Taking the hand into her own firmly, shaking it much like her father instructed her to upon making a new acquaintence. A smirk--which was forming since the last word escaped the mouth of the greeting elf.

"A blessing? Nah, I am not that far down my path of priestess to recieve such a compliment! My mother was a cleric, so it only seemed right that I followed. To say I slacked in my duties is an understatment. "

When the palms left each other's grasp, a surge of embarassment rushed to Lilandra's face, darkening the skin considerably.

"I forgot to present my name! I am Lilandra N'vra, daughter of the priestess Nay'lin, my father being none other then the not-so-famous druid, Tystian."

If some ale were inside her being, Lilandra's lips might babble about her great grandma's history, but so was not the case. The drow inside instructed her to not go further then her name in a casual introduction, and this particular time, instinct won over what would of been proper, at least in her father's eye.

"Oh yes, back to the topic of rogues...I have seen more then a handful, drow or otherwise, among my travels and near the place of my birth, so spotting them is not a chore for myself."

Rogues? That is a topic Lildandra hasn't spoken of, not even thought about since her first and only visit to the caverns of Skullport--something not to repeated anytime soon. A silvery braid brushed against her cheek, hand swiftly moving to push the nuisance aside.

"I am curious to hear about the theives orignating from these lands, though."

OOC: Calling me Shando is fun :P I don't mind it, but Lilandra is something else I answer too XD

As the first person came in the tavern, the little elf girl look at theperson when she takes out her cloak, thinking [i:3aurutg4]"Perhaps she has something to hide, but then again, who doesn't? ok, probably me unless the person comming in is a lolthite and does not like very much that I killed a cleric of Lolth a year ago, but if anything happens I can always count on my club."[/i:3aurutg4]

She chuckled at the thought and for once she decides to be a child again, even if it's just for once.

When the woman speaks in a language she does not recognize she tugs at Unen's clothes and looks up to him "What did she say?" she asks in a childish tone, her golden hair loose behind her pointed elven ears, and her green, curious eyes not revealing now all the life she had before. Deciding to be a child was not easy for her, but yet very comforting.

Once the second person came into the room and she recognized the clothing to be the ones of the Dark Maiden followers, she smiled when she saw the holy Simbol and took her own Simbol of Corellon Laretian in her hands, with much Joy.

"Sorry to ask... are you a follower of Eilistraee? I always saw that symbol in books, but never in person, this is the first time." and hearing Erelae's and Lilandra's introduce, she decided to Introduce herself, even if this two don't pay much or any attention at all to her "I'm Katrán," enlarges a hand for them both to shake "from..." and her face shadowed with a grimace again, like if she had bitter memories "No, never mind that any more" she sighs and points to Raven "Perhaps she may be one of those Rogues..."

"Hm?"

The child who was by the male's side, Unen or something along those lines, approached with suprising grace. The elegance did not bring the bright smile, at least not by itself, the innocence across her face played the major role in that accomplishment.

"A follower of the Dark Maiden? Why yes! I guess I am, little one."

Glancing downward at the symbol identical to her own, then back up again to the young girl's face, well at least until the once petit hand grew far beyond it's normal size. Hesitantly, Lilandra places her hand around the smooth digits for a brief moment, reeling back slowly to avoid insult.

"Nice to meet you, Katra'n."

Noticing the joy the girl had in discovering what she does for a living has vanished into a frown similar to the one which appears on her face when a healing fails, a dark hued hand moves to the girl's shoulder. Mocking the gestures her father made when something stirred saddness in her being, attempting to bring the bright grin back to Katra'n's face.

"Alright, I will not ask anything you do not wish to answer."

Following the outstretched finger to the woman across the bar, Lilandra's lips curling into an intrigued smile.

"Oh? I believe she might! You got a good pair of eyes."

OOC: Sorry for typing your name incorrectly ^^" I dunno how to make the accent of the a like that. Mine comes out like a' <.<"

[t:2rouddmb]When the newcomers came into the bar, Raven did as she had been doing, and slipped the hood of her cloak back over her horns.
[t:2rouddmb]When the newcomers asked questions about rogues, she started to look a little nervous and said nothing, only slipped back away from the crowd, towards the shadows nearer the fire.

