The dark elf blushes deeply a shade of pink over her greyish blue skin tone. She manages a slightly embarrissed smile to Elron.

I'm terribly sorry, Elron. After meeting Sir Tarvis the first time, wading through cat tails and turning out to be so refined and gentleman like, well, I thought since you are his friend you might also be as well.

Slogs red eyes glance to steal a look at Bludgeon who seems to be gushing with girlish glee after hearing Elron's kind responseto her. The orc farmer clears his throat and pours everyone a drink from his bottle of blackberry wine. He answers Elron once more.

Slog glad to know. Tomorrow we test skills at Rozdrurra City. Maybe we figure out mystery there.

Bludgeon raises her green eyes to steal a quick glance at Slog as he tries one of the boar meat dumplings with mushroom sauce dripping down his thick green dimpled chin. His black thick eyebrows raise in delight. He swallows the dumpling whole. The orc woman smiles to Elron while refilling his cup of tea, She looks to Tarvis.

Bludgeon wonder...leader Tarvis have plan for whole group or each one a different move?

Slog swallows another dumpling, licking sauce from his thick green fingers.

Slog want to know this too. What say you, Tarvis?

The little fairy lifts the edge of the napkin while sniffing the air. She sleepily rubs her tiny eyes and awakens to the scent the sweet baked goodness.

Ugh...me stomach tinks me trote's been cut.
Oh how I'd love to get stuck in with ye me lads but me wee legs and wings be highly motivated to do nothing at all.

Mouxsie lays on her back looking to the sweet rolls. It's then she also notices the bottle of blackberry wine as well. She sets her thimble on the counter top beside the napkin.

Alms for the poor in spirit, maybe a crust of bread, me muckers?

Elron puzzles how he might been understood to be by Lielanni, though might have to stay with Lady when addressing her..

Lady Lielanni, I do hope to attain as much honor as Tarvis has in your eyes.

Nods to Slog.

I can sometimes unravel such puzzles. Certainly will do my best.

As Bludgeon and make their requests Tarvis pours MouXsie some of the wine and gives her a sweet roll, while answering Bludgeon and Slog's question.

For now the plan is that we all go together to the city entrance, the Eye of the Needle. Where we set and store our spare supplies that we bring. Leaving Moose and Bess to watch over as best as they can. All I expect from them is to keep small creatures raiding the supplies.

Then we all enter the city gateway. Traveling the same path that MouXsie and I followed our last visit. In part to see if a knife dropped is still in the same place. There though is one other thing we should do as we entered. When we turned to return the skeletons appeared to block our leaving. So as we enter I want us to search for where they might be hidden. If we find that we might find a quicker way to the answer. The place appears immense so that if we split apart we might never see each other again. There are crystal room with waterfall and a pond room filled with lilies as the first point of possible separation. Both could be traps as well. If we do not find another way we will decide which looks best. MouXsie could maybe fly into both for a quick look. I want to know however if we turn around if we will be attacked again and if there are more. If that happens I want to search more fully that area to see if we can find where they come from.

The fairy snatches bits of sweet roll to eat and sits up to drink from her thimble. She looks pale and still very tired.

Thanks, Mate.

The dark elf wears a simple closed mouth smile. Her crimson eyes move from Tarvis to Elron.

We've only just met. This journey, I think, has everyone a little unsure about things. Once we get started, I'm sure we will get to know each other and see ourselves in a good light.

The orc farmer stuffs another dumpling in his large mouth with his thumb while grabbing a honey cake with the other. He watches as Llelanni smears the peach preserves other the top and attempt to roll his up in the same way. The jelly oozes out the sides and onto his hands and plate. He looks to Elron.

Hmm..Slog work own puzzle now.

He laughs.

The orc woman's eyes look from Slog to Tarvis.

How close shaman have to be to summon skeletons?

Llelanni looks to Slog.

Slog, do you have some extra ball bearings I could use? I'd like to infuse them, create a way to locate each of us if one gets lost.

Slog looks confused at his fingers covered in jelly. In between licking his fingers he answers. the dark elf.

Slog ..made... lots. Will ...leave some ..here for you .tonight.

Bludgeon hides her smile behind a red and white checkered napkin. Her emerald eyes still sparking and cheeks flushed deep purple. She composes herself, clearing her throat in wait of Tarvis reply.

Ahem..

The orc woman nonchalantly places a napkin by Slog's plate.

