Image Drathiranon
Lyric Weaver/Bard

Appearance

Charcoal skin, lilac eyes that give her an ethereal quality that captivates those who meet her gaze. Long white hair that flows along her back, sometimes adorned with silver threads or small charms. She wears a long sheer grey-silver dress that shimmers subtly, as if woven with strands of moonlight. The fabric allows freedom of movement, ideal for both dancing and combat. Often seen with a crescent moon pendant, a symbol of her devotion to Eilistraee, and her ears are adorned with delicate earrings shaped like tiny musical notes.

Background

Drathiranon was born into a prominent drow house in the Underdark, known for its allegiance to Eilistraee. Unlike most drow, who live by the harsh and ruthless laws of their society, Drathiranon always felt a connection to the surface world. From a young age, she was enchanted by tales of the sun, the stars, and the beauty of nature.
After a pivotal moment of defiance, where she refused to participate in a sacrificial rite prescribed by her house in honor of Lolth, she decided to depart for the surface, seeking the light and freedom her goddess represented.

Personality

Compassionate, curious, and insightful, Drathiranon embodies the ideals of Eilistraee. She values freedom and the beauty of all life forms, often using her music to bring joy and foster understanding between different races. Despite her generally positive view of the surface world, like all drow rising to the lands of light, she grapples with the prejudices and suspicions that many surface dwellers have against drow. She remains cautious about revealing her true lineage to avoid persecution.
She believes in redemption and is willing to help those in need, even if they come from backgrounds that traditionally oppose the drow.

Skills & Abilities
Drathiranon possesses a talent for divine magic, drawing upon Eilistraee’s blessings, which allows her to heal and protect others. Her abilities might include spells that create light, charm others, or enhance her dance, empowering her allies.

While she may prefer diplomacy and music, she is trained in the use of a rapier, favoring speed and agility over brute strength. Her fighting style is fluid, almost dance-like, reflecting her artistic spirit.

Drathiranon is an accomplished musician and dancer. Her performances with her silver lute can captivate audiences, inspiring bravery and camaraderie.
She wishes to reshape the perception of drow among the surface races by showcasing the beauty and grace of her goddess’ followers.
Ultimately, she longs to find a true home among the surface dwellers, to create a sanctuary where those who feel lost or cursed like her can find acceptance.
She also harbors a personal mission to locate and reclaim ancient artifacts associated with Eilistraee, believing they hold the power to strengthen her cause and bless her people.

Relationships
Drathiranon may have befriended individuals from various races, each with their own backgrounds and stories. Perhaps there’s a specific human, elf, or even halfling bard with whom she shares a close bond.
As she gains notoriety for her beliefs and performances, she may face backlash from those within the Underdark who see her as a traitor or from surface factions that harbor anti-drow sentiments.
Her loyal constant companion is Lyrael.

Mourning Dove
Companion

Lyrael is a beautiful, soft gray-brown dove with delicate feathers that shimmer subtly in the light. Her eyes are gentle and expressive, and she has a distinctive long tail with white edges that adds to her graceful silhouette. Personality
Lyrael is gentle, nurturing. She has a calm demeanor, always observing her surroundings with a watchful eye. Lirael is fiercely loyal to Drathiranon, offering companionship in both joyous and challenging moments. With a natural curiosity, she enjoys exploring new environments but always returns to Drathiranon’s side.

Song of Comfort
Lyrael can emit a soothing cooing sound that provides comfort to those around her, acting as a calming presence in tense situations.

Messenger of Hope
Lyrael can fly long distances to deliver messages, whether it be to friends or allies, carrying hope and creating connection.

Sky Scout
Being an adept flier, Lyrael can scout areas from the sky, alerting Drathiranon to potential dangers or interesting sights below.

Backstory
Lyrael came into Drathiranon’s life during one of her performances under the moonlight. Attracted by the music, the dove landed nearby, and their bond formed almost instantly. Recognizing Lyrael as a symbol of hope and new beginnings, Drathiranon adopted her as a companion. Since then, Lyrael has accompanied Drathiranon on her travels, serving as a reminder of the beauty of life and the power of love and healing.

