Lyon plucked away at the strings of the lute and was soon playing a lovely old song.
the cave was filled with beautiful sounds from the lute.
Cinder was amazed " why Lyon what a mistrial yu have hidden there inside " she looked into the trunk and found a wooden barrel with a cork. She unclasped her dagger from its case on her calf and delicately popped the cork. She smelt what was inside taking a deep breath " oh my this is truly divine wine. " She smiled with a rise of her brow. " Take a wif of that Adain if you will..I was hoping to find a reason to use thows lovely crystal flasks "
she giggled.

Of coarse I admire him Verake as i do you, it is just that I was trying to say, is that i have been trained for something very specific by a very magical knight he has deep insights. It was only a mater of time before our paths would cross. There are events in the world that will take place and there are throws who choose to be ready for them, and sometimes the events choose though who will do there bidding if they are so inclined." Cinder pour out three flasks of vine " good wine and smiled and there is no since letting such a good wine go to waste. As matter of fact that old magician may have left if just for us i think he was aware of events to come. And what do yu say to that. " she smelt the wine in a deep breath once more " I don't think Frad and our mistrial wants any though she joked.
"Hmmm, sounds like you've had a certain path set out before you, and you've accepted it without complaint nor haste. Impressive, I wish I had learned that from my teacher so many years ago. To take what life throws at with a grain of salt."
Aurora came over and plopped down next to Veraka, resting her massive head on his legs and letting him scratch her behind the ears with his armored hand.

" Well i think we are all here for a reason my friend be it the task at hand or one far greater there are throws that know the plans for the world and it is never to late to make a choose. Just being who you are you have made a choose to be a force for good and it is clear you are very committed to that as am I as is Adain as is Pdwn and who know who else. It is not un common for throws of like mind sent to be brought together for an event of the gods making." Cinder tapped his glass and Adains with hers and sipped her wine " And i think you must have a great teacher if your father is an ach angel, sometimes they can be more settle."
At hearing Cinder's comment about his father being an archangel, Veraka's face grew very still; "Cinder, you've no idea how much I wish my father had been an archangel. But sadly it was him that was killed when I was no more than an infant," his voice was shaky; "I even remember watching my father fight off three orc raiders just to keep them away from me and another family. He died that day, trying to save my life, and he succeeded."
"I never knew who my mother was until I was accepted into service under Bahamut; for it was Bahamut himself who revealed such information to me. From the moment I gained that knowledge, I've always wondered, why did my mother abandon me and my father to our fates; every time I think about this, I become angry at her for my fathers death. Perhaps that anger is part of the reason why the berserker exists, but I don't know for sure."
Aurora looked up from his lap; [i:3aagwe21]you never told me that you were angry with your mother in that way.[/i:3aagwe21]
He looked to Aurora; "it was not something that I felt I could share up until Cinder mentioned my father."

"But...heroes get admirers," Adian said. "Heroes of legend and destiny get people trained to help them. I'm just..."
He was about to say that he was "just Adian", but he realized at the last moment how stupid that was. He wasn't "just Adian". He was a young drow who had specific gifts given to him by his goddess. Surely she had meant for there to be something that she wanted him to do.
"...a far cry from any of that," he finished. "You saw me in our last fight...I almost got killed twice because of my inexperience. If you're looking for some kind of 'hero of destiny', then you have to be looking at the wrong person. Compared to nearly everyone here...I'm only marginally competent. Veraka or Pdwn might better qualify for your service."

" I am so sorry to hear this great loss Verake " She said taking his hand from across the table. I too understand loss I knew nothing of my father and my mother was not around much . But i did have my grandmother who cared for me. Although it is never the same. It is hard Verake not to judge your mother we all do things we regret and perhaps you don't know the whole story or never will understand even if you did know. I am sure she loved you this is clear yu would not have such a solid base and grounding in such positive and clear goodness, as hard as it is we should not question the gods or why they let things happen. I know how hard that is believe me i have a bit of a berserker of my own. I do have some teas and herbs that can help Verake the power of the earth is very strong, and there is something to be said for such a good wine taken of coarse in moderation. If ever you need something to relax just ask me. Sometimes it helps with meditation and calming of the mind and body. There is defiantly a soothing quality about that hot spring, it is said that springs are some times portals to other world." Cinder carefully choose a nut from the bowl on the table and sipped her wine.
Feeling his armored hand being grasped, the aasimar looked up to Cinder from across the table and shook his head; "I can understand how that is with what my mother and how she might have had her reasons; but I just can't . . .let go of that memory of my father taking a death blow from a dying orc that was meant for me, and yet he continued to fight, despite his critical wounds."
"I just don't understand the why of it; my own father sac'd himself to make sure that I lived onward, and yet my mother, who swore to protect the both of us, was nowhere to be seen," he said through his light sobs, "I mean who does that to their own child, let's them watch their only parent take on impossible odds and die for them. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE," he fumed, looking up at Cinder with his radiant silver eyes, though they weren't of anger, they glistened with tears of remorse and confusion.

