when the last bits were done flying, the rogue lowered the cloth to see the solar enter. she was speechless to the petrified Neriah. if only she had taken in some of her training, then she might would have been of some use. hearing that his mother might be able to help her, she wondered about the kid. could it survive such a trauma? she had no words to say, her eyes indigo reflecting the sadness.

Cinder looked in Zarae's direction " how are you feeling ?? " she asked.
That last spell weakened you again didn't it. She called over Meldrinus and lead him to her. " Can you get up onto him?? Meldrinus got onto knees so she could easily lift herself onto his back.

"There has to be a way to call her, somehow..."

He looked around and spotted his sword. The weapon hadn't been so much as scratched by the explosion or its impact to the floor. She had given that weapon to him. Perhaps...?

He walked over to his sword, could feel it pulsing faintly as though welcoming him back. And a bit irritated at having been thrown.

"Sorry," Adian said as he picked it up. "Veraka's mother...the one who gave you to me...can you call her? We sort of need her right now..."

Veraka continued to have hot tears stream down from his cheeks as he continued to look at Neriah's stone face. He continued to feel as if his whole world had crashed in around him.

From where she was, Sanisa felt an odd call come through in her mind. It was from her gift to the young drow paladin, Adian. His sword was calling for her. She also felt that there was trouble where her son was.
The solar woman summoned a portal to where her son was and went through it.

"How can I be a proper husband if I can't even protect my own wife and . . . child," he brings an armored hand to his face and continues to sob, when he heard a commanding voice that only he would've known.

"And you didn't!" came a stern, but caring feminine voice he knew from behind the aasimar's back. Sanisa stood there, a shimmering light ebbing off of her wings as she walked up to to her kneeling son, her golden eyes gleaming.

"My young son, your paladin friend is right; there are ways to cure this affliction that that fiend threw upon your dearest Neriah. I [b:3qe2ubj6]am[/b:3qe2ubj6] capable of reverting her back to her original form, but it [b:3qe2ubj6]will[/b:3qe2ubj6] take time. Now, until such a time is when I have gained the necessary components and energy to cast such a spell, I want you, and Aurora along with your friends, to go through with this quest of yours."

Veraka looked up into the solar's eyes and rose to his feet. Then he embraced Sanisa in a bear hug that looked like it would crush an ordinary mortal, given the aasimar's sheer strength and size. But the solar woman merely returned the hug to her son, and said "now use what you've gained from this occurrence and finish this fight, Veraka."

The barely controlled aasimar merely nodded, his blazing silver and crimson eyes telling more than words ever would.

Adian felt a warm little glow in his chest. For the first time in this quest he felt as though he had gotten them through something significant. The beast was destroyed...whatever it was...and Neriah could be saved.

He looked around for another exit or room. If the thing was some kind of magic-user then it almost certainly had to have some sort of study or lab or something around here. Maybe then they would get a look at what was going on.

He reached up to touch Veraka's shoulder.

"Let's finish this," he said.

the stubborn rogue declined the help, tho the druidess was correct. she was still rather weak at the moment. hearing Adian, she moved out of the room. she had an idea of where it was. a room she passed that had a large heavy out of place stone door.
quickly, or as quick as she could anyway, exited the room coming to the door. it was easy to miss in its location, blending well, despite that it was out of place. before any could just barge in she began searching for traps and anything suspicious. no doubt this door was heavily warded.

This time she found it...telltale traces of sulphur and flakes of pewter. Probably another fire trap, with a wizard lock behind it. Cute.

Veraka, feeling a hand on his shoulder, looked over to find Adian behind him.

[color=blue:1lx3qd5q]"Let's finish this," he said.[/color:1lx3qd5q]

"Agreed; and I swear that whoever stands between me and seeing Neriah again [b:1lx3qd5q]will[/b:1lx3qd5q] die."

With that, the aasimar turned abut to follow Zarae to where she was now, waiting to see what the rogue's finds might be.
Veraka looked up to Adian as Sanisa strode past towards Neriah still form and knelt down.
"Just one thing, Adian; if I lose it again like before a while back, don't hesitate to do what is necessary."

"I suspect it would be like stopping a cavein with a twig," Adian quipped. "But I will if lives become at risk."

Cinder stay with Verakes wife in case trouble came wile the others were away. She started collecting her arrow from what was left of the beast. " Stay close to her Meldrinus " she said. She was sad but sure that the solor would be able to bring her and the baby back to Verake.

out of her gloves came the tools as she went began the tedious task. working quickly, she disarmed the seen trap, then proceeded to unlock the door. the familier click came. she checked again for any other traps; looking back to the others, she put a hand up before any would enter and threw a magical shield around herself, as well as pull the maroon cloth of the piwafwi up in a shielding manor and preceded to push the heavy door.

Cinder had all her arrows collected, she was quiet not to disturb the beatiful Solor. She found a spot away from all the blood and flesh at the other side of the large room and found a chunck of rock molding it into a bason and wispered a spell as water fell from her hands into it. She sat leaning against the wall and cleaned her arrows, she was getting tired and emotional. A tear fell from her eye as she continued her task.

Veraka, keeping his greatsword readied, as Zarae pushed the door open. The aasimar was in a mood that was not to be trifled with as he made his way into the room, and waved Adian in.

"Adian, you seeing anything, or even sensing anything, for that matter?" he asked the young drow paladin moving through the door, his blazing silver orbs searching for something, though one couldn't be sure if it was to flush something out or to kill it. The berserker was still very much alive and awake within him, and Veraka intended to use its dark power to destroy all who stood in his path and intended to hurt his friends.

Sanisa had made her way over to Neriah's petrified form, knelt down, and began to prepare her spell. Sanisa knew that she was testing the limits of her deity's patience, but as a mother, she could not and [b:nmdchnh7]would[/b:nmdchnh7] not turn away from helping her son and his newly wedded wife. She knew that Veraka, [b:nmdchnh7]and[/b:nmdchnh7] Neriah had worked so hard to make their relationship work, given the outside influences and travails that had accompanied it.
That and the fey'ri now carried within her the celestial woman's own grandchild. Sanisa would do anything, up to and including sacrificing her own life if it brought Neriah back from her stone state; however the solar doubted it would take that much out of her.

Looking over her shoulder, Sanisa smiled at Cinder, despite the druidess being frustrated, tired and saddened all at once.

"Calm yourself, Cinder. Neriah is not lost to us, nor shall she be."
With that said, Sanisa cast [b:nmdchnh7]Prayer[/b:nmdchnh7] upon the petrified fey'ri. Holy energies enveloped Neriah's form as the solar called down the powers of her deity from the heavens.

Cinder was comforted by the lady Sanisa's words, perhaphs by the time they came back Verake would have his wife back she hoped.
She continued to vigorously clean and polish each arrow carefully. She hoped Adain was not in to much danger, Verake and Zarae were there though, her mind was open to him and she would feel if he needed her..She was also certain that if there was anything they could not handle Verakes mother could sence it as well. She took the time to rest and keep an eye on things around Neriah and the solor in case something tryed to interfer. Meldinus hoofed over to her and rested protectively beside her. He was also alert to anything that could cause her danger. He was a strong and could be fearful himself if need be and could be quite dangerous if anything tryed to harm Cinder.
