Re: Rozdrurra
Despite the damage, the dire wolf is not to be deterred! With a graceful twist of her body, she pivots on her hind legs and charges into the next skeleton. Her fangs flash as she aims for the ribcage. With a brutal shake of her head, she intends to crush the old brittle bones.
For Mouxsie, timing is everything. The fairy weaves and dodges between the two skeletons, slipping just past their arm strikes, parrying one skeletons action to unwittingly attack it's partner. Trying to keep their attention focused on her alone, she uses her sharp reflexes to evade damage. She also attempts to make them over reach in strikes to throw them off balance.

The skeletons look upward as if in amazement at the flying human but then their attention turns back to hacking at the bothersome fairy.Bhaern Quel wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2025 2:19 pm The opportunity given, runs toward the skeletons and with those boots jumps over them . The jump clears over them about five foot and he lands about 20 feet from them. He looks to be if there are more coming.
Tarvis does manage to bring the last of the six skeletons out of the background within five ft behind him. The green glowing eyed skeleton has only a rusty shield in boney hand, intending to charge forward, to crush the human.
While Tarvis is contending with the last skeletal foe that keeps them trapped inside the heart of the city's cavern, the dog creates a cascade of rattling fragments from the second sentinel, showering the remaining of that three she fights, in its boney remains.
The last of the three undead that attacked the dire wolf frantically moves back and forth backing against the left side of the entryway wall. It moves closer, clacking its bony teeth in a soundless hiss of desperation. It lifts its sword, preparing to skewer the mutt through the chest with all its strength but only manges to deliver a swft slash and hack to the jugular of the wild dog causing its life blood to pool out onto the cobblestone floor. Time is short for the dog. Hopefully she can make an impact.

Well, always a spoiler. Mutters and looks at the charging pile of bonds , swings his sword to cut the leg bone to shatter its leg bone. The spins toward the one attacking the puppy, striking at its sword arm to break.

Re: Silent Slough
The dire wolf, fueled by instinct in its final moments, remains unrelenting. It stalks forward, muscles tense and poised, like a shadow of death itself. With one final, swift leap, she launches herself upon the last of her skeleton foes, clamping down on its skull.
With Tarvis' aid she is able to make an unhindered powerful twist. With a death wailing roar, the dire wolf attempts to shatter the skull into splinters and send the last remnant of the undead faction against her crashing to the ground.
Mouxsie continues to keep the skeletal sentinels fighting themselves in an effort to get a hit on her. The fairy looks up to see Tarvis at the end of the cavern battle field, taking down the gatekeeper and cheers him on.
Well done, You!

Re: Silent Slough
Tarvis attempt seems to have made an impact on the end of the battle. The skeleton's leg goes flying out the doorway and it's body falls on top of his leftover mate's torso.
The dire wolf is expiring. Best to say goodbyes now. She does crush the skull into bits that float over the surface of pooling blood.
The other two skeletons become aware they are the only ones left to fight. They turn away from each other, one swatting the fairy onto the ground, knocking her unconscious.

The target their thin necks.

Re: Goodnight Sweet Doggie
As the echoes of battle fade into silence, the dire wolf stands amidst the remains of its fallen foes, chest heaving, breaths visible in the cool night air. The magical illumination from above highlights her triumphant form, a warrior of nature, ready to continue its vigil against the darkness but unfortunately cannot. She disappears not by defeat, but with valor!
Mouxsie flinches in unconsciousness.

Picks up the fairy.
Little one , enough adventure yet?
Holding carefully, starts his way back to the entrance.
Any more surprises you have to offer me?
Clearly talking to the surroundings.

Re: Rozdrurra/Corridors of Power
Tarvis' blade strikes true. The headless skeletons wander around the corridors fumbling for..well...something. The two eventually fall apart somewhere inside the distant rooms.
Mousie will awaken in a few hours. So far, the exit seems free and clear. Though, in other rooms there is moaning and groaning from some disembodied spirits. Perhaps wailing for the loss of their hoarde members.
A snatch of melodious music gently beckons Tarvis attention. At his feet, against the wall, is a busted vessel of specially crafted coat of painted pottery. Blue white magical light seeps out of the cracks. The object seems to emit a strong "Turn Undead" frequency artificed into a pocket knife.
Might be best to leave as planned.

Looks at the broken pottery and knife and shrugs. He did not come to loot. It can stay where it is.
Moves carefully toward the entrance with as much speed as is safe, not wanting to run into a fight. The last battle was three , if there is a next one with only one harder to win. Once free of the cave will run full speed back to base.

Re:Rozdrurra
Tarvis can hear the moans growing even louder as if pursuing him. Once he reaches the opening of the city entrance it is nearing evening. The sky is growing darker. The breeze he once felt pulling him into the cavern is now pulling his clothing, as if encouraging him to leave. A tall shadow passes overhead, making the incomming darkness seem more immediate and the air far more cold. There is no body or mass attributing to creating it. The ground shakes violently. casting small rocks down from the high hill to the valley below.
A fireball races just passed Tarvis ear.

Yea, fireworks.
Wraps his cloak about him, wonders about the time shift , what should still be morning is eve, and runs with his boots to get clear of the area.
The cloak does make it hard for an eye to see or follow. One would need magic to track the run.

Turns to look at the eye of the needle, then down at the fairy to see how she is doing. Glances to the sky to see the time change.
