they find her it would be an asset to have someone to help her.

"You would risk everything to travel along side me? Why?" she asked curiously but she was moving if they wanted to travel with her they could fall into step with her, but to sit still any longer was dangerous.

"I appreciate that you would offer to assist me, however there is no safe haven for me. There is no place I am safe, I must only follow the path the Dark Maiden sets before me"

She wondered idily if they would be prone to believe her if she told them the story of her, if it would scare them away or if they would simply think she was crazy.
