I'm beginning to wonder if these Draeglolths were the children of the priestesses... not the first time species mixed..." Thinking" I know my house.. we bejeweled ours. well the women did.. they had bangles as well. As our zealous fervor for the spider queen the adornments were like webs and with stones.. some had small spiders on them. The magic users used those spiders frequently.. ingenious really." Shaking his head" Both by the looks of it.. unfortunately I'm far behind on the house names.. Baenre it isn't. They would have done much more than this... I am sure of this." Looking to them" We should just take all of this burn the bodies and get moving. They could have scouts... I'm thankful it was just the priestesses and not the other magic classes. Else we would have a lot of problems."

"Zek; Draeglolths are the direct byproduct of a priestess of Lolth and Glabrezu Ta'nari; and wo, wo, wo, back up; you mean to tell me that your former house bred these pieces of s***?" Veraka asked, gesturing to the dead half-demons.

He shook his head laughing some" Hardly, they made the necklaces, only some not all of them. My mother and sisters were purists. We believed that if you are to achieve dominance you did so without producing flawed objects. You are a drow, you do things to strengthen the house. Not Cripple it by relying on a Draeglolth for defense or be the muscle. My mother's seen those tactics fail. She would probably rather have taken to an Illithid for such matters. Even then I doubt she would. A dragon I can see perfectly, they're ancient beings with fonts of power. Tapping into that by your children having dragon blood, even if the physical appearance is changed, they are far superior to your Drow kin." Shrugging" Personally I believe that if my family escaped the under dark they left a path of blood in their wake. I know for a fact if anyone in the family created a Draeglolth my mother would hunt them down and slaughter both the mother and the fiend. I would as well as it is a disgrace to my blood and family. No matter what the spider queen says or allows."

"wizards aint allowed on the surface in general. at least it was the rule in the city I visited. still dont know why any one would mate with such ugly things. drow love beauty, why keep these around and call them kids? at least my house aint as messed up as these. and yes, Zek's right, you do by whatever means." she was fully aware of what Jaelre did, inluding the attacks and attempts to take the old elven court.
"I wonder how many dragon blooded there are?"

when looting was done, the bodied were dragged to a spot and piled up. Inrii was more careful this time, and just threw the fire ball at the pile along with Zarstra. she went abd picked up her pack and walked over to the loot as it was sorted out.

Nodding" Each city has their own small rules it seems.. Of course there is the universal one. And all rules are made to be broken." To that he just grinned slightly." Drow only create such things for necessity.. then again a mother usually loves their child regardless.. Do not forget The drow of the underdark love the spider queen.. so to speak. Personally out of the more evil ones.. I would rather worship Kiaransalee, I do not say this lightly. My younger sister had contemplated this a few times when I had spoken to her. With her work as a Warlock, the temptation to become a Necromancer was there. As for the dragonborn? There's probably more than you think.. Deep Dragons, Shadow Dragons, if I remember a few Drow based dragons which to me fall under the prior two. Either way, it is safe to say that the drow seek to perfect themselves so they can conquer."

Packing up his stuff he went through some of the loot taking a couple small trinkets that were old drow things. In a sense showing his age with some of them. It was there that he discovered a ring which he plucked out. Pure silver ring with intricate dragon patterns over it. He didn't say anything but slid it on his right index finger silently.

((I was under the impression that true Dragonborn were a race in their own right, vs. one, like the both of ya, having dragon-blood following through their veins; because Dragonborn, the race, look way different.))

"Glad to see that all of see eye-to-eye on at least one subject," Veraka said. He put the unusual dagger away, along with the three enchanted neck pieces. He had a feeling that he was going to need them later.
"Well, shall we be on our way; I don't know about you, but my legs could use a good run."

((4th edition theirs a dragonborn race...they look like they should be half dragon instead. i chose to have dragon blood in me b/c it is often the sourse of a sorcerers power. so it makes a better story))

"of course their meant to be broken. aint that the point of rules?" (the chaotic nature in her says) "we have some from Jaezred Chaulssin apart of Jaelre."
she tossed the leftover stuff in her pack. whistling for the horse, Midnight came running. Inrii pick up Zarstra and set her in the pocket.
"your gunna run all the way?" she called to the warrior, while doing stretches and other (gymnastic/acrobatic type) moves.
"you wanna ride front or back?" asking Zek.

Turning to the stretching sorceress, Veraka replied, "I'll run for as long as it takes Aurora to heal fully." With that he proceeded to do warm-ups (jumping/leg stretches), saying "Don't think me unable to run for extended periods of time; besides the stubbornness and flaring temper, it pays sometimes to be trained by the Uthgardt."

Packing up his stuff he got all his bags in place and looked to Veraka" Well good, cause I'm sure we'll be running for sometime." Looking to her he tapped his chin and signed' Such an interesting proposal with tons of questions. Which do you feel more comfortable with?"

"possibly into inhospitable places too. barbarians? might explain much."
signing back, well if you can control the horse, you can ride in front. but it doesnt matter to me. he listens well enough now. /color]
she rubbed Midnights nose and neck and gave him a few berries and the last couple to Zarstra.

Veraka merely bowed at Inrii's comment about him being trained by barbarians. He finished with warm-ups and turned to Aurora; [i:rhsae08q]will you be able to run, or will I have to carry you?[/i:rhsae08q]
[i:rhsae08q]Cute,[/i:rhsae08q]she replied, all venom; [i:rhsae08q]as to your first point, I don't think my injuries will hinder me, though I won't be able to carry much in terms of load.

That's ok; most of the stuff I ususally carry anyways, remember.[/i:rhsae08q] Veraka finished.
She merely nodded.
"Well, whenever you two are done discussing the finer points of riding, I think we'll be ready," he said, picking up his pack.

Inrii hopped on the horse (behind Zek or first.)

"why in such a hurry? or do yall live such short lives you have to be?"
she knew half drows live shorter lives than drow. and humans get old as they become an official adolescence.

[veraka]

" I honestly don't know what my physical body age rate is, but I'm pretty sure it's more than you give it credit for; as to being in a hurry; I'm not, it's just I find that when moving, an enemy has a harder time keeping tabs on you."

He looked at her and shook his head and chuckled" I prefer keeping alive and less encounters." He climbed up on the horse as well and took the reigns and looked back to her" Ready?" Looking at Veraka" I like your logic there. More we move the better."

"I'm just pointing out the tactical flaw in remaining in one location to long, but thanks, none the less," Veraka said back to Zek; b this time, Aurora was on her paws and ready to move.
