[quote="Rooky":30ub50hg]Are there any pole dancing drow women in those books of yours? I read three of them and never found one...[/quote:30ub50hg]
Well Ed has spoken of some Preistesses being exotic dancers, though did not mention a pole. Ed also complains from time to time how much was edited out of his first draft. That he often put in much so that at least a little slips though.
Ed has an interesting contract with WotC, he gets one novel a year or FR returns to him.

I just looked around the few 2nd Edition books I have; Those being Tome of Magic and Drow of the Underdark. On the back cover of the Drow of the Underdark and I quote " Did I ever tell thee how close I came to having a drow wife? No?Well then..."
These 2 books are the only ones I actually bought(long story don't wish to go into it right now) from 2nd edition(Let's just say I used to have most of the 2nd edition collection but am now divorced, so most of them ended up in the garbage including a 1st Edition PHB and DMG).

Wow, thanks for the great welcome everyone! It sure is friendly around here, just what I'd expect from the Chosen.
Shir'le: I've looked at spelljammer, albeit not for many years. I was briefly interested in it, but have since been drawn away to more purely sci-fi games. Many, many other games. I've had to stop buying new ones simply because I started having too many games I hadn't even had a chance to play, and several others that just keep going, or going back to. Some of them are fantasy-ish though, just not like D&D. Ones like the White Wolf games such as Vampire (the old one), Changeling, Demon, Bastet, and even Land of Eight Million Dreams.
Alas, the D&D game I was going to play my Eilistraee drow in has been forstalled by the rather unexpected closing of the game store where I work, and where the game was to be held. Many games get played there, from board and war games, to rpgs like D&D, and the one I run, Trinity. Now we need to work out a new time and place for the game (both in fact), not to mention a new place to work.

Ouch, that sucks. And I know how you feel... all too well. But I'm sure you'll find a new place to work and I think that, in the end, it'll all be for the better (even if that's perhaps hard to see now).
Best of luck finding a new job (and a new place to play your games). And if you're down perhaps we can help cheer you up.
