When you want to ask out of character questions, discuss plots, talk about roleplaying or simply present your character’s bio, this is the place to do so. In my exhaustive search for a way to convey the images in my head, I've turned to ai. In a perfect world, I would love to have a personal artist depict the images I want to express. Unfortunately we live in times where it is not always possible or affordable.
I found a free online ai generator and began my journey. It's not as easy as one might think, trying to explain every detail for artificial intelligence to be able to understand.
For instance, something as simple as a waterwheel or mill. Ai could not make connections that humans can. The wheel belongs in water, not on the side of a shed, above ground, or in a field next to the mill.
Sometimes when generating a character it gives them horns, too many hands, heads, or fingers. This can feel creepy and down right scarey, especially when the faces dont come out normal. The fact of the matter is, ai is thankfully not human. But it is a handy artistic tool once getting the hang of it.
I've spent many hours trying to get the perfect image. The images are free, no copyright and completely visible to the whole of netizen communities.
I have also used the ai chat to help solve many issues I've had with character profiles from over the years. How to express certain characteristics or enhance the way I want them to behave? It helps, but the creation is still and will always be mine.
Each day I plan to drop a pic for comment.
So, without further ado, here is a pic for today.
In this image, I wanted to create a visual of a bogland map on a scroll on a table top in a store with bay windows
It created a lovely visual but I was not able to alter the map for an adventuring party and I was not sure how to describe to ai what I wanted to show in the map.
Perhaps it could not disconnect bog plant life from the map.

Loved this one for Slog's shack and mill but my logical mind could not accept the weird movement of the water through the spokes of the mill wheel. It just looks strange.

Just can't rationalize someone weilding a sword this way, not even in a dance.
I do realize these pics don't enhance well under magnification. Guess sometimes a sacrifice is required.

Really like the pink belly dancer style outfit. Unfortunately it didn't seem right for this character who will prolly not be played anytime soon but she was fun to create.

This fella has six digits. Being a bit of a perfectionist, I just couldn't get past that and opted not to use this one for rp visual. But he does look quite lively.

These were intended for past characterizations for Ssin'urn Streea's House members, the scorpion being her house mascot/symbol. The eyes are not vivid, kind of creepy rather than intimidating for a drow.
Perhaps someday she will tell her story, right Ssin?
