I remember when I was seven, my dad made me a sandwich to take to school. The day passed mostly normal (a few open fists here and there, general tomboy crap) until it rag for recess (if that's how you spell it.)
The biggest dude that came around wanted that sandwich.
No once.
No twice.
And then the bastard hit me. The teacher who saw did nothing, but tried this 'positive something' crap;
She turned her back, and he went at it again.
I let him take my sandwich. In fact, that sandwich (thankfully sitll in aluminum foil) was so good, I just couldn't let him look at it, and then eat, and then digest...no, no. I let him digest RIGHT away.
After that he was admitted to a hospital, and later pronounced the only kid who ever got a sandwich showed up his ass. Literally.
After that, he came back, and never bothered anyone ever again. In fact, if I recall correctly, he's in a Christian school right now.
God damn bastard owes his Mercedes, all his Gucci crap and the rest to me AND my sandwich.
Son of a bitch.

That fact being given, how does positive/negative reinforcement not work?[/quote:13m9rzkm]
I never said negative reinforcement doesn't work, just positive. All positive reinforcement does is alienate the kids who are already well behaved. My nephew got into trouble because he asked for a piece of candy after saying please and thank you but since he wasn't on the "naughty list" there were no rewards for his good behavior, so rather than being rewarded for being clever enough to figure that out on his own he had to skip recess for the day.
And yes girl do act out more than boys, my sisters got into more trouble in a week than I did in a year

[quote="Rooky":1kqyj521]This isn't a classroom, this is Hell with neon lighting.

Sounds like my highschool years.
Hell is working in a hot place, wearing a blue paper body suit(hazardous waste type), latex gloves a facemask and working with fiberglass.. and you're sweating so much you could fill a bucket.
Pay's decent tho.(yes this is my new job its alright just a lot of work more than what i expected).

[quote:2ljrf8i9]Just like in Faustus:[/quote:2ljrf8i9]
Mephistophiles: Why this is Hell, Nor am I out of it. Do you not think that I who beheld the grace of God, am not tormented by a thousand Hells.
...yeah...I'm a nerd. That's from memory, so I could be slightly wrong.
New thought:
What if objective reality is subjective, and subjective reality is objective?
What if their is no life, and no death?
What if we're all just zits on God's back?
