Cinder giggled again " Of that Verake I have know doubts. I think that might just stop him his tracks. But I will find a way to distract him from his instincts Verake, he may be a bit nervous to start with but he get use to her presents I have not know him to be disagreeable. I can put him in a docile trance for a few days until he gets use to her, the horses will be nervous as well. Perhaps we can alter her sent for a few days also but I am sure the druid who brings her will have some ideas." Cinder said . It was good to see the sadness that shadowed him leave Verake. She leaned forward and scratched behind Meldrinus's ears gently and smooth the fur on his neck affectionately.
Her attention once again drifted to Biot and the woods.

Biot came stumbling out of the woods in front of the group. It looked like he was badly beaten. "I'm s....." He tried to say something but fainted and fell to the ground with a hard thump. His fists, feet and head was all bruised and cut. He looked terrible.

Adian was off his horse at once, giving no thought to presonal safety as he ran to the side of the injured man, a healing song already on his lips as he reached him.
[i:kjfhpowi]"Our dark mother Queen of the Night
Through Death's door guide us to the light
Through the pain set us free
Our dark mother Queen of the Night
Let us be reborn again "[/i:kjfhpowi]
Immediately the worst of Biot's injuries began to close and fade, though not as far as a true healer's might have. He had gone from critical to stable, and that was what counted.

Biot awoke with the taste of tea on his lips. "I'm s... s... s... sorry, I didn't mean to." he muffled in a soft and weak voice. "I h... h... h... had to be punished..." Then Biot passed out again.

" It will be much easier for the druid to catch up if we set up camp early," she turned to Verake. " I a certain she will be here by sun down or shortly after. "

(*waves* so i got a day or two before the next week begins. tho i will have to spend alot of time catching up i see.)
Zarae neared. she could sense it. they had made it this far? she knew how much she had, still was, adjusting. maybe she had an advantage over them? Moonlight neighed softly as he sensed them too. a small group, tho just as dangerous as a horde.
Moonlight paused and Zare slid from his back. barely noticable to even a trained eye was a small partial boot print. the weight had been distributed evenly and the foot walked on the ball of their feet, like an elf, as aposed to the heel, like a human.
the track was relativley knew, but with the cold and snow, time was harder to tell. most interesting was the direction it pointed. twords a cosp of trees and boulders, which likely contained a cave enterance and possibly her hunters.
the young rogue drew a dagger as she decided to follow them.

Biot wakes up, his body feeling like its been ripped apart by wolves. He opens his eyes, seeing that the sun has almost set. Against the sun as a backdrop he sees someone standing what looks a body in his hands. The figure then throws the body to the side. Biot gets up as fast as he can, only to see that all his friends have been killed. Some bodies high up in the trees, other just lying in the blood covered snow. Biot hears the person calling to him: "This is what happens when you go against your fathers wishes!" Biot instantly recognizes the voice, its his father. "Here? Of all places!?! It can't be!" He said to himself. "I wont let you get away with this father!" He yelled while running towards his father, weapons drawn. But for some reason he can't get closer to his father no matter how fast he tries running. Suddenly his father is standing rite in front of him, giving him a fist in the face, a cold wet fist.... Biot opens his eyes to see Cinder and Pwdn standing over him, his face wet from the water they splashed on his face. He then realized that it was just a bad dream.

Veraka turns to see Biot thrashing about in his unconscious state, only to be waken up by Cinder and Adian. The warrior walks over to him, squats down and places an armored gauntlet on the Biot's shoulder.
"Sleep well, my friend?" Veraka asks him, his voice all concern; "you look like you just faced the Demon Lord of the Abyss and barely escaped with your life. Come on, let's get you patched up," he says, lifting his massive frame up and extending a hand to Biot.

"Thank you Veraka" Biot says while Veraka helps him get up. Biot limped a bit then he reached for the underside of his foot taking out a inch long thorn. Then he remembered what happened. He was so enraged with what he had done and what happened that he ran into a devils thorn forest, hitting every tree and rock he could find with his fists and head. The razer-sharp thorns tearing open his skin. That's the last thing he remembers. He can't remember how he came to be amongst friends again.

"What in the Nine Hells happened to ya?" the aasimar asked Biot as he hoisted the young half-drow to his feet. Veraka looked over Biot, not sure with what he was looking at.
The young lads body was filled from tip to toe with thorns, some bigger than others. The aasimar honestly didn't know what to make of the young half-drow. Turning to Cinder, he says, "I think that pitching camp is a good idea; our friend needs some patch work before he can continue on, and I am curious to see when this druid will catch up with us."

"I... I..." Biot looks at his hands as he tumbles around with his thumbs. "I guess I needed to punish myself for killing. I don't know what I can do to stop this hunger for killing" He said. And then he remembers what triggered is killing spree...
"I didn't kill the guard at the outpost! He was alive, I saw him in the outpost's prison. He and the captain both received a bag of gold from someone. I couldn't make out who it was. The captain then ordered his soldiers to kill me and as they approached I lost it. Somebody is trying to stop of from reaching our destination!"

Cinder was carefully collecting fire wood around the campsite they decided on. She was thinking about what Biot said about someone trying to stop them. A hawk glided in and rested on a sturdy branch. The bird was aware of her concerns he was cleaning his feathers and one dropped Cinder found it and looked up at the Hawks he cried out and Cinder listed to the wind the snow was still falling lightly. She dropped the feather in her pouch and carried the bundle of fire wood to the camp site. She filled Biot's cup again with the tea she had made for him. " This will should relax you and help with some of the discomfort of your wounds try and sleep Biot what's done is done the dark maid know you have a conchance about what you have done she will help you, we will all help you. " she said. " Verake I am certain that the druid will be here this evening, I have an idea about preventing the horses from getting worked up over her sent. I have a strong perfume i can rub into there upper lip and jaws it has a strong sent this may confuse them enough, it is worth a try, any other idea's?. " she asked as she aranged the fire wood and took out her fint.
What Biot told the mighty warrior both surprised him, and angered him at the same time. Veraka shook his head at the new revelation. Why the commander at the outpost would want to kill Biot, he didn't know; what he did know was that it was fortunate for the outpost and its men that they didn't attempt to seize either him or his companions that were in his sight.
"Oh they are very lucky that I didn't see them do that," Veraka muttered darkly, meaning every word of what he said. The dragon-scale armored warrior turned to Biot, saying "Don't be hard on yourself; I to share a similar affliction, my friend, so I believe that I understand your pain, but you can't continuously chastise yourself for something that you did not intentionally take on."
Veraka looked the young half-elf directly in the eye, his silver orbs radiating understanding; "Like you, Biot, I too did not choose the darker side that still resides deep within my soul, but I have no choice but to accept it, and use it. I don't take pride in unleashing my darker side upon others, but it, like my sword and armor, is a tool that I may use to help protect my friends, like you, Cinder, and the others, and that I may use to destroy my enemies. I don't like using it as a weapon but in many cases I have to."
"My point Biot, is this, don't blame yourself for something that you can't control. Don't be constantly berating yourself for something that was bestowed upon you without your approval,; doing so is just a waste of energy, and doesn't solve any problems."
Turning to Cinder, Veraka replied "well, if you can establish a link with the horses, I might be able to tell them that Aurora is my friend, and that I trust her with my life; plus being of celestial blood tends to lend give the animals that I communicate with a certain level of trust. It's up to you of course."