[i:3mige3rm]'Ah, that's better. It seems that we've caught the attention of a few of the others.'[/i:3mige3rm] Taverns are meant for socializing, and she's never been one to try and spoil other conversationalists' moods. Hells, if she were on a job, keeping up the ambiance usually serves to make things all the easier. Such is irrelevant right now, anyway. Right now, all she really wants is to get to know the patrons of this unusual establishment.

Starting with Lilandra N'vra.

She chuckles lightly at Lilandra's claim of religious negligence, as the shadowdancer is feeling assured that the priestess is exaggerating. She slowly shakes her head as she replies, "Just on the path or already past the halfway mark, meeting one of Lady Silverhair's circle always serves to set my heart at ease."

She can't help the small smirk that takes over her smile at the sight of Lilandra's blush. [i:3mige3rm]'Such becomes her,'[/i:3mige3rm] is the thought that flickers across her mind before she says aloud, "I am glad to know your name, then, and that of your parents, although I'm afraid that neither rings a bell in my memory."

She shrugs unceremoniously, reassuming her smile as she adds, "Not that I'm not up for learning more. Oh, and before my manners slip again, my mother was one of the Dark Maiden's flock once, as well. Alyaste Baenett, though I'm sure her name means little in these parts of the world. My father, Kan'ean, is a ranger. I take after him."

Her eyes follow the sweeping aside of Lilandra's braid, her attention quick to return to focusing on the other woman's eyes. "Rogues and thieves are not the same sort of folk," she relates, "At least not in my experience. Many of their talents differ, as well as their moral fiber."

Her eyes glitter with merriment, as if enjoying a private joke. She would have continued, but the appearance of Katrán silences her as she makes to listen to what the elven 'child' seeks to say. Once Lilandra is done with her shaking of the unusual appendage, Erelae makes an attempt to do the same. "Quite the gift that you have there, Katrán. Pleased to meet you."

She doesn't add any more words of comfort or reassurance for the golden haired elf than Lilandra has already provided, as she feels that what has already been said is quite adequate. She does nod her agreement on the tail end of what Lilandra says, however, just so Katrán realizes that she echoes the priestess's feelings on the matter.

Raven's reaction to Katrán and Lilandra's observations are noted by an elf that knows such maneuvers from personal experience. Erelae promptly darts her arms behind her head to start gathering her hair up into a loose knot with her persistent fingers. "Like I said, rogues aren't like thieves. They've proven to me that they are damn handy to have in a tight spot. Whether in a fight, or having a long dark hallway looming in front of the folk you've promised to keep alive, I'd rather have a rogue backing me up than any other."

Does this count as 'tooting her own horn'? Hells, who cares. She's been more shadow and stealth rather than lock picks and trap lines long enough now that most rogues that stayed the course wouldn't consider her one of their own any longer. She's more of a warrior now than anything. A very agile warrior with some interesting tricks in her arsenal.

"A thief is little more than just that. Vagabonds, bandits, pickpockets ... ," she twirls a finger in a definite 'whoop-de-doo' gesture, "Sure, there are the ones that specialize in burglery, and others can put up a good fight if cornered, but ..."

She gives another quick shrug, this one being less effective as she's still battling her hair. "You get the idea."[/color:3mige3rm]

OOC: Eh heh. Sorry, Shando. I mean Lilandra. I mean ... So ... confused ... :squint:

A small figure entered the Silverymoon bar, only just over four and a half feet tall. The stranger was bundled in a large, midnight-blue cloak with a deep hood. Stretched across the lower half of its face was a black scarf with silver trim. On its back was a formidable-looking bastard sword, very nearly as tall as its wielder. The figure made its way across the bar, gliding lightly among the taller patrons without so much as disturbing a sash.

The stranger approached the barkeep and set a number of silver coins on the counter with a gloved hand.

"I desire a meal and fruit juice," the stranger said in a soft tenor. The voice was slightly muffled by the scarf and was spoken just low enought to be heard by the barkeep, but it was almost certainly male. "I shall gladly accept whatever this will buy."