The fairy rests her head in one hand, shivering, she lays back down pulling napkin tightly around her.

See ye when the sun cracks the stones.

Mouxsie falls almost instantly into a deep sleep.

Inside the warmly lit room of the general store, nestled on the edge of a deep, autumn forest, the six companions seem comfortably gathered around a well-worn counter top table. The tiny sleeping fairy is inconspicuous amidst the shadows, perhaps twitching occasionally at the edge of the table. Her gossamer wings shimmer slightly in the flickering firelight. The faintest hint of faerie light dances around her as she dreams, oblivious to the chill creeping in from the outside.
Across from her sits the orc fighter woman who no doubt has tales she could tell of her countless battles. Her steely gaze might flick towards the window, where the wind howls like a banshee, rattling the glass panes as if demanding entrance.

Beside her the orc man with a gentle disposition and the calloused hands of a farmer reveals a rare smile illuminating his rugged, clean shaven face as he enjoys the delights of a plate of oatmeal honey cakes. The warmth of the hearth might have offered some comfort, but it is hard to shake the feeling of unease that has slithered into the room with the evening's rain.

At the far end of the table, a human dealer of herbs who surely has at one time or another methodically mixed bits of dried plants into an herbal tincture might notice from the window view, the skies embroiled in a tempest. Thunder rolls over the treetops like the growl of a monster awakening from its slumber.

The human bard has undoubtably spun quite a tale or two about such a night as this. One might feel the uncomfortable shift in the atmospere, like the cadence of rainy symphony faltering with every crack of thunder echoing through the floorboards, reverberating through the party's bones. Hearts might race with apprehension as a torrent of rain begins to batter the roof like an angry beast.

Last at the table sits a dark elf woman whose sharp features and stark white hair contrast with the warmth of the lamp lit room. She rarely speaks, but her intense ruby eyes could be scanning the shadows as if waiting for something or someone to leap forth. The curling smoke from the hearth etches fleeting patterns against the wood plank walls, heightening the tension within the confines of the store.

The storm outside roars louder, an omen perhaps of nature's wrath, the wooden doors rattle under the weight of the storm’s windy fury. Suddenly, a crash from the roof, as if the skies have split open, and a shudder runs through the table. Conversation might fall silent. The flickering flames dance violently, casting long shadows that slip across the walls, twisting and morphing into shapes that could easily be mistaken for lurking figures.

Each companion might exchange wary glances, their camaraderie, once a fragile thread amidst the rising dread could actually become a catalyst for spontaneous care and concern. In that cold, dark autumn night, as the snow begins to swirl outside, it becomes clear that while they were sheltered from the storm, a different kind of darkness looms just beyond the doors, hungry and waiting for any sign of weakness.

Will they be brave enough to face it, or will the storm keep them from moving forward with their intended plans?

Tarvis smiles to the fairy, however is starting to be concerned for her health.

To answer the question posed by Bludgeon.
As I understand it to make one is hands on. However once made can be controlled from long distance away. The ones that attacked us could have been hidden and did not appear until we turned to leave. The command might have been issued years ago or ordered by magic with magic from any where in the city.

As MouXsie lays down to sleep , says softly

Rest well little one.

Elron enjoys the food and nods as Tarvis sets out his plan for the next day. After Lielanni talks about bearings for tokens as tracers.

Badges would be lighter, maybe cloth so not to be considered any type of treasure. I can provide that. A few options would be something sewed on clothing, or maybe better a wrist band. Both can be taken away or damaged, however so can the bearing.

As the weater breaks open, the men look to the women to see their reactions.

Mouxsie's tiny hand rests clenched on the edge of the napkin. She doesn't seem to take notice of the storm but she does seem to be aware of Tarvis. Her tiny fingers move a bit.

Bludgeon's green eyes turn from the window back to Tarvis.

Can we find where magic, it comes from?

Llelanni's attention is quickly moved from the apparitions in the firelight to Elron's remark.

Yes! Badges are much better suited for the tracking. It might be easier to lose bearings and that could be dangerous.

The dark elf chuckles while opening her waist belt bag to dig around for her sewing kit.

Looking quite satisfied, Slog pushes his empty plate away. He points to a small burlap sack he left last time he had supper.

Slog left some bearings here last time. If you need them.

The orc man stands up to look out the window.
The rain having given place to snow, has him concerned for the animals.

Slog check on boar and moose. Elon, Bess safe tonight? Stable good? Need blankets?

