So, I asked this of one friend of mine, he still isn't certain:
You are offered the materials, schematics, tools and workforce required to build Megatron, but if you do, he will kill your family.
[i:1ugnawnd]Do you build Megatron?[/i:1ugnawnd]

[quote="Talwyn Aureliano":sy1q30fz]No
why build a robot that you know with 100% certainty that it will turn on you and kill your family?
You may as well save the time and kill them yourself :devil:[/quote:sy1q30fz]
The thing might bring about world peace, end hungry etc. Perhaps an overall good might be achieved with a little sacrifice. Besides it still might matter how much you love your family *wink*
Of course Megatron being the leader of the Decepticons likely would bring about World Peace by killing every human, which of course your end the hunger problem *EG*

Great idea Tal, and by the time the sixth year of your retirement ends, something huge and shiny shows up and blows you into oblivion. I'd say no, definitely no, unless I had also plans for building Optimus Prime and would do it either first or simultaneously.
A different matter is: if I have plans for building Megatron, I should have also plans for building an energy source able to sustain him for what is pretty much a couple thousand human lifespans. Having THAT knowledge (and the firearms plans) I'd build myself a lightsaber
or an environment friendly power plant and save the world. Blah, no, I'd stick to the lightsaber, or a giant mech, more like Megatron.
