Veraka looked up at Ariali; "let's just say that Inrii and Drakin provide a good [b:2lwjpb6r]distraction[/b:2lwjpb6r] from something that I prefer to keep buried deep down, unless such a time arises when I'll need to call upon it's power to aid us in combat," he looked away, remembering the first time that he had unleashed the berserker; the aftermath was gruesome and quiet bloody.
"Some things are better left untold," he said under his breath, barely a whisper.

Gilmahs picked up the aasimar's last comment, due in no small part to his keen sense of hearing. He contemplated for moment what the paladin could be referring to, but then dropped the subject.

"Yea, still as hot headed as ever," Drakin sighed to Inrii, "Hope she didn't make a remark about his weight, she'd probably be dead if she did."

A rustle came from the small groups left as another elf patrol passed them. They must be getting near the village with how much harder sneaking was becoming.

"Hope we get to the camp soon," he continued, "It'll be a lot easier to blend with the crowds and we may actually hear something interesting. Or at least we maybe able to keep hot head out of trouble."

((I'm gonna start using colored[/color:1fotqkqk] words to describe some aspects: Like this represents the berserker's thoughts[/color:1fotqkqk]))

Veraka continued to walk along, he was thankful that Ariali had given him room to think about his other darker side; he recounted all the times that he'd been under complete control of the berserker [i:1fotqkqk]few and far between but there were times when I had complete control of it, why was it those times?[/i:1fotqkqk]

The priestess saw what went on between the aasimar and the Lythari; when the wild elf backed off from Veraka, she saw an opportunity to test the resolve of the warrior.
"You do realize that the vampire that came and assaulted that pitifull village was just following orders?" she said, lying through her teeth, but hoping he would take the bait.

He did; turning to regard the drow, Veraka narrowed his eyes, "What? You best be mocking me, Lolthite."

"Oh not at all," she said, weaving her words like a viper readying to strike; "It was I asked him to attack those folk to lure you out; you are so easy to track down when you fight, spawn-of-angels."

In that instant, the aasimar exploded. The berserker roared and thrashed in his body, taking control of Veraka. He took two great strides over to the priestess, and with one hand, lifted her off the ground. Her eyes bulged with surprise and fear as the raging beast in him started to slowly squeeze the life out of her, his eyes glowing silver and demon-blood red.

Gilamahs and his patrol had zero time to react as the raging aasimar went over to the drow and began to throttle the life out of her. Normally, the sun elves would be content let an Ilythiiri die; but this was different. The paladin, and an aasimar to boot, was strangling the life out of her, at an unremarkable comment.
Gilmahs signaled his patrol to try and pry Veraka's hands off of Taberina's neck. Three sun elves and himself tried with all their prowess, they couldn't even open his armored hand.

NOOO! What are you doing?![/color:1fotqkqk] Veraka screamed at the beast in his head. He started to wrestle for control of his body.
Simple; getting revenge for you and those villagers who've lost their lives,[/color:1fotqkqk] the berserker growled back.
What's done is done; I can't redo the past. Put her down, NOW![/color:1fotqkqk]
To what end?[/color:1fotqkqk] it asked unceremoniously.
It doesn't matter; I said NOW!![/color:1fotqkqk] He roared.
Suit yourself[/color:1fotqkqk] the berserker said, surrendering control of his body back to Veraka.

The aasimar saw Taberina, almost in a pleading facial expression, grasping at her neck; he lowered her to the ground, stalked over to nearby tree and leaned on it while the patrol made sure the priestess wasn't dead.

Ariali quickly realized what the priestess was doing, but it was too late, he had gone after her. the patrol was trying to get him back into his right mind as his fist continued to squeeze to within an inch of her life.
she took a step back, unsure what to think. this must have been what he meant.
finally he let go of her and walked off. she didnt know what to do. she had never had such a situation. she just stood their as the elves dwelt with the drowess.

Drakin watched Veraka's rage from a safe distance. He knew there was nothing he or Inrii could do to stop Veraka before he killed the Drow.

Drakin shook his head, Why does he always let the small stuff get to him[/color:8gh7cz1r], he wondered, he's gonna kill himself by letting it go too far one day. . .ooh SQUIRREL[/color:8gh7cz1r]

Veraka breathed in and out heavily as he recovered from the berserker; "how in the Nine Hells did I just control that?"

Inrii saw it too. she remembered some of it fro the last trip. but he was able to control it better.
maybe the pool worked?[/color:2jaocp8m] she wondered.
he's doing better than I've seen before,[/color:2jaocp8m] she signed back.

((you paintball snipe?:uh-huh: WTF you're Drakin's counterpart. Ahh nuts ))

"I'm fine, though, that's has been it's most powerful awakening yet," he turned to regard Ariali, who was in among the trees; "I believe that I'll be fine from here on in; the berserker has for once in a very long time heeded my command, thank the Dark Maiden."
right then, he noticed the symbol on his left pauldron was glowing, which was the symbol of Bahamut, the mighty platinum wyrm.

she noticed him looking at his hand as the others began to turn their attention back to the warrior.
"thats is good?" beginning to understand the problem.

"It is," he said, staring Ariali in the directly in the eyes, his silver orbs glowing; "it means two things have come about. One; that I have some control over the berserker beast inside of me; and two; I've succesfully passed one of the tests that the great wyrm, Bahamut, gave me."
He looked up and actually gave off a genuine smile.

[never tried paintballing yet though I really do want to try. Need to find a job first lol. Also need my other ADD friend to come back from some military training to have some really interesting fun.]

Drakin watched as the group once more began to move.

"Well I guess he's better," Drakin said, he could read Inrii's hand signals, but he still had difficulty using them himself, "I was hoping they would stay awhile longer. . .I'm hungry for another cookie."

Ariali smiled back. "thats great then." then she whispered, "their looking at you wondering. might wanna sorta fill them in?"
--
they might be heading off again based off their body reactions. [/color:3180bfd9]
she edged closer to the group and waited for them to continue twords the village

The group had started up once more, then, moment later had stopped in regard to the storm warrior's change in demeanor.

Veraka turned to see Gilmahs and the entire patrol giving him an oddball look as to his sudden outburst; Gilmahs was the first to shake off the look and resume his walk toward the village. The group started up again, this time with a certain overgrown white ball of fur bringing up the rear.

Aurora looked to Ariali, saying [i:1n68brmq]did he lose control of it again?[/i:1n68brmq]

Gilmahs decided to break the silence; "So, what was that ."
"Demon that came out and nearly throttled the priestess," Veraka finished for him.
The sun elf nodded.
"That 'side' of me, for lack of better term, is what's known to me as the berserker. In laymans terms, it's the culmination of my lifetime's build up of anger, rage, fear, sorrow, any negative type of energy that you could possibly think of," he paused to let the elves absorb his words; "when I was about 22 years of age, it had grown to such a power that it had a mind of it's own, though it's thought process is pretty linear."

"Linear?" Gilamahs asked with an inquisitive look.

"Anything that gets in its way is just another obstacle for it obliterate," Veraka explained, walking along side the leader.
"It came out when I was that age, came out and killed everything around it, save for a few villagers that had triggered it," he let slow breath; "if you think that it was just some unfortunate bastard that got on the wrong side of my nerves, that's where you'd be wrong. 312 people died by my hand alone that day," he said darkly.
