Veraka saw the ranger veer towards the old, rank-smelling building; and less than a minute later, the inferno was up and blazing. Just the one building at the moment, but nodding along with Zek, he merely grinned.

As he strolled along, he said to the ranger; "you sure that you're not among my ranks of the Dragon-Father, or perhaps the Dark Maiden. I understand the fact that you really don't really care for deities, and what they are; but you seem to let your actions speak for you rather than words, a philosophy we both share. Which is ironic enough, because that is why I follow Bahamut. Don't think of me trying to be this ignoble paladin trying to promote followers to the faith'; I'm asking outta genuine curiosity."

Nodding slowly as he listened he rubbed his chin slightly." I've questioned if I would be accepted into Bahamut's favored. I know that my work would have given me some level of favor with him. Removing the troublesome, and the incurable.. which I know there's a cure, the problem is all paths of my research have turned up nothing." Shrugging slightly" As for the Dark Maiden, I've wondered about it to be honest. It's not that I don't care, it's because I wished to prove that I could survive by skill and minimal luck. Though I have a feeling some deity would take credit for my survival. I do wonder, if the old dragon mage I knew ages ago was in league with Bahamut, and given me this long life. Or if I was naturally born to live this long."

Veraka stared blankly at Zek's remark about knowing a dragon mage in his life time; then grinning, have you anymore secrets of longevity that I should know of."

"I'm joking; but if you truly want to know the Father-Dragon's dogma, you've been living it as far as I understand it. 'Speak through your actions, rather than fragile words, that can be manipulated as easily as leaves in the wind. If you've been telling me the truth about the menaving ones, and taking pity on the ill, incurables, then you've already taken it one step up from my level. I'm not going to assume to know you ranger, which is probably the truth, but I think you have been living the Platinum Dragon's code whether you know it or not."

Chuckling slightly" Well there's been rumors of dragon blood in my family, and house line. I honestly would not be surprised if there was." At the hearing of the dogma he shrugged slowly" At times I truly wonder, if that is what my mentors in my youth really were. a wood elf ranger and a human mercenary, I think they started hunting as a trade, then learned of the disease and went on from there." Shrugging." I do not know.. but I think that I would remember you if I met you.. and I suppose it is reassuring to know. I am in his good graces some how."

"Heh heh, well with dragon-blood in your veins, even if it's an 'if', that already rasies you one up; think of it like this; you're the descendant of some great wyrm and you're helping out others, who, like you, aren't necessarily evil, but merely in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kinda like Aurora was when I found her."

Veraka's face grew a little solemn at Zek's mention of remembering him, but he maintained that grin; "well I'm glad someone will remember me as one who's willing to scorch places with him," he chuckled at the remark; "truth be told, ranger; I'm not sure how long I'll live on this rock, I know I've got a better chance then most aasimar, as they only have 5, 10 percent of their ancestors blood in their veins; me? I've been graced with more than a quarter of my bloodline being from my mother, who apparently, was, or is, I don't know which, an archangel among the ranks of the soldiers of the Triad. MY father, I've no idea whom he was, but I do know that he possessed a little planar blood in his veins too. So, as to my age and estimated years, I've no idea how long I have."

Nodding slightly." I've been wondering about the age factor about the Aasimar. As for bloodlines, it's possible, the question is, what breed of dragon. At my age, really it could be any, as I know my family throughout the ages did make the occasional run up to the surface. so who knows." Patting his shoulder" I'm sure you'll live a long time. Believe me, you won't be forgotten. You'll be remembered as the one whom acted naturally. And in that I have a feeling you might live for a long time."

"It's good to feel remembered," he replied with a nod.
Feeling the rangers encouragement, the aasimar had to smile; "well, at least that makes two of us," he replied with his usual wit.

"Oh shut up," he joked, rolling his eyes at the wolf.

"At least i'm open to the idea of an unusual, but attractive mate; unlike you," he retorted.

Watching them he couldn't help but not to laugh." You know.. it's not a bad idea... looking at other routes in things. You never know..." He mused and nodded" You're going to have your paws full for a long long time I think. But you have to admit.. it's fun."

The aasimar went drop-jaw as he tried to respond, but only came up dry at the winter wolfs deadpan response. The ranger was obviously enjoying this little bout between the two.

Hearing the ranger's comment about bedroom life, Veraka immediately burst out laughing, his slack-jaw immediately replaced by a grin. The ranger could think of [b:qp57nub0]anything[/b:qp57nub0] to say at the right moments.
"Ranger, the more I think about it, the more I'm beginning to not doubt that you've got draconic blood in your veins; first off your about as much or a crazed pyro as Inrii is, then this comes out at the right moment; quite literally you say? Well, that [b:qp57nub0]would[/b:qp57nub0] be a day to remember." He chuckled at Zek's remark.

Hearing him he laughed shaking his head." Why is that? Because I have the same mentality as some? I think it's in the male instinct.. which instinct I'm not saying." There was a small pause" It depends to as what comes out and how." He mused slightly. Eying Aurora" Women, can be just as bad if not worse." Oh gods did he know first hand..." At the ranger's second remark, he doubled over in a laughing fit; "by the gods, man; where do you learn this crap?"

The winter wolf lifted brow at Zek's remark; [i:25rq6jz5]maybe among your and Veraka's races, perhaps yes.[/i:25rq6jz5] She chuckled thinking about Veraka with a female aasimar. She then doubled over herself, having a laughing fit herself.

((I'm not going to doubt that; I swear if drow lived on Earth, human females would get along lovely with 'em. Shit, we'd be fucked

( I briefly worked at a catalog place that sold women's clothing. I worked with my mother and her friends... it was like having 50 mothers...)

He nodded slightly" Wise decision... and where? You forgot what I am. My mother was the matron, and I had two sisters. The only other male was my father. You have no idea the discussions that went on... and I was forced to be apart of from time to time." He had a similar thought and looked to Veraka for a moment chuckling. Oh the visions was priceless.

"I've traveled with many a drow before this little adventure; but never have I met one like you. I suppose that makes me one of the few lucky ones; I'm still alive, one, and two, get to blow a decrepit city to Mount Celestia and back with a ranger, who might be part dragon. . . Aahhaha;" he laughed again, then immediately stopped when both Aurora and the ranger were amusing themselves to some thought.

"Is there something you wanna share?" he asked with a raised brow.

Aurora merely shock her head quickly, smiling all the while.

((Drow females on Earth. . . I'm joining the Rangers; after all, the females do require their mates to have some of the best stamina
