The last goblin lets loose a stone from its slingshot, the projectile whistling through the air, strikes the orc man on the shoulder. The impact stings.

It taunts, darting behind another tree for cover. A few more sets of yellow eyes start to emerge from the surrounding stands of trees. Sounds of scuffling through the branches and eriee chatter seem to be moving closer aound the ground.

Slog brushes aside the pain of the sting with a growl, his fierce orcish spirit is at once ignited. He charges toward the source of the shot, raising his halbred high above his head, swirling it around in an attempt to slice the little nuisance from the side of the hiding tree, in half.

Raaah! Slog find you and kill you!

As Slog chases the last revealed goblin Tarvis looks and hears the slight sound of of scuffling and eerie chatter calls out.

Stay alert there are others out there of some kind. Do not go too far from the cart and mounts. Protect each other,

He then seeks to back Slog up by going toward the other side of the tree. His boots gets him there fast. The quarterstaff ready to strike as anything seen.

Elron looks again to see if there is a target for his arrow. About ready to set bow aside still is staying near Bess and the other mounts.

Another goblin, emboldened by its companion's distraction, attempts a flanking maneuver. With a running start, a goblin appears behind Elron, leaping onto his back and covering his eyes with clawed hands.

It screams and laughs hysterically at the same time.

Still slowly moving around the back of the apple cart with sword in hand, Daleah keeps her eyes on the donkeys in case they sense direction of movement of the goblins.

The donkeys look back toward Elron, their ears flickering as if being tickled or annoyed.

She calls out to warn him.

Elron, behind you!

But, it seems to be too late to warn him.

Tarvis charges the goblin nearest him to knock out of combat.

Elron drops his arrow and and pulls his danger and cuts his cloak free, spin to stab the goblin as he falls.

Tarvis knocks away the oncoming goblin, back behind the stand of trees. Tarvis can hear a hollow thud sound of the little green monster falling into his own trap hole.

Aaahhhrg!

Elron stabs the goblin, leaving him to stagger away and die on the ground.
Another goblin appears, grabbing onto Elron's boots and calling out to his hidden cohorts.

Get his cape! I want his boots!

Slog looks up in the tree trops to make sure goblin archers aren't around, then using the handle of his halberd like a staff, the orc man starts poking around behind the tree looking for the goblin and keeping his red eyes alert for traps.

Daleah, seeing she can be of no use at the front line, turns back to the rear to help Elron. She also looks to the tree tops before leaving the wagon.
With her blade at the ready, she quickly moves along the tree lines, racing to take a swing toward the goblin at Elron's feet.

Heck of a battle, need to find them or wait for them.

Tarvis calls out.

Stay close to the cart and mounts watch for each other and yourself. Do not go to far to attack them wait for them to attack. They have built traps here

Watches to see any targets and pulls back to the one with the broken bones..

Pokes him maybe he will call for peace, but ready to give it a killing blow.
Elron look at the running goblin and throws his dagger to stop him quicker, drawing his sword to fight, as Daleah comes to kill the boot hugging goblin.

Bess Guard

Bess Shakes head and then rises up to strike at any approaching goblin. Her iron shod hooves ready to do damage as she then moves closer to Elron.

Where are Bludgeon and Lielanni

Looking about as neither appear to be fighting right now.

The dark elf remains still, her crimson eyes watching as the goblin Elron shot falls to its knees.
Slog carries his halberd, moving quickly toward Bludgeon, his red eyes glancing over to Tarvis as if awaiting the goblin his Leader took down to make another attempt at attack .

The dark elf is taking a moment to activate a stealth spell on the group. On moose back, she moves to the center of everyone in the group, approxinately 30 ft in diameter. Whispering poetic words, she draws a small change purse from her cloak. She dumps the contents into her hand and rubs it between her palms, ashes from a burned leaf of mistletoe and a sprig of spruce. MOVE WITHOUT TRACE A veil of shadows and silence radiates from her, masking her and all companions from detection.

Bludgeon is on the other side of the tree stand, helping Slog to search for the hiding goblin. Her pitchfork straight out, her green eyes scanning for any more goblins that might come out around the two orcs.

Meanwhile, as the orcs are busy...

The air is thick with tension as the adventuring group awaits the next move, their breaths quickening in anticipation. The sun is low on the horizon, slowly rising, casting long shadows that dance across the glittering white terrain. Bess, standing near Elron like a sentinel with senses honed to the dangers lurking in the gathering daylight, may shift her weight, muscles coiled and ready, his instinctive guardian in this wild stretch of winterscape land.
Suddenly, from the snow covered underbrush, a rustle shatters her attentive watch. A small figure erupts from the shadows, another goblin, with beady eyes alight, brandishing his dagger learing at her right flank. It darts with surprising speed toward the horse, a disconcerting cackle escaping its lips as it aimed to jump and hike itself up from the stirrups.

Giddy-up horsey!! Aaayeee!

Another goblin races quick as a rat, pivoting and bolting past the orcs, toward Tarvis. Its lusty eyes fixated on his pair of magical boots. Perhaps the human is caught off-guard, barely having time to react before the goblin lunged, hands outstretched to snatch at the prize. With a sneer, the goblin aims to unlace the boots and flee into the shadows.

I want these!

Daleah's strike will make connection to her intended goblin as Llelanni's spell will only after then, be activated.

All the adventurers are now, at once, able to pass without trace. The goblins are not able to magically detect them.

With carefully tailored precision, the flat edge of Daleah's sword slaps the goblin, knocking it away from Elron.

Daleah turns back toward the apple cart, squinting her eyes to protect them in the emerging sunlight.

Bess well trained is ready for the goblin, she rears up and strikes her hooves at the charging goblin's dagger and head.

Elron sensing the magic about him, pauses a moment to determine what the effect is.

Tarvis jumps high into the air as the goblin passes under him and might even hit its fallen comrade, as Tarvis lands about 10 foot away.

If the party is total concealed it still is possible the gpblins might find them, even without being attacked. Clearly attacking them would defeat the shielding.

Bess' goblin is caught with a "clink" of her metal shoes, sending him flying head over heels, making landfall back onto the trail.
His dagger lay atop the snow at the hooves of her back feet.

Tarvis' goblin gets stuck in the snow. He looks around for any sign of the adventurers. Seeing no more movement or footprints being made in the snow, he calls out,

I know you're here! I'm going to get your speedy boots!

A muffled scream comes from the tree stand between Slog and Bludgeon. It comes from the hole in the ground, where the other companion goblin had fallen into the trap.

Hey! Who's there?!! Get me outta here!!

Tarvis' goblin turns his head towards the voice.

Not until I get those magic-ic-ca-cal boots!

Tarvis' goblin looks down, grabs an apple from the snowy ground, and throws it where Tarvis had landed in an attempt to locate the human.

Daleah's goblin sits up, holding the side of his face and swollen pointy nose while looking around in astonishment.

Hey, why you slap me? I just want boots. It's soooo cold, my feet are blue!

The goblin crawls onto his belly, wriggling closer to Elron's fallen cape. His yellow eyes look sneaky and conniving.