The orc woman pushes away from the table to grab a bear pelt from her supplies and cover Slog's shoulders. With concern in her eyes and a deep grunt, she takes up a torch and sets it alight from the fire, passing it into his big green hand.
With a wide deep grin on his face, Slog grabs the torch and the handle of the door.
Force from the winds blow the doors wide open, lobbing bits of packed snow into the room.

Tarvis listens and glances to each in the room. Smiles at Elron's mention of badges something that has been used in the past. Glad to see the idea receive some approval already. Answers Bludgeon's question.

There are ways of magic finding magic, even some scrolls of magic can do that.
However there are ways of magic being hidden from being found. Elron might be able to find it, as might Lady Lielanni or MouXsie. I am sure they will all try to find as much as they can.

As Slog opens the door Tarvis looks.

Slog maybe Elron should go with you and get what ever Bess needs.

Elron nods and steps toward the soor.

Xas that is a good Idea. Lady Lielanni I can make badges if you wish and have them ready in the morning. I plan to rest with Bess tonight in the post.

As Elron and Slog depart to inspect the animals, the dark elf waves to Elron and tucks her sewing kit back in her bag.

Great! Can hardly wait to see them! Good night all!

She positions a couple of bales of hay for sleeping. Bludgeon clears the table then brings out a few deer pelts for Tarvis and Llelanni. As she places them on the bales, the orc woman turns to Tarvis with a look of concern.

What Tarvis think about storm? Will it hold back plans?

Llelanni falls asleep while holding her tome, not long after lying down on her hay bale.

Outside Slog plods his way through the deepening snow in search of the boar. He does not find them so he moves on to the south field in search of the moose. The orc man pulls the bear fur tighter over his shoulders. While following Elron to the courier post, he spots the boar curled up together by the forge, under the hill. Slog's voice can't be heard in the snow storm winds so he motions to Elron that he will go with him to the post. Slog grabs a few logs for Elron's wood burning stove and follows behind the bard. Inside the stalls are Bess in her own stall. In the other is the moose. The orc drops the firewood near the stalls post entrance and laughs.

Moose and boar ok! Slog go now. Elron need anything?

Tarvis looks to Bludgeon to answer.

The storm will make things interesting, however I think we should continue as planned. If we start to wait for the right day to travel we might not move for a week. Might even end waiting for spring.

The leader can never second guess or appear uncertain.

We must not let something like weather to change our plans to make the land safer.

Especially if that force is controlling the weather to stop or slow us. We lose already if that is the case as well as a sign that the foe does not seek direct battle that we can win or at least do much damage.

We just will have to expect colder temperatures and more snow on the ground, unless it clears and warms soon. Dress and plan for going though a storm. Rest well tonight. Thank you for the pelts for our beds.

Tarvis lies down to rest.

Elron walking with Slog wonders some about the storm and after Slog joins him in the post.

Interesting friend Bess has found. Thank you for the wood, Bess and I have all we need for the night. Where are you spending this eve? The storm hints of magic in the area. It might not be safe to be alone. You could stay here.

Walks to Bess to make sure she has oats and is warm enough, then takes up the wood and starts the fire in the stove, with a word and wave of a hand the fire is started.

I can offer you a drink while you decide to stay or go. I have some badges to make.

THE POST

Slog peeks out the window. He has to move quite close to get a glimpse of the storm as the fire light is reflecting in the glass panes.

Slog help Elron make badges.

The big green mountain of an orc man turns around. His red eyes look to what the bard is doing. With a bit of uncertainty and hesitation, he eventually speaks again.

Slog made strong armor for Bludgeon. Can Elron make it reflect magic? Slog have some silver for payment.

THE GRAB, ROOT, & GROWL

The orc woman nods slowly in agreement. As she turns to take rest in her room, she responds, looking to Tarvis.

You are right. Tarvis make strong leader.

With a satisfied grunt, she closes the door to her room behind her.

As Tarvis lay down to sleep, a circular window appears with distorted visions inside. A leprechaun about half the size of Tarvis, wearing leaf green leather attire and carrying a long clay pipe steps into the room. His strange green eyes twinkle under locks of flame red hair. His expression is somber and serious as he looks about the room.

Where might I find me wee dote?

The smoke from his pipe curls up over his hat into a series of rings.

Elron offers a bottle of wine to Slog.

