Heck of a thing the way time moves. The fence plan behind schedule.
Well boots you clearly work today
Returns at the high speed the boots provide him and stops running when standing in frount of the store. Taking a look about to the boar, mill and the field to see what has been done.

Doesnt appear as anything has been done or for that matter has changed, except perhaps sunrise is lighting up the skyline, everthing is as it was left.

Re: Silent Slough
The fairy stirs, stretching and yawning.
She looks a little frazzled but happy to see Tarvis and be alive.
Are we there yet, mate?!
Inside the GG&G Llelanni is still reading over her book, Bludgeon looks over her shoulder perhaps looking for pictures of the creature, and Slog is standing silently watching until the door opens. He looks to Tarvis.
Wait! Slog go too!

Well that might explain some, by not all. Should have took the knife maybe as proof. Likely cursed somehow.
We are at the store, what do you remember.
Looks to Slog,
I would need to know how fast you can travel. My boots let me travel very fast. Also a scout likes leaving the strength at base. You are that strength.

Re: Silent Slough
Mouxsie looks around the store then back to Tarvis.
Well, it was a long run but we made it to the ruins. It's definitely haunted and we fought off those orc Skeletons. Lost me prize dire wolf in the battle. Glad we're home safe.
The orcs and Llelanni look at each other then back to Mouxsie, all seem confused after hearing her account.
The dark elf closes her book.
You both haven't even left yet. It's still morning, the sun just rose.
Bludgeon and Slog's eyes meet as if they might know something. The orc farmer speaks.
Slog notice time change before, too. The courtyard is a necropolis. Strange place, fog most times there. Slog not a cleric but can fight, though, don't know what it is we fight.
Bludgeon considers the fairy's story.
We should all go back together.

Considers how to reply..
I am sorry for the loss of your dire wolf. I became concerned about you as well.
Looks to the others.
I am not sure there is good enough reason to return there. As long as it stays there it is of no danger to us. Form what we did see in our scouting there is nothing of value. Not to be found quick.

Re: Grab, Root, & Growl
Though grateful and thankful, the fairy places her hand on Tarvis finger and looks upward to him with visage of confusion.
Sorry?! Are you saying what can't be cured must be endured, me laddine?!
No one misses the water til the well runs dry. Even if the place has more corners than a bag o turf we gotta do something before it becomes an even bigger problem. After all, it knows were here now. What's to stop it from troubling us later or even here?
Bludgeon stands with a grunt of approval, looking at Mouxsie then to Tarvis.
Bludgeon have reason, clear clan name. That is very valuable to Red Eye Clan.
The orc farmer rubs his chin, covered in beard.
He marvels at this orcan woman. She makes him feel proud to be orc again. His red eyes turn to Tarvis.
Slog want to help. It ruin Bludgeon clan name, kill fairy dog. What say you, Friend?
Llelanni considers to be a voice of reason, having compassion for the fairy's and orc woman's emotions and respect for Tarvis opinion, she also considers some preparation should be important first.
Ok. We have a head start with Sir Tarvis and Mouxsie scouting the place. We know the type of things we need to look out for and we have an idea of the layout.
The dark elven woman looks to Tavis.
If we decide to do this, what shall we do to prepare for the next visit to the ruins and how can we best protect ourselves once inside?
All eyes turn to Tarvis.

Re: Silent Slough
Off to war without the troops, the best way to die for honor.
Looks at the group. Two fighters, two spell casters, one of which can also fight. Not much of an army to work with.
Mouxsie, What I am saying that until can cure, it is better to stay away. That is a place that once attacked, must be defeated. Remember all we faced were some guards that did not want us to leave. We lost one in that battle. The battle to defeat would be things worst than guards. The fire balls and rock falls you did not see that was also part of the defenses.
Looks to the others. Clearly committed to go.
Well if we all go I would think the boar would need to be set free. We can not count on time shift to be away as long as the first visit. I would plan for at least a week of searching time. That would mean having enough food for a week. Weapons that will last a week. Arrows or stones if you have bow or sling. Supplies need for spells as well if needed. Any protections from undead should be useful. Any thing to kill them better.
Tries to think of other things to say.
Will there might be a few things of value that might help. I did see a small wanting to redeem clan name depends on what found.knife that appeared to look useful. I did not take it to demonstrate to the presences there that we were not there for loot.
After attacking us, Mouxsie has right to claim payment. Slog might be owed payment as well from his first visit. Bludgeon finding spmething to redeem your clan might be well guarded. Maybe under lock or trap. Tools to deal with them could be handy
Offers Mouxsie a stawberry and a roll.
What we really need is a Priest or Paladin. A Wizard and a trap master. Lady Llelanni I do not discount your ability. Just it would be good to have one more skilled/
We however need to plan on what we have or can get quick.