Lyrael often perches on Drathiranon's shoulder during performances, adding a charming visual element to her acts. They share a special routine where Drathiranon sings softly, and Lyrael coos in harmony, creating a mesmerizing duet that captivates their audience. Lyrael's presence not only enhances Drathiranon's performances but also serves as a source of inspiration and strength for her as she navigates the challenges of her journey.

Bludgeon of Red Eye Clan

Race

Orc

Age

28 (young for an orc, but seasoned in her experiences)

Grey skin. Long black hair adorned with silver bands; typically worn in an intricate updo. She takes pride in her personal appearance wearing decorative hair bands and occasional jewelry She is very fond of hot pink lipstick as she thinks it accentuates her features.
Her clothing is basically two types. In winter she wears a stunning fur robe paired with fuzzy fur slippers for warmth and comfort.
In summer she wears a fitted leather armored dress that allows her mobility and protection while working in her shop.

Background

Formerly of the Red Eye Clan, she has earned her place as a solitary figure in the Silent Slough.
Bludgeon grew up hearing tales of her ancestors, particularly how the Red Eye Clan was once thriving before internal conflict and greed dismantled it. The tragic stories of the brothers who took the clan's women linger in her memory. She fled from the Red Eye Clan to avoid the bitter infighting and desire for power, seeking a life free from competition and hostility.

Location

The Silent Slough, a once sacred and thriving land turned into a haunting grave of bones and memories, now considered taboo by other orcs.
Blessed and watched over by Eilistraee, she finds solace and protection in the very land that others fear.

Occupation
Store Owner

Image
She owns the "Grab, Root, and Growl," the only general store in the area, known for its assortment of farming tools, hardware, food supplies, and spirits. The store acts as a refuge for travelers and a means of income for Bludgeon.

Personality

Always found cleaning, preparing, or maintaining her store; takes pride in her work. She loves to mop, a lot. Cleanliness is very important to her.
Bludgeon has experienced years of hardship but remains strong and determined. Silent Slough seems the perfect place for her to hone more skills, especially fishing.
Despite her past, she tries to be kind to the few visitors she gets, understanding their plight in a way they might not realize. To her, work is the answer to everything.
She often reflects on her upbringing within the clan, contemplating the murder of her parents and the competition and strife she escaped. At times she is afraid that her past with the Red Eye Clan might catch up with her or that her history would dissuade potential friends or allies.

Goals

She seeks a simple, peaceful life away from the clan struggles, also wanting to keep the Silent Slough untarnished and perhaps even uncover its true history to honor her ancestors. While she enjoys solitude, she is secretly hopeful that her store can foster a sense of community among the rare visitors she receives. She enjoys creating elaborate stews and often experiments with spices and ingredients. Perhaps some day she might find more from the surrounding peatlands. Regularly painting her fingernails, considering it a small luxury that helps her feel civilized amid the wildness of her heritage and surroundings, she would most likely like to collect more selections of this and other accessories.

The mill provides not just for himself but also creates an opportunity for the local wildlife and the occasional visitor in need of grain.
Despite his solitary existence, Slog remains quietly observant of his surroundings and longs for companionship, particularly intrigued by the sight of another orc woman, although his shyness keeps him from approaching her. He is content in his daily chores, yet dreams of one day finding someone to share his life with, amidst the whispers of the swamp.

Re: Llelanni - Salvaged of Eilistraee

Post by Drathiranon »

Image Llelanni

House Del’armgo

Race Drow (Dark Elf)

Appearance

Llelanni has long wavy white hair, ruby coloured eyes, and wears a pale green healer’s robe. She appeared in the Silent Slough several days later after drifting miles away from riding down a waterfall. She has a small row boat and carries a macuahuitl, a wooden sword that at first sight looks like an oar yet with a turn of the handle, reveals several embedded, prismatic obsidian blades from its sides that are capable of cleanly removing a horse's head.