The badges will be made with cloth. I am still considering if an arm band might be better.. For the fairy it would be a necklace. As to armor if it is crafted well I could add some protective magic to deflect, so protect. However it takes time to make such magic last for long time. Short term is easy, but lasts a short time sometimes just one battle. Then at least a day before can be done again.

Thinking displacement magic or shielding magic, his spell knowledge is not as wide as a wizard who can do greater things with armor.

I would need to see it to be able to know for sure what I can do. I can not do great magic with dhields, just small magic some times.

Walks over to the desk and starts to do some work with cloth.

Slog opens the bottle. The fragrance is intriguing. The orc man stands looking over Elron's shoulder at the desk.

Slog think...is good to wait. Storm bad. Slog protect Bludgeon. Magic just extra, no time.

Slog takes a swig from the bottle and hands it back to Elron. The orc farmer observes the cloth and Elron's handy work.

THE GRG

No sooner had the leprechaun spoke, his pointed ears caught a short breath from the counter top. The creature spies a wriggling napkin and reaches to open it.

Begorra! Tis me wee culchie hiding among the threads?

Mouxsie's father looks at his tiny daughter's pale colour. Her frail body is limp, almost lifeless. He sets his pipe down and takes up the little fairy in his rugged reddish hands.

Tch, tch...Mammy sends her love.

The leprechaun father pulls a piece of Feywild fruit from his breast pocket to feed his fairy daughter. Her tiny eyes open as the sweet aroma of rosebud melon grasps her attention, rousing her from the deep sleep. After eating the morsel, her health quickly improves. She sits in her father's hand, her tiny legs swinging.

Uh, I know what you're gonna say, Da. I have to go home now, isn't it?

The leprechaun takes a deep breath and sighs a long sigh, tracing his stubby finger along her wing. His mischievous eyes dance about in his head, looking around the room.

You should prolly tell your friends. Not a nice thing to make Da look like a tief, whisking you away without a word to the lads.

Mouxsie's tiny feet patter along the counter as she runs to find Tarvis. Her wings carry her down to land on the human man's shoulder.

Me Laddine, Puca' will come in the morning bright an early to take the orcs on. I hate to leave but Feywild is calling, it for me own sake to return when I'm better.

Her father takes up his smoldering clay pipe to his teeth and draws the magic circle to open the portal.

Slog takes the wine bottle back and sips some wine from it. Then places it on the desk in easy each of both.

I am sorry that I am not a great wizard that could do something quick for you. My magic is just tricks compared to what great things they can do. I could tell you a tale of one while I work on these badges for the party. Would you like to hear it?

Elron smooths out a piece of cloth then marks off on one edge sections. .

For all is it has come
a task has to be done.
A gather to answer a need,
six pledge to do the deed.

An aura of magic covers and melts into the cloth.

THE GRG

Was awake when the father had appeared , however stayed silent. However when Mouxsie comes over to tell him she is leaving says softly as to try not to wake Lielanni.

I thank you sir for coming I was concerned that she needed you. Mouxsie I thank you for Puca in the morning. I thank you for all you have done for us. I will hope to see you well again as soon as you wish. Fare well.

Sir I thank you as well for your kindness .

Slog think great wizard would be great trouble. Yes, Slog want to hear great bard story!

The orc leans down watching the aura of magic seep into the cloth. His coal black eyebrows raise in amazement.

The dark elf also hears the mello voices of the feywild creatures as well as Tarvis speaking. She smiles her secret smile, turning her head away and drifting back into slumber.

Mouxsie pats Tarvis nose with her tiny hand.

I'll be back before ye even noticed I was gone!

And with that said, the two magical beings pass through the open portal where strange colors and a wide variety of plants can be seen within. The portal quickly closes.

Elron continues to work while he relates in sing song voice the tale of the blue wizard that faced a great red dragon. A tale of magic duels and shape shifting forms as they battled each other. As her talked of spells they casr at each other sometimes his hands spark or glow as he works the cloth. The tale continues about how places though choose to rest were sought and found by the other as magic duels included those of search and find and the magics that tried to hide as well. For times one might want the Dragon to win and sometimes the Wizard because of how the other acted. As the battle goes in time the end had to come and for these two they both win by killing their foe. The Wizard with a killing bolt the Dragon last dying attack crushing the Wizard with its dying body. As the story ends sitting on the desk are six wroven braclets, each with a gemstone .

Takes a sip of wine and smiles to Slog.

Here you can have this one.

Hands one to Slog as he picks up another to put on his wrist.

Tarvis rests to sleep for the coming morning.
