Zazzt looked at Gareth out of the corner of his eye, "The pit fiends, yes, we could kill, and easily... However", he looked past them at Charon, "Him, I am not so certain about..." And he followed one of them down the hatch.

As soon as they were out of Charon's sight, or so Zazzt hoped, in a flurry he drew his swords and fell upon one of the pit fiends, reducing the thing to nothing more than a headless and limbless mass within the matte of seconds. The remaining two fiends jumped on him, claws screeching over his wards.

Zazzt shrugged, "Could be your heritage," he said, and started walking back the way they had come. He hadn't gone a step before a pillar of flames leapt up in his path. Out of those flames stepped out Charon, his staff in both hands, and aimed at Zazzt's head, who had just enough time to duck, avoiding having his head splattered all over the walls of the ship.

She ducked behind an upcropping of baren rocks and earth, her normal white garb had been replaced by tight brown leather pants in which the sides where lanced up showing her dark skin benith them. Across her top sat a simular brown corsette with green trim. Across her shoulders sat a long black cloak, the hood fell back as she crouched low, revealing her hair though there was no one there to see it. She heard the screaching of infernal speach cross just past her as two demonic guards walked past. She didn't move and let their voices fade off into the darkness, her eyes flecked with violet now fastened onto the vision of the ship as it dissapered through the portal that lead into the next layer of hell.
She let out a breath as the humm of the voices threatened to cloud her vision. She nodded thinking in the back of her head instead of saying it.
[i:21h49cl4]Yes mistress, then what?[/i:21h49cl4]
She closed her eyes but breifly, this time the demonic guard turned the wrong way and turned to face her crouched form, it opened its mouth to call out and in that instant her hand was on its disgusting abdomen and a flash of power without sound and a flash of white light, the next moment where the demon once stood was ash. It would however of drawn attention to herself and she was moving, she followed the commands of the voices that hummed in her head as she whirled around pausing at another outcropping she took something from a pouch on her side, swollowing the contents of a colored vial, her very form started to shift and fade away.
She moved out manuvering the demons that could see through her visage and running right past the ones who could not. It made her trek alot easier.
As she paused she mouthed the words of her prayer, she didnt speak it however it was too dangerous for her to make any sound, she waited for it, the distraction, and it came just as the voice told her it would. When the opening was there she darted through, pain shot through her as she fell through the portal, her mind swimming she had to grip onto her sense of sanity, mortals where not meant to walk through hell like this and she had not been prepared for it.
No time she reminded herself, she knew the longer she delayed the more danger they would be in, she didnt even know who she was going after, she just knew where to go, the vision, what they looked like and what would happen if she was late. She pulled herself to her feet, after having fallen, and raced off again, the vision of what her failure would cost them whoever they where.
She saw it then, the ship, the boat, she could hear it. She did not have alot of time, the best way to go about this. The voice rang in her head, told her to get on and talk to the being that was named Charon. She blinked in confusion but obeyed, pulling from her inherint magics and lifted herself into the air up, it would only take her so far up she caught an out cropping on the edge of the boat and climbed up, leaping up and over the edge. Just as the invisability that had seen her this far had worn off. Several horrid visions of demonic presences looked toward her as she landed she dropped to a bow for a moment before speaking to them in their own language. Her tone was harsh and demanding though not rude, she needed them to listen to her not attack her, as much as her nature cursed against it, she was told this was the way she should try to manuver around the situation so she obeyed.
"I wish to speak to your master. Now"
It would be enough, in her name she hoped it would be enough and that she was not too late. She stood tall and proud, unafraid regardless of the churning of her stomach and faced them as a follower of Lloth would instead of one of the lighter of the godesses. It was the visage she needed right now, power and command. She could afford to show more respect when Charon was the one she was dealing with. Lesser demons where not quite so..open minded and she knew it.

It was all Zazzt could do, dodging Charon's staff, occasionally getting a hit in, but Charon showed no signs of weakening, and that staff continued to pound on the walls of the ship. Zazzt had no time to weave any spell, and his swords did not seem to have much effect on the ages old hide of Charon.
"Gareth, assist me." He called out, but that distraction cost him a hit on shoulder, then a crack was heard, and that arm suddenly went limp.

Grabbing the bow once more off his back, He readied the shot, The possible shot that could end this battle, He pulled the string, Tightened his arms... and it flew, The soft feathers of the fine arrow only grazing Zazzt's cheek, Alerting him. The arrow hit Charon right in between the eyes, But seemed to have no effect.
"I WILL hit you"
He said, in a rage. Gareth drawing his sword ran full speed at Charon appearing to go in for a full attack that would be blocked, But Gareth was smarter than that, He rolled on his shoulders beside Charon, Pivoting to appear behind him, Going for a Vertical slash from behind him that he thought had no way of missing.

He was correct, Gareth's sword connected solidly with Charon's back, and he even managed to give him a long gash, but just as soon as Gareth's sword touched Charon's back, his staff whipped around, aimed for Gareth's head.

Zazzt sheated one of his swords, and with that hand, pointed at Charon. A forked blot of lightning struck him in the back. Charon was lifted off his feet, and slammed into the wall. He slid down to the floor, a thin trail of blood was left on the wall. Zazzt quickly ran over to Gareth, and helped him to his feet, "Run, we cannot fight him in here." With that, Zazzt and Gareth sprinted back up the stairs, onto the main deck.

Zazzt realized that Gareth's head was bleeding. He turned around, and saw that Gareth was slowing down slightly, but in this fight, that slightly could prove fatal. Zazzt ran over to him, and pick Gareth up, carrying him on his shoulders. When he felt they were far enough away, Zazzt poured a healing potion down Gareth's throat, and his wounds began to knit together.

As soon as they stepped upon the deck, they were surrounded by a group of 10 bearded devils. They chuckled gleefully, and swung their saw toothed glaives excitedly. Zazzt turned back to back with Gareth and asked him, "Ready for another bout?"
