OOC: Fine...

IC: Rogar chuckled, "Come now, let us honor the lady's wishes, my good friend the Tormite, and show the world a great battle." With that, Rogar walked right past Talwyn, and out of the doors of the inn, black cloak swishing through the air.

OOC: thanks for the :D on the music - it really does set the mood just right ;) Insane assassin being played wonderfully

IC:

I nodded slightly to myself as recalled the words of one of the Knight Generals' back in Tantras - You always have a chance when fighting an evil man as they likely to grandstand and boast but when you face a good man, he will kill you with hardly a word.

Not taking my eyes of Rogar for an instant I said,

"Lady Katriana, I respect your wishes," and with that I followed Rogar out of the Inn.

OOC: You dont mind if we use this thread, twill be an epic fight :)

IC: Rogar stopped, and spun around just past the gates, his strange sword and dagger weaving in front of one another, "You see, the reason that I asked about my sword is that I know you did not see a blade, because, as far as you are concerened there isn't one." He started to circle around Talwyn, "A blade's effectiveness is measured by the thinness of its edge. In that respect, my blade cuts anything with which it comes into contact with. Its other properties I will let you find out as the fight progresses." He smiled

OOC: ooohh nice pick of theme music ^.^ ;)

IC:

Shadows had enveloped T'risstree as the paladin and assassin faced each other and she had faded from almost everyones sight.

She watched the assassin carefully and noted his remark about being able to see more than just what a normal man could.

It appeared that the owner of the Inn was putting her foot down and was forcing the two men to duel outside.

She glided unseen past Talwyn as he turned to walk out of the Inn, lightly touching his hand.

"Blessings of the Dark Dancer be with you[/color:2cdegt78]," she whispered to him.

Zazzt suddenly teleported next to Gareth, standing, hands on hips, looking down at the assembled group and the two combatants, "Now, what is going on there?" He asked sullenly, Scrap cawed happily, and Zazzt glanced at him, and scratched his head.

OOC: bless a buff? good grief ;) it's a 1st level spell :p
Now if it were stone skin... I'd agree with you :)

IC:

I felt the brief soft touch of something on my hand as I walked out and heard, "Blessings of the Dark Dancer be with you," whispered a woman. I think it must have been T'risstree as she had disappeared into the shadows, a neat trick if I may say. The small favour that Eilistraee had bestowed on me was welcome but would not last long.

I looked at the assassins sword. It had the appearance of a Black Blade of Disaster, a lethal instrument of death. So it cuts through anything eh? Best not to let it cut then.

I jiggled my right arm, dislodging a very small paper packet that was up my vanbrace. I stepped forward as the assassin circled, unarmed save for the package which I then threw into his face. The packet tore open in the air, spraying a small cloud red hot chilli powder into his face. His mask would protect him mostly but enough would get into his good eye to make it very uncomfortable.

"Its a long story Zazzt, You see The paladin wishes to arrest the evil Assasin, The paladin has proof and the assasin isnt going without a fight. So they figure, lets fight, But the bartender kicked them out so the bar wouldnt be utterly destroyed. There was also some drama in the mix, but i didnt pay it much attention. But enough talk, Lets watch the fight."

She slowly recovered her mumblings fading away and her eyes returned to normal as she heard the hum of voices as several patrons had left the bar but it was more than that hostility sat thick on the air she could feel it, a fight? Yes she knew it would come down to this, it was why she had left. She had recovered enough now enough that she would defly minorly and move around peering around the corner of the building to observe the group her eyes settling at last on the two men she closed her eyes briefly even if it was difficult to see benith the dark glasses that still sat over her eyes.

Rogar's normal eye was blinded, and he licked the pepper off of his lips, "Hmm, is this your way of starting the fight, throw seasoning on me, are you a cannibal?" He ripped off his mask, his magic eye looking straight at Talwyn, "Did you forget about this?" He lunged at Talwyn with the dagger, so quickly that the blade couldn't be seen. That might have ended the fight then and there, but the blade came up short, stopping just centimeters from Talwyn's bresatplate. Rogar hopped back, and went back to his circling, "Well, now, I think my attempt of intimidation was more effective, eh?"

As he stepped back my left hand shot forward, grabbing his right wrist, imprisioning it in a iron like grip. I used my right hand to grab him by the throat in a choking throttling vice like death grip.

His eyes buldged as I began to squeeze the life out of him, my fingers digging into the soft flesh of his scarred neck, pushing on his carotorid arteries. Nothing would make me let go now, not even death.

In the eastern realms I was taught that if you faced with an opponent who had a superior weapon that could defeat you then the way to defeat him was to "grab his belt buckle and hold on", in other words get in real close so he can't use the weapon against you. His sword was no longer a threat.

However, it I'd left the assassins off hand free to strike.

Rogar's hands worked quickly, in the blink of an eye, his sword was in his off hand, and the blade shrank in size, until it was the size of a dagger. He grinned wickedly, and the point dove into Talwyn's arm, not causing any damage, but sinking to the hilt, Rogar danced free, smiling, his sword grew to full size again, and it was in his dominant hand again, "Come paladin, I had expected better of you, after all, you Tormites had training enough to raze a village of women and children to the ground, I can not be that much of a problem." He was out of Talwyn's reach again.

OOC: umm...you may have swapped out the weapon and stabbed Tal but he's was still grappling Rogar. Tal's had got him by the right arm arm and by the throat. Unless Rogar is stronger than strength 18, he should have been pinned...but hey...it'll go for now.

IC:

The assasin swopped out his sword from his right hand and stabbed me with his off hand in the arm. Somehow he twisted free from my grip.

No matter. I need no weapon to defeat him. I will face him as Torm faced Bane, with bare hands alone.

As he taunted me, I darted forward with blinding speed which left him flat footed as ducked under his sword swipe and rose upwards with a flurry of blows, each blow smashing into his head & face with bone crunching force causing dep facial cuts to open over his eyes.

I felt his nose shatter and blood sprayed out sending crimson droplets flying.

The assassin reeled back blinking tears of pain as the agony of his ruined nose began to bite.

OOC: Well, I had thought that getting stabbed in the arm would get that response, and in any case you get a check to get out of a grapple, which can be made with an escape artist check...

IC: Rogar reeled back, blinking tears out of his eye, and he snapped his arm forward, and his dagger grew into a sword, while his other arm pumped furiously, with each swing, his sword would grow to close the gap between him and Talwyn, with such speed, and from so many angles that the air between them seemed to be filled with that blackness. The cuts began to accumlate on Talwyn's body, face, neck, and body, none of which were fatal, but painful nonetheless.

T'risstree followed both men outside, along with many of the Inn's patrons and staff to watch as the death duel began.

She was still encased in shadow and moved deftly and silently among the crowd to get the best vantage spot. The crowd stood back and cheered on the fighters.

T'risstree let the shadow disipate, becoming visible again as it was clear she would not be involved in this fight.

She watched as the assassin flicked his sword out in a sharp but non lethal strike then smiled as the paladin used a simple but very effective blinding powder to cause the assassin misery.

The paladin grappled with the assassin and they struggled for a moment before the assassin broke free at taunted the paladin. His words were cut short as Talwyn sprang forward and unleashed a flurry of blows on the assassin. Each punch smashing into the assassin's face with jarring force.

T'risstree found herself cheering as one of the punches broke the assassins nose.

"[b:3f4ts6oy]Onward son of Torm! Smash him[/b:3f4ts6oy]!"[/color:3f4ts6oy] she yelled out enthusiastically in encouragement.