As the newest patron waited a response from the bartender, sharp-eyed patrons were able to get a good look at the single weapon he carried. The sword was sheathed in a scabbard that bore the complex designs characteristic of elven make. The sword itself was of fine quality steel and polished until it appeared nearly silver. At the pommel of the sword was the unmistakable design of a full moon with a female form holding a sword dancing before it. To those sensitive to the magical, there was little doubt that the weapon had been touched by one divine force or another.

[t:15yqrs6p]Raven is still shifting in her seat uncomfortably and watching as yet another newcomer enters the room.
[t:15yqrs6p]She sighs and gets up from her corner, approaching the child she had been speaking with earlier.
[t:15yqrs6p]"Katran? I am afraid we may have to take up our conversation later..I.. I think I may have to go.."
[t:15yqrs6p]she trails off then and looks towards the window, nervousness and fear are obvious in her manner.

The door to the tavern opens wide as the dirt and dust from outside rushes inward. With sharp features, looking similar to that of a moon elf with piercing eyes the shade of the royal purple cloak that whirl around him. Looking around the room with the experienced gaze of a warrior tried and true. His shoulder length hair falls about his face in dark rivulets giving him a most intimidating appearence. Stalking toward the middle of the common room, his cloak flowing like the wind behind him and makes his way toward raven. Beneath the cloak, a bastard sword seemingly made of adamantine that seems to drip red energy onto the ground. From a distance it seems as though the blade drips blood, many shudder as he walks by. As he nears the very faint scent of brimstone fills the area, and his dark eyes glower at raven with apparent anger. He speaks sharply; "Raven, come with me now."

[t:qycs64ha]Ravens face goes even whiter than her normally pale complexion. She backs away slowly, her heart pounding loud enough to be heard. She releases a faint 'eep', and then takes off at a run, heading for the door as fast as she can.

As quickly as she runs, the imposing man gestures to the men standing in non-descript clothing to grab her. Within a few seconds raven notices them, all 4 of them blocking the door way. Large and very imposing

The small figure turned and saw the unfolding scene. A girl fleeing an imposing, distinctly threatening male with four thugs evidently in persuit of a frightened female. Surely this could not be right.

He opened his senses to the supernatural, searching for the telltale auras of light and darkness in an effort to determine the nature of things. (OCC: Detect Evil).

"Five men are nessecary to restrain a female?" the stranger asked in a voice that carried just far enough to be heard by the leader of the group. "Granted she is larger than most, but surely there arebetter ways."

[i:v6gd8ibz]'Oh great ... Juu-uust great.'[/i:v6gd8ibz] It serves her right, letting herself get comfy amidst a gathering of strangers in a city she has yet to case. Priorities line themselves up in her mind, sparking instincts that guide her movements faster than planning could allow.

As cowardly as it may seem, she steps away from both the priestess and the young elf, away from the imperious man who is fast approaching the middle of the room. Let him think her reaction is out of fear, or anyone else for that matter. Once she feels she is no longer in danger of being noticed, as the man who just entered is doing a marvelous job of being the center of attention, she silently Calls to the shadow that Lilandra is casting upon the tavern's wall and floor. A soft step more and she is within it, her view of the room and its occupants now in varying shades of grey. She has become accustomed to this alteration, the lack of color being similar to her darkvision with the exception of the blurriness that the shadows bring.

A dart of motion that employs her reflexes to keep such out of sight, another old habit that has yet to leave her, slips a hand into one of her many pockets. The partially curved and thin circles of tinted crystal that she retrieves are nudged into being balanced upon two fingertips by her thumb. Only then does she lower her head to open her eyes wide and insert the lenses into place, centered upon her pupils. A couple of blinks adjusts them properly, allowing the embedded enchantment within the lenses to affect her vision as well as their dark brown hue to conceal her otherwise red eye color.

She regrets the distance between her and her cloak immediately, vowing to never again abandon it in a social setting. To fetch it now would cost her precious time, so she dismisses her selfish desire to hide beneath its protective layers.