Re: Silent Slough
Mouxsie tucks the strawberry under her arm and has a nibble at the roll.
The dark elven woman claps her hands together with a smile.
Then its settled. I'll put on the kettle for more tea, gather some ingredients, and finish gleening information from my book.
Humming, she walks out the back door to fetch water for the kettle.
The orc farmer's face also has a smile, somewhat mischievous in nature.
Slog check personal weapon supply and dump more oats for boar. Will open gate to free them before we go.
The orc woman has a good long look around at her shop.
Bludgeon will gather dried food and supplies.
She opens the front door to put up her "GONE FISHING" sign over the windows.
Laddine, sure, no worries. I work on another familiar.
The little fairy smiles, still nibbling at the roll in one handfull, her other hand starts tinkering with her clover harp pendant.

Re: Silent Slough
Considers what he has. A trader does need to fight a few times, but not trained for this at all. The few gifts of magic are for travel more than combat. The boots for running, the cloak protects mostly from weather, the kitchen provides food. Portal indicator. Herb lore might help some, but nothing right now comes to mind. Sling and stone might help, that and maybe staff. As some undead not safe to touch, also can break bones better then sword.. Sits and pulls off his back pack off to study what is in there he might use.
Looks up at the others.
I think I should find some nice stones.
Pulls out a sling

Re: Silent Slough
Slog inquires of Tarvis.
Slog make Tarvis ball bearings, some with spikes?
The orc man's grin is deep.
Slog used in combat many ways. To trip, to rip, and make nice explosives.
Slog thinks back to his glory days with the hoarde and all the different types of warfare used.
Shaman use spells on bearings to Locate enemy, to Catapult, many things. Tarvis strong, smart, and brave, can do much with this.
Slog points to his head.
He then looks off up to the ceiling and rafters while in deep thought. With a chuckle he says,
Rubber balls fun too!

Re: Silent Slough
Slog looks to you
That could be useful, but you do know they might get used once then gone? It depends on the battles, on the mountain or in the tunnels they could quickly become lost instead of found and reused. That is why stones are better, most places new stones can be found to replace lost ones.
Looks up to the rest.
Unless you all have fast way to travel, it will take half a day to walk down there during daylight. . So either we go this afternoon and enter at night, camp at edge and enter in morning or go tomorrow and enter about noon. How long to get ready is part of decision as we should not leave before we are ready to leave here.
Maybe never to return, though even at worst likely one or two could escape. The fairy should have a good chance though she did not make with the last trip. That though also was because of her protecting me. The biggest question in mind is how do they hope to free a hunted city, reclaim a clan name or achieve their goals? Well leader with no plan for success will lead them to victory or die trying.
I will want a staff. Lady Bludgeon do you have one along your weapons?

Re: Silent Slough
Slog places his big green hand on the front door knob and looks to Tarvis, shruggs.
Could use magnet, Slog make many if you wish, but that your call, Friend.
Mouxsie speaks up at the mention of walking to the ruins.
Sure, will call me Púca to carry the orcs. Uh, but not at night.
Bludgeon raises a black eyebrow at the mention of the Púca. She then offers Tarvis a choice of three staffs. A standard bo staff with bronze ends, a standard quarterstaff, and a Quarterstaff of Bird Calls.
Llelanni is still out back. While drawing water at the pump, a low bellow and rattling branches catches the dark elven woman's attention. Leaving the water running, she walks into the wooded swamp in search of the noise. She finds a moose with one of its antlers stuck in a tree and the other broken. She moves in closer to have a look. The moose shakes his head violently, causing the antlers to cast. Llelanni marvels at this sight. The moose just looks at her as if it could laugh. They talk for a bit, walking back to the store. She leads the moose to the water for a drink and a chat.

Slog nods
My friend they will be useful, I was just wanted to make you understood they could be lost in battle. I will gladly take what you have or can make before we go to search that place.
Walks over to the staffs Bludgeon offers and hefts them, not having any use for bird calls, takes the unadorned quarterstaff out of the three offered.
This should serve will as a weapon and at times a pole to test for traps.
I think I should check on the elf. Help with the tea and gather some stones.
A thing just occurring to him the small chance of the city chased after him, non should be alone.
Walks outside the store to look for Llelanni.