Background

Her family hailed from Tlethtyrr, a mountainous tropical island in the Underdark, surrounded by a sea of acid. Once a noble house of the drow, House Del'armgo met its demise at the hands of rival houses resulting in the extermination of its members. None of the Noble line were permitted to live and all males were sacrificed to Lloth. Llelanni was a child kidnapped and imprisoned by a faction in hiding that sought to protect her identity as the last surviving member of her house. In reality, perhaps only to blackmail any survivors of the noble line or simply a bargaining chip for future use to protect themselves. Llelanni faces the psychological impacts of her past imprisonment, which can lead to moments of vulnerability as she navigates new social dynamics and learns to build trust with others.

Salvaged of Eilistraee

Eventually, she was able to escape from the Underdark, fleeing from a society that valued cruelty and treachery. After making her way to the surface with the help of Eilistraee, Llelanni has begun to recognize the goddess’ handiwork that created a means for her to grow in a new light. Guided by Eilistraee’s subtle persuasions, Llelanni feels a divine purpose in her life journey. Her understanding of beauty and harmony aligns with the goddess's teachings, resonating deeply with her often overwhelming sensory experiences. She is hoping to discover her own identity while also embracing the values of mercy, beauty, and nature.

Personality

Llelanni notices details that others might overlook. Despite her dark heritage, she is compassionate and yearns to use her thirst for knowledge to heal others. She will often ask others about their experiences, whether with nature or magic. Due to her sheltered upbringing in the Underdark, she is somewhat naive about the dangers of the surface. She can become deeply engrossed in her interests, particularly in healing practices and herbal remedies, often losing track of time when pursuing her passions.

Skills and Abilities

While she’s not a trained fighter, she can wield her macuahuitl for protection. The weapon can transform into an oar which is handy for navigating her row boat through the slough. Perhaps a moment of crisis could reveal more about its magical properties or a hidden connection to her journey.
She knows a few simple nature spells or healing spells that she practices but hasn’t mastered. Having recently taken an interest in botany as part of her healing aspirations, she knows how to identify certain plants and mushrooms, although her experience is limited.

Poisoned State

The poison, introduced as a means of control, lost that facet of effectiveness after leaving the Underdark. However it still holds a grip on her quality of life and longevity. This adds urgency to her quest, making her desperate but also deeply motivated. The knowledge that she must gain through collecting and growing the components will give her stability in her resolve. Perhaps it’s part of Eilistraee’s plan, to help Llelanni build herself up rather than totally become dependent on the goddess, without any personal growth. Llelanni aims not only to heal herself but also to help others afflicted by ailments, hoping to prove that she can rise above her imperfections.

Reclamation of Identity

By reconnecting with her heritage and using the symbol of House Del'amgo for good, she seeks to redefine who she is as a drow in the world.

Foreseeable Challenges

As she seeks out the remaining ingredients, encounters with other inhabitants of the slough can lead to unexpected friendships or conflicts.
She faces the challenge of finding the crab brittlegill mushrooms in the autumn season and planting lotus in time for summer blossoms, leading her to interact with the few solitary orcs living in the slough, testing her ability to build trust and camaraderie. Forming a close friendship with fellow inhabitants of the slough who may appreciate her insights and help her navigate social situations, teaching her how to express herself more comfortably.
She may encounter prejudice from those who see her as a dark elf, which can lead to internal conflicts as she battles her own self-doubt.
Llelanni might encounter difficulties in social interactions, particularly when faced with misunderstandings due to her unique way of perceiving the world. Llelanni grapples with the psychological impacts of her past, leading to moments of vulnerability as she learns to navigate new social dynamics.
She may struggle with overwhelming environments, seeking refuge in quieter, less stimulating areas where she can process her feelings and regain a sense of calm. Llelanni might encounter difficulties in social interactions, particularly when faced with misunderstandings due to her unique way of perceiving the world. She may experience moments of crisis in which she must confront overwhelming emotions or sensations, leading to a breakthrough in her journey as she learns to embrace her strengths while seeking support
