I think you may find that a lot of people would disagree with you on that.

Not sure we should get into politics, we already have other issues to deal with.

I didnt vote for him..just to add that in..[/quote:1jk92dkh]

See, thats why I vote for a third party... or myself... or draw things in the circles... that way I still voted but no matter who wins I didn't vote for the jack ass.

Going back a bit here, I think the major powers of the world (U.S.A., E.U., Russia, China, Japan, Australia etc, etc, etc) should work together on the energy issue, my suggestion would involve a contest between the nations to come up with the most effective alternative to fossil fuels they can, share the designs and the winner gets a portion of all the profits.

But I've always been a little overly optimistic about international politics.

And who would set the contest up? And what guarantee would you have about Russia's involvement? They earn a lot more annually now on oil and I don't think they'd be keen on finding a new source of energy. Or they could do it out of sheer ambition.

Except that as far as I know UN is an organisation that is satisfied only when all the countries having veto status agrees. This includes the countries that may have n*billion $ industries and thereby so to speak biased decision-makers. I'm afraid it is not a board of black and white but mostly something that will turn out grey. By this I mean that UN will not conclude anything helpful from this. This is my fears only and should not be interpreted as anything else.

so i guss it's up to our indevideul contreys of orgin to come up with a cost effective and envirmetley frendly fuel sourse. unless some thrid party sponser that contest that Alak suggested. or a thrid even more unlikely but cooler option would be to clonize space and mine the fuels for our contrys but that would be limited to the dozen or so contrys that have space progams ([b:321bffqb]U.S.A[/b:321bffqb],russia,china,england,japan,etc,etc) we might also see future disputes between said contrys that may lead to earths first inerstller war. now that would be something

I voiced my opinion on the message boards here.

http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.ph ... 413&page=8

If anyone would like to do so as well, I'd greatly encourage it. Or perhaps we could get a consensus together. I'd be willing to consider relaying it, though I think that the more people that speak out (as opposed to one large post), the better.

Also, there are many others who oppose the changes. Quite a number of them have decided to continue the Realms differently than "canon" and are coming together here, The Realms Vault.

Another option is Paizo, who are planning on still releasing products based on the 3.5 rules. I gave info about them here...

sounds good but will they stay true to the D&D/FR flavor that weve gotten used to?

Well Ed Greenwood is writing for Paizo.
Odds are very low he can directly inflience FR content because of his contract with WotC, however they clearly can get a sense of his vision should they choose to follow it.
3.X is open game lisense so it might be posible Ed Greenwood can even provide 3rd edition content to Paizo while still under contract to WotC that hs moved on to 4th Edition.
All in all it is a legal issue as to what is premitted and what not permitted WotC might allow to be used.
