Adian took the time to put on his armor. Since it was quite light, it only took a minute or so.
"All right, then," he said. "Ready. Let's go."
It was almost humorous. Five-foot-two Adian against the giant Veraka. Adian in elven-woven chain with Veraka in his plate. Had it been a real fight, there was little doubt of the conclusion.
Adian pulled his bastard sword and spun it once as a warm-up. Despite its size compared to him, he moved it easily.

((wow, you were busy over the weekend. Time for me to catch up.
Cinder, your image looks a lot like your avatar looked on IMVU.))
Biot followed the group into the cave. He was very tired and went strait to sleep.
He awoke the next morning to the smell of bacon and the sound of the door opening. He saw Adian and Veraka going outside looking like they are going into battle. "Did I miss something while I was asleep?" He asked them. Not knowing why they were about to fight. The only thing he can think off that will start a fight out of nowhere is if it was over a girl...

"Lessons," Adian explained just before he attacked.
The dark elf was quite good despite his frustration with himself. He'd had skilled teachers. His problem seemed to be that he was having trouble integrating everything he knew into a seamless whole. He'd use a technique, there would be a moment of hesitation, and then he'd use another. His actions didn't flow...something that came from experience.
His other problem was a lack of experience on the battlefield. Veraka found that Adian could be maneuvered into positions of disadvantage...such as soft spots in the snow or get lured into attacking when he shouldn't. This was his blind spot...and a skilled swordsman would probably take him apart because of it.
Part of it was sheer size...he was smaller than most and an opponent could take advantage of that. He hadn't properly learned to compensate for it. Part seemed to be simply too much concentration on getting at the enemy instead of thinking tactically. Before combat he was fine, able to come up with decent strategies, but in combat he had trouble making good decisions.

Wile Cinder was asleep with the big cat her mind and the cats seemed to meld together she could see her playing in the snow with a drow and sleeping on the rug they were on now with a male drow at the table writing in a journal. Cinder awoke suddenly and looked out the door to see Adain and Verake sparing vigorously.
Cinder decided she would have a look at the mushroom growing near the spring with Pwdn. There was a bit of a variety of all that could be eaten. There was a spongy fungus growing that was often used for cleansing the skin and soothing musles with a strong extract within. Pwdn and Cinder picked 3 different kinds of mushrooms and decided to make a mushroom based stew there were some carrots and turnip in the supplies and Cinder had some herbs that would add flavour to the mushroom broth. They cut up the mushrooms after cleaning them and Pwdn started cooking them in butter and some spices she found in the cupboards will Cinder cut up the carrots turnips and what ever else they could find to add in.
Soon Pwdn had a rich broth cooking and put in the cut up vegetables. She expanded on the bisuits so oce again there was plenty. " I love that trick of yours Pwdn do you think you can do the same with these scrapes of ham for Aurora and our kittie cat?"
" Biot why don't you dip into the hot spring it really is a great feeling there is a spongie fungus there you can use. The spring seems to have a magical quality very nice."

Once Adian was ready and he gave the ok, the two launched themselves into a near full-on battle. Adian was good with his sword and wielded it effectively despite its size.
At the young paladin's first move, Veraka parried the low incoming blow, underestimating the young paladin's speed. Keeping his sword up and blocking the young drow's blade, Veraka jumped back for some breather room.
It was when the aasimar started to execute some of his more advanced moves that he saw what Adian had yet to learn of. Veraka hated to do this, but he only saw one way that his fellow paladin was going to learn how to use sword as an extension of his body and will.
Gripping Marala Vharc with two hands, Veraka charged Adian at full speed, his face that of fighter in real combat.
Veraka swung with all his might at the young drow, Marala Vharc cutting through the air, yelling "DODGE!!" The adamantine blade cut through the air where Adian's helmet had been; had the young drow hesitated for even one second, he would've had one helluva headache.
Veraka then brought Marala Vharc up and over his shoulder in an overhead powered arc attack. Adian looked up at him for a split second, before Veraka hollered "ROLL!!"
The drow paladin dove out of Marala Vharc's path as it came down and crunched into snow-covered ground. Had Adian not dodged, he would have been cleaved in half by the sheer power behind the blow.
Veraka got a look of confusion and worry from the drow.
"Good, my friend; very good. You need to keep in mind that in battle, your enemy is going to be out to kill you, nothing more and nothing less. THAT is the reason why I am using blows that would be used in a real fight. I've found that over the years, and from those who I have trained, the best teacher in training is when your actually trying to inflict damage to the opponent."
Reversing his swing in a split second, the aasimar brought his sword around in diagonal arc-slash, screaming "BLOCK!!" to the young drow.
A resounding 'CLANNGGG!!' made Veraka give a nod of approval to his trainee. Adian's bastard sword had met Marala Vharc in mid-swing, sparks arching off of the two swords as they hit. Veraka felt resistance in Adian's blade; "good, bring every once of strength you can muster into every blow, block, or parry."
Despite what Veraka could see to be sweat forming on his brow, he continued, pressing his blade into maneuvers that he found basic, working Adian into a near helpless defensive, but every attack that Veraka threw, Adian, either blocked or moved aside, out of the way.
Going through move after move, Veraka finally brought his sword around in 360 degree powered swing; "COUNTER!!" he yelled to Adian; the young drow ducked below the swing, launched his sword into a powered blow, and there was a resounding 'CLANG!!'. Adian's sword was against Veraka's bracer.
"Very good."