By now, Raven has bolted for the door, her trepidation rippling off of her fleeing form in a cascade that draws almost as much attention as the haughty male's entrance did. The man's interest currently seems centered on Raven, and so Erelae does not worry over the two she was conversing with earlier. With any luck, they can take care of themselves. The four men blocking Raven's way are her main interest right now, though she does register Adian's questions with a hint of a smile. Good. Should things go sour, that'll make at least one person who will hopefully swing in her favor against 'Lord Fancycloak'. Now, to gain the girl some room to slip out so Erelae can question her about this whole mess in relative safety. Something that won't mark her as the culprit.

Well, she hasn't had much opportunity to work on her knots lately, has she? Envisioning the outside of the tavern, she Shadowjumps through the wall, ending up in the shadow of one of the four lurking brutes. Crouching down, she takes care to move silently as she begins to guide an intricately woven, and deceivingly thin, silken cord around the men's ankles. She has to temper her actions with both stealth and speed, with the hope that Adian can keep the interlopers busy long enough for her to finish. In the unlikely scenario that she is caught, she plans to tumble away and hide in the shadows once more.[/color:v6gd8ibz]

OOC: In case it effects anything, the contacts that Erelae put on are called Eyes of the Deceiver. They were made from a Crystal Ball of True Seeing, and are more durable than they appear.

[t:ukquubh2]Raven halts at the sight of the thugs blocking her way out of the door.
[t:ukquubh2]"D@%^ you, Magnus."
[t:ukquubh2]She curses,
[t:ukquubh2]"Why can't you just leave me alone? I told you before, I will never marry you. I don't care what this.."
[t:ukquubh2]She pulls a pendant out from beneath her shirt. It appears to be two figures entwined, holding a small gem in their outstretched hands. When the pendant faces the man in the cloak, it glows brightly.
[t:ukquubh2]"Says. I will not go back with you, I will never become your brood mare."
[t:ukquubh2]She finishes, then stands bravely facing the man she called Magnus, though her terror is apparent.

(OOC: Sorry, so many posts in only one day. I'll have to catch up with you guys later. For now I'll answer to Lilandra and Erelae's last posts to me. By the way, Lilandra, no problem about the accents, if is a problem then just write "Katran". I know in english you don't write the accents.)

As Lilandra puts her hand in Katrán's shoulder and she feels is a gentle hand she smiles sadly at her.

"Don't worry. I just remembered my best friend used to be a Rogue, or that's what I think because she always sayed she had many abbilityes, but never talked about them. Once she was framed for a crime of murder I know she couldn't have commited because it was impossible for her and I also have proof that she was innocent. I even know who the true guilty was. I defended her in front of the council and they sayed thatit was alright, they wouldn't hung her but they'd exile her if I was exiled with her. If I stayed in town they'd hang her, and so we both left... I never met my parents and was raised in the Temple of Corellon Laretian by an old cleric I loved like a father. He was the only father I ever knew, and he looked very disappointed. I never saw him again and I don't know if he will ever forgive me"

Katran eyes now look clear and a melancholic smile crosses her face. She looks to Lilandra again "I had to grow fast and develop a template so people can know I'm serious, but I take every chance I have to feel like a child again... I'm sorry to ask you this, but could you give me a hug?" and she tries to smile brightly again at both Lilandra and Erelae.

Phisical contact can do wonders and more when you're a child.

Then, as raven tell her to finish the conversation later she understands she might have embarrased Raven and nods.

"Sure. I hope we meet again soon. Was nice talking to you"

(Will read the rest of the posts later and answer to them all)

"She has spoken," the stranger said, drifting closer to the confrontation. "It would be best for all if you conceded her wish. Surely there is no need to continue this where so many people can get hurt. Do we understand one another?"

The voice was clearer now, a young voice only just approaching adulthood. Yet the certainty, the calmness in the voice hinted at more worldly things. At no moment did his hand reach from beneath his cloak to the sword on his back, but his posture suggested a coiled spring.

"Come, neighbor," he said. "Perhaps I might buy you a drink and engage in more pleasant conversation. Surely there is no need to be billigerent."

The words were spoken politely, but the tone suggested that such a course of action was to be recommended over the alternative...
