The leprechaun takes up his shillelagh under his arm and returns to the form of an orb of green fairy light. The fairy shrinks back to her tiny size, watching her father join a group of fireflies to float away, blinking into the night.

As Slog and Tarvis are approaching the doors of the store, Llelanni goes out back to fetch the kettle. She finds Mouxsie asleep on the green moss covering the boulder. For the dark elf woman, the swamp is a mysterious place. The echos of animal voices amplified across the water and through the trees is strange. She hears owls not far away, speaking with each other in search of food. Llelanni gently scoops up the fairy to bring her out of any possible danger. She sets sleepy Mouxsie on the counter top inside, covering her with a red and white checkered, cloth napkin.

Bludgeon is serving up more bowls of thick stewed boar with spicy potatoes sunken into the bottom. The water is ready, poured over for ginger and lemongrass, creating a refreshing blend of tea.

Llelanni pours water in the cups and yawns, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. Both the women have disheveled hair, tired expressions, resting their heads on their hands as they stir their bowls of food to blend the heated parts with the not so well heated. They barely move, staying well seated, down to eat, saying nothing but enjoying the warm meal.

Slog seems to have caught a second wind. He sees water for washing, food ready to eat, thinks about a job well done, friends, and a quiet evening by the fire after a good meal.

The orc farmer pauses to have a good think while washing his large green/grey calloused hands.
Maybe put new fields southeast near back of deserted homestead. Tarvis, what say you?
He steps aside to wait on Tarvis.

After Slog stands aside, washes his hands and considers the plan..

That would be a good location. Close and it looks easy to fence.

Enters the store to eat and sees the rest and how tired they appear. Silently takes the food and eats.

The orc woman wants to say something but seems to have completely forgot what she intended to say. At any rate, Bludgeon yawns, looking out the window behind the counter. The moon is large, hanging in the sky, over the trees like a golden medallion.
She is soon joined by Llelanni who is holding a handtowel and ready to collect dishes for washing. The two women go out the back doors where the haunting, low and gentle hoots of the neighborhood owls signal all is well.

Stretching and yawning, the little fairy awakens. She sees Slog and Tarvis eating. She takes on the size of a small toddler and sits close by the fire. She looks to Tarvis.
Me laddine, I dunno how to break the news to Bludgeon. Me father says I'm free from the geis now.
She takes a stick up, poking at the flames.
I can still help here and do be wantin' to find her some lipstick.
Up close, her sad eyes are larger than a human baby, almond shaped. They are more of a hazel colour tonight, between forestwood brown and bogland green.
You wouldn't happen to have a sweet roll left over for a wee culchie, would ya?

Slog's red eyes glance over to the little fairy. He listens while quietly, rising up to see if there is more food left in the pot on the fire and scooping out another bowl full.

Looks at Mouxsie and smiles, reaches to his backpack and pulls out a few sweet rolls. Hands one to her.

Enjoy little one, have a freedom celebration.

The roll is fresh as all they others were. Places the rest on the counter he was eating at.

Slog have one if you want..

Mouxsie we can still make lipstick. The only thing that has changed is when you are sold to me is I do not have to find out how to set you free of the geis. There again her price might decrease, it in part might depend if she believes she has been repaid. We will see.

The gleeful fairy, with the delectible sweet and aromatic pastry in hand, smells it, closing her eyes with a smile. She pulls a piece, flakey and soft as eiderdown, Mouxsie pops it into her mouth.
Mmm...

Slog lifts a hairy eyebrow. His large hand slowly reaches for a sweet roll with a slight chuckle hiding under his breath. He remembers they are indeed very tasty. He sips his tea, licking his fingers after swallowing the sweet roll whole.

Llelanni and Bludgeon return with tired faces but genuine smiles. Bludgeon refills their mugs with more tea while the dark elf puts away their dishes. To their delight, Tarvis' sweet rolls gleam in the firelight, dazzling every eye from the counter top.

Llelanni looks to Tarvis.

So, do you have a secret recipe or just know how to preserve freshly baked goodness perpetually?

Smiles as the fairy and Slog enjoy the rolls.

Sips some of the tea poured for him.

As Llelanni asks about the rolls.