Cinder and Pwdn listen to the ringing and clanging out side
Pwdn had dinner simmering in a large pot. Biot was soaking peacefully in the spring.
" Lets go sit on top the cave and watch it will be nice to get out side "
Cinder dressed in her fur boats and jacket with a fur hood she fond her hide leggings and slid her daggers into her boots just in case
She knew that just by watching she could learn.
She climbed onto the roof with the friendly kitty cat and watched the training in progress.
She was fast with her daggers and bow but did not know much about swords.
Verake was a very skilled fighter and Adain was extraordinarily quick.
She watched quietly hoping to learn what ever she could.

(dont hate me. they move fast *point out the guilty*
but u been cooking and stuff basically i think is what cinder wrote. im NPCing a snow leopard for a bit, till i head off to haiti. a few are sword playing. someone's in the tub again. thats the basics...))
she didnt understand why they wanted to hit each other with shiney sticks. but she watched as well as kept on guard. she often looked to the druidess next to her then back to the two below.
finally she asked, "what yall doing here? yall mark this as your territory?"

"kitty cat? is that what i am called?"
the leopard hadnt been given a name. well, she remembered her mother saying "NO" alot. maybe thats what she was supose to be called.
being the runt was rough, but she had been the adventurous one. first into trouble and last out of it.
oh well.
she purred as cinder's dark hand rubbed down her smoky colored fur. her teal eyes showing her enjoying the attention. she got an idea and jumped up from her perch and slinked around the group, her fur perfect for blending into the snow.
she circled around to the back side of the smaller dark humaniod. her rump up, head on her feet she readied for a moment, when they had paused and stopped wacking at each other, then playfully pounched.
if they can play why not her.

Adian was breathing hard and enjoying evering minute of it. After a new more exchanges, he began to see the patterns in Veraka's stances and moves that broadcast his action. He began to counter more quickly, trying to anticipate the aasimar's commands and warnings.
"DUCK!" The great sword came about again and Adian dove out of the way. The force of it created a small gale that whipped Adian's hair as he escaped. He was beginning to tire...and the big warrior had much more stamina. It was time to attack.
So when the sword came around again, and the large palidin roared to "ROLL!", Adian didn't. Instead he bought up his own weapon and deflected the blade upwards. Veraka was too seasoned a warrior to be put off by that for long, so Adian turned the same movement into a swing that...missed. Veraka had moved out of the way faster than the elf had expected him to.
Worse, he got a plated elbow to the face for his trouble.
Adian's eyes teared up instantly and blood flew from his nose. He staggered back, his sword held up defensively while he recovered his wits.
The big warrior didn't give him the chance. Instead he hacked at Adian's defense, the only saving grace being the dark elf's manuverablility. Once he was able to recover his equilibrium, he went back to obeying the aasimar's shouted commands again.
Where had he gone wrong, he wondered.
(Oops...didn't see the cat post until much later.)
EDIT: As Adian recovered his balance, he was suddenly buried in white fur. The leopard had knocked him over and was happily wrestling him into the snow. He raised his arms to fend her off, but that only made her more eager to play.

Biot got into the hot spring, his muscles instantly relaxing. He could feel the pain draining away. He closed his eyes and fell asleep. But he didn't have dreams like the rest... When he woke all he could remember is blackness.
He heard Cinder calling Kitty-Cat outside. He got out of the water dried himself in front of the fire and put his clothes back on. He went outside standing there while he studied the 2 fighters fighting techniques.
