Looks closer and draws his sword at mention of giant spider.

The vibe, might make that a Drider. At least good to know you sense no wards. So onward to face a spider, I hope. We hope to find information to show if this place is safe now or still a source of danger.. We are not here to loot pottery

Steps closer to the signs of the web.

Re: Corridors of Power

Beyond the web curtain, inside the orc ruins are remnants of a once great orcan empire. Sadly, now it would appear to be an ancient cave system inhabited only by lost spirits of times past. Splatches of moss and litchen hide in the dark stone walls that portray decorations of chiseled Orc runes. Drips of moisture echo somewhere from deeper within. A faint waft of stale air in a place where the orcish battle songs never to be heard again. One can almost feel a deep sense of sadness and great loss. The constant drip of water is like a fading heartbeat.

As the scouts turn a narrow corner they find torches lighting up vast corridor. Light pours drown from the ceiling onto the cobblestone path, not from the sun alone but by a magical substance embedded in crystals from a second story of the cavern.

Walks further in, looking for signs of records or life. Right now would settle for the spider running and hiding. It will not be possible to explore all the rooms, just getting a sense of how safe or dangerous the place is. The lighted path is interesting, but not signs of life. Those torches could have been lit 100 years ago.

We should report back soon. They will be worried other wise. Or more worried the longer we are here

There might be something at the end of it, however how much time would it take to find.

Ya gotta be coddin' me. The porch lanterns are lit but no one at home? Tch, reckon this place is a lot bigger than we thought. Would take days to take a good gander around here.

Her buzzing wings bring her to stay at Tarvis' back. Mouxsie looks at the opposite hallway.
The light from the center proving handy to see into the other spaces. The fairy shades her tiny eyes with one hand.

See anything, me laddine?

Image Tarvis, stretched out before him is a hallway with burning candles leading to a room with large pond and bridge leading to even more doorways.

Mouxsie, in the fairy's direction is another room that appears to lead to another cavern system with a quartz crystals, a waterfall and ancient elven style ruins.

My friend there are rooms, water and lily plants , nothing of value to inform. Unless you see something, time to return to the others.

Aye, me be thinking the same. We're just on a scout mission. Some pretty crystals and fey light, waterfall, elf structures, a bit like Feywild, but not.

The fairy turns around to face Tarvis again.

It will take us a while to return anyways.

Standing behind them, blocking the way back out, are the undead hosts awaiting the departure of their uninvited guests. Image

Well dying time, because this will not work

Tosses a rock at the skeletons with the slight hope they will fight each other as one myth says. With sword ready in right hand reaches to his belt with left to a pouch on his belt. The sword not the best weapon to break bones, but is the weapon in hand. If the simple bones undead not much a potion or herb can effect for that matter most undeed can not battle that way. A few tricks might win free from them, but sheer numbers will be hard to beat, unless the fairy has a trick.

Cripes! We need a distraction!

Mouxsie strums the harp on her necklace, creating a strange tone.
A dire wolf materializes between the fairy, Tarvis, and the undead.

The skeletons look toward the rock, watch as it rolls away. Their green glowing eyes turn back to the to scouts with jawbones clanking together as if it were laughter.

The skeletons stop laughing at the appearance of the dire wolf. Three skeletons surround the large dog. Two skeletons with swords drawn, charge toward Tarvis and Mouxsie.

Re: Dire Wolf

The dire wolf prowls forward in anticipation with muscles rippling beneath a thick coat of salt and pepper colored fur. Her eyes glow with a red-orange eyeshine, reflecting primal and predatory intelligence as she keeps sight of the three undead skeletal sentinels shambling about her, each rattling ominously as they move.
With a powerful leap, the dire wolf surges into action, a dark blur against the down turned, magical light. She targets the nearest skeleton. Her growl pierces the hollow of the cavern with her echo as she closes distance in an instant. With a ferocious snap of her powerful jaws, the direwolf lunges, clamping down on the bony shoulder of the skeleton and pressing her full weight against it.

The sheer force sends shards of bone flying as it tares away an arm, the creature stumbles backward in a futile attempt to maintain balance which in turn causes it to fall hard. The upper half of it's undead body rumbles on the cavern cobblestone floor with sword still drawn. Though the effort maybe futile, it keeps trying to scoot forward to continue to fight.

The remaining two skeletons, taken aback by their comrade's sudden partial dismemberment, raise their rusty weapons high, moving in for the kill from opposite sides of the dog, trading bloodletting lashes at the dire wolf's sides.

Mouxsie decides its now or never. She thrust her wings to move in the same way as she arrived. With her grand speed and agility, the little fairy darts between the two skeletons attacking her and Tarvis. She winds her tiny body around their heads like a hornet ready to put on the sting.

The opportunity given, runs toward the skeletons and with those boots jumps over them . The jump clears over them about five foot and he lands about 20 feet from them. He looks to be if there are more coming.