They are made each day in my kitchen, the kitchen was a gift, it is small and limited in what it can make.

Sips some more tea.

I will plant seeds this eve to start the weed. After a good start on that will plan a search for salt. The temple might give a lead.

The fairy had been lounging on one of the straw bales. She sits up quickly, holding half her sweet roll.
We're going on an adventure!

The dark elven woman cocks her head, pondering a kitchen of holding.

Mouxsie takes notice of Llelanni looking like a confused pup.

Ah here, you'll never plow a field by turning it over in yer mind.

Llelanni didn't realize she was so transparent. She snaps out of it, looking back to Tarvis.

Shall I accompany you, Sir Tarvis, to start the growth spells?

Slog rubs one red eye.
Slog need sleep, go now.
The orc farmer opens the front door, stepping out to leave.

Mouxsie right now only talking about planing the adventure

is Tarvis's answer to the fairy.,

turns to Llelanni and answers her.

Well the seeds will not have much room to grow, however if the magic grows them a few weeks they will sooner be ready to transplant. They need to have good enough roots and harder enough to be planted in cold conditions, If your magic is delicate enough yes it will help.

The door closes behind Slog. He walks home to his shed feeling good about the future.

Mouxsie, still holding the remnants of the sweet roll, turns back to face the bright fire in the hearth, giggling and mumbling.
Yea, hope you make more sweet rolls.

The dark elven woman begins to readying her spells.

Bludgeon peeks out into the common room from her bedroom door.

Tired, I sleep now. See in morning.
She closes the door behind her.

Walks to the pails and starts to set the seeds in the soil


There will be enough rolls for you when you want them. Maybe you want to work on the lipstick now. I told you how and can watch over if you have a problem. It will not take long to plant the seeds. Then we can see how well they do with the magic.

Continues to work the soil and plant the seeds until all four buckets are completed.

Now add water and a little magic and see what we get.

He steps over to some room temperature water and adds some to each bucket.

Turns to see how the others are doing, he was focused on his task and was talking to what was current concern.

Thinking back to the last conversation Mouxsie can remember she and Tarvis had concerning the making of lipstick...

Well two pots one smaller than the other, water, a fire and lipstick cases for the mixture. As for scent some will cook out and I should be able to reduce the rest if needed. The process is bringing the items together in the correct ratio, blended. Then poured and allowed to cool and harden. When one substitutes sometimes the ratios need to change. The candle though likely made from bees, if from another source might require adjustments.

Well, not a chemist but maybe it's wont be as hard as it sounds.

With a wiling attitude, the fairy looks around the shop. She finds a beeswax candle, the two pots, and fresh water from what is left in the kettle.

Hey Elf, you still have that lipstick case?

Llelanni feels around in her robe pockets for the empty lipstick case.

Here you go. Not only do I have the case, I ground up a little garnet I found in the Underdark. That should give extra glimmer for the occasion. Also, I have a little bottle of rose oil I've been saving to make a healing salve. Maybe these will help as well.

There is still lipstick remaining inside the tube.
Mouxsie begins heating up the ingredients. Llelanni begins to release her spells into action. The seeds open beneath the soil. Sprouts slowly begin to rise, little leaves on top of the stems open.

Watches both the candle making and looks to the pails occasionally . Sees Mouxsie melt the wax and add the oil and fat. The gather of the case as well a nice touch. Of course the concern is to blend the mixture without boiling the mix and now the delicate time to work on the tinting of the batch. The rose oil can help with the tint and also balance the fat.

With a herb ready as needed stands as assistant to the fairy with words to guide the process until the nix is blended and now time to cool.

Now we wait until it is cooler to be able to put it in the case. .

The fairy inquires,
Will we should stick it outside in the snow to cool faster, me laddine?

Llelanni giggles.
Not unless you want an icicle lipstick!

Nay little one, as Llelanni says it would freeze. That would have been as bad as boiling. We need it warm to handle and form to place in the case. Then air dry and cooled to room temperature.

As he was speaking the mix cooled enough and with cleaned hands shapes and restores the lipstick. The remaining mix he makes into another lipstick case that he finds in his backpack.

He looks over the plants and smiles.

All looks well, short of maybe planing the adventure all the work is done this day. You all can rest if you need to