Adain I did not choose you as my hero, you are touched by the maiden you know that much. She has a task in mind for you pertaining to events that only gods and the prophets of the gods know, perhaps some day you will be one of her prophets but for sure there is a task involved in an event that you are to rise to this challenge, perhaps Verake here is also involved that is for him to find within himself. i know already I have know for years and i was almost positive the first time i saw you it was you but only time revelled it to me as it was said it would."
Cinder took a deep breath and sipped her wine again. I don't know about you but that hot spring is calling me again who will jion me??" Verake " Cinder said walking to the spring unclasped her garment and slide in relaxing into the soothing waters. "guilt is non productive it is simple he loved you like most parents do love there children it is just what parents do. being that he is an ach angle I am sure he has ways to communicate with you it you can hear a wolf do you think you can't speak to your father. you must learn, maybe i can teach you a bit about that. he can still teach you , but you must let go of your anger toward your mother. her blood is yours as is your fathers. you simply have to except this. or you will only cause a block between yu father and you."
Oh yes Aroura there is a feline out there she may have ran off would you like to go play with her ??
Only if you promise not to hurt her. ok
Cinder soaked and grew tired fast she pulled a freash dress over her heag and when to the fire with a blanket and had a nap.

The mighty aasimar let out a long breath, "sure maybe the waters, will calm my nerves."
As he unsheathed his armor, Veraka looked over at Adian who was fuming about his ability with his sword that it was as is, and how he wanted to improve it.
"Adian, I know that you know a decent bit about swordplay and fighting with a blade, but perhaps I could teach you some moves and counter strikes with your blade, if you wish."
Putting his armor down, Veraka dipped into the pool with his tunic and shorts still on, not caring if they got wet; they're both quick dry anyways.
"I just can't understand why my mother would abandon my father and I to our fates, but. . . " he let out a sigh, "maybe she was commanded by her god to stay her hand. If that was the case, then perhaps my anger is ill-founded. I suppose that is why I care so much about children in general, not caring about race or gender. If a child is threatened, I make it my number one priority to see them safe from harm; I refuse to see any child or infant brought to harm." He stopped and thought to himself about Cinder's offer.
"You would really help me try and communicate with my father, whose been dead for over 24 years?" he asked Cinder as he let the springs water relax his nerves, venting his frustration for him rather than having him do it.

Adian shrugged and joined them in the spring. There wasn't much room left between them all.
"I would certainly appreciate anything you could teach me," Adian said. "I was trained, but not all of it comes as naturally to me as I might wish it to.
"As for your mother and father..." Adian knew he was stepping into hazardous territory here. His adopted family had been the elders of the Promenade...and he could not imagine one of them betraying any of the others. "Perhaps the threat to you and she was greater than you knew...or that [i:3sbgn30t]someone[/i:3sbgn30t] had to escape with you to keep you alive. I cannot begin to guess at what her motivations could have been.
"It cannot have been something that was done lightly," he added. "I find it difficult to believe that she would thoughtlessly abandon you, or do so on a whim. I do not know her, but her nature was that of the higher planes was she not? If that is so, then there had to have been a compelling reason."

"Alright, then Adian; I don't know about my style, but I could definitely show you some moves that I've learned over the years."
Veraka looked to Adian, and replied "Maybe; but who would would want the son of an archangel? It makes no sense. I can understand the power that sometimes I wield, but to abandon me and my father to whatever fate had in store for us. I just can't fathom why she would leave me and my father to such a fate."
He looked to Adian, while I can understand that my mother was an archangel and she is a native of the higher planes, does that mean that she has to sacrifice her own son and husband on the whim of a god or other being. I know that I'll be damned before I do likewise to my own son or daughter and wife, should I ever have a family. Perhaps that is why I serve the Dragon-Father, because it is within his dogma to protect ones family and serve justice all the same. I would [b:2v8wbh4u]never[/b:2v8wbh4u] sacrifice my own love of my life and my own progeny on the whim of someone else, even my own god; Fortunately, though I do not believe Bahamut is that kind of god."

" Verake did you ever think that maybe the suffering of the loss of your father and mother was meant as a means to have you grow into what you have become which is an amazing man, and to test your straight's. From suffering is the greatest teacher of all, if you rise to the occasion and so is forgiveness that is why you must for give your mother she acted not the whims of her god but his command as she should. Cinder said in a half sleeping state " That water sure relaxes,my whole body and mind is in complete bliss" she said gazing into the fire from the bear rug. " And i could use some training with a sword verake. althow the storm has claimed down i don't think it is finished. Maybe we could go out in the deep snow. I rember a training sesion in snow as deep having to try and be light on my feet the funny thing is my trainer used a snow leapard as an example. I was training with my daggers thow"
