[i:39hbtc5d]Looks to the other male drow, "I have absolutley nothing against women, friend. I just wish to offer everyone a fair chance at victory. As far as I'm concerned, she and the gnome can do battle in the first round, and you and I can face one another, but who would that leave for the finals?"
He would then turn to look at the lady again, "No offense meant to you in that last statement m'lady, I was just expressing the fact that I care less who I face in battle. I've faced many enemies in all shapes and sizes over my two hundred and twenty plus years, but I've never faced a woman. That's the reason I picked you as my oppenent. If you best me fine, that will teach me a very good lesson. Just because it's a woman that looks at you from the field of battle, doesn't mean that she can't beat you fair and square. On the other hand, if I were to best you, then I wouldn't see it as a defeat, just as another lucky contest in which I happened to be better. If my words happen to offend you lady, then I appologize for them."
He would then look the gnome, "What say you about me facing the lady? Or do you care as long as the contest gets under way?"
After speaking to the gnome, he would look back to the male,"Would you care to toss the daggers, since you seem to object to my request to fight the lady? If not, then I ask yet again, let me face the lady, since it will be a first, other than the clerics of Llolth. Which I despise and would rather cut them down as to look at them." He would then wait for the answer of all three before making any moves, or waisting his breath on unneeded explanations.[/i:39hbtc5d]

*Roondar stidies the other three looking for strengths and weanesses in each. While it might be interesting to learn of the skills of others in throwing daggers, there are two reasons to decline. One was in seeing others skills, they would also see his. The other he voices* You make it a contest for a female, she to be the prise in a contest. Nay I will not contest to win her.
I propose instead one of two options. The first is to let the female decide whom she would contest with first.
The secound being that we go in some order, first to sign up vs, 2nd. Or by order of names.

*Rooky listens at the argument.*
- C'mon guys. Let's go by skill. The one who's got the most skill go first.
To me it's all the same who goes first.
*Goes off to pick up a pole matching the size and weight of the greatsword wondering when the hells did chivalry show it's face in this god forsaken world.*
- And no, you didn't insult me. I heard worse.

[i:3i8jh1lr]Would look to the gnome and the woman, "Both of you have offered good suggestions. I say we go with the sign in order. Since you and I signed in first," he says looking at the gnome,"It seems we'll face one another." He then looks to the drow male, and you and the lady will face one anohter. Does any one have any objections to this, or shall we get down to cases?" He asks as he takes the two poles back in hand and awaits their responses, preparing himself mentally for the challenge at hand.[/i:3i8jh1lr]

*Roondar steps to the enterance of the fighting pit, eyes glancing back to the two Drow and the Human* I agree. *steps into the area and taking one of the fake daggers in right hand awaits for his foe, whomever it might be to enter. The four other daggers, if they can be called that, must be inferred to be hidden or discarded as they are not detectible by eye where they might be on the small creature.*

[i:2gzhrcd2]Follows the gnome into the pit, moving to the far side and offering a bow. As he rises from the bow, eh crouches a bit, coiling his body for an attack from the gnome, ready to dodge what ever may come at him, if it's at all avoidable. He then starts circling the pit, keeping his eyes focused on the gnome, all the while, his minds planning things out for attack and defense strategy. The two bastard sword length poles in his hands seem to be held rigidly, yet at any given time, he can snap them around almost as of they were an extension of his arm.[/i:2gzhrcd2]
OoC: the thing I said about cheating earlier has been revised. As long as you don't bring real weapons into this contest, any magic or knowledge of battle that you have at your disposal is allowed.

OOC: had hope Rooky would comment, act if just to watch,
IC: *Qhell enters the pit fully, not hearing any objection from the other Drow or the femalr, wonders at the rules some as a blade to the thoat indeed should kill or disable enough that a final blow can be struck, Wood however will not disable, unless very well thrown. Roondar bows in return to Qhell.* So it begins.
*The steps are slower then yours as Roondar also starts to circle the pit, trying to guage your strengths and weakness. The long blades carried of couese a consideration for dealing with close combar, perhaps being short enough a blade could be laid against the groin, that qould asure the death of most. Getting under the defenibg blade though a problem.
The left hand flicks and a blade aims for the throat, quickly followed from the same hand toward the groin, close combate to be avoided id posible.*

OoC:you and I were both waiting for Rooky to post something, Bhaern
[i:2h1t0f03]Would watch the gnomes movements even closer as he started to circle the pit himself, his eyes staying on the hand that held the dagger. As the first of the thrown weapins comes flying at his throat, he would bring the "blade in his left hand up, deftly knocking it from the air. Noticing that the gnome had thrown a second dagger at him, the "blade" in his right hand would move just in time to knock it from its desired course, yet not deflect it completely, as it strikes the outside of his left leg. Affecting a slight limp in his movements, Quel would continue to circle, not letting any hint of his planned attack show upon his face or in his movements as his, blades go back into a defensive position. At the last moment, while he's still circling the pit, Quel rolls foward, bringing one blade in high, aimed at the left shoulder, while the other sweeps in from the side, directly toward Roondars mid-section. If the one attack pays off, then the gnomes left arm will be useless, and if the other pays off, then the battle will be over, unless of course, the nimble little gnome can manage to dodge both.[/i:2h1t0f03]

OOC: *Runs into the room panting*
Sorry guys, my dad got his hands on my labtop. It's gonna be a wild night, this one...
IC:
*Rooky watches the two contestants gather up in the ring. She takes her big stick with her and moves off to where she'll get a good view, and some comfort*
OOC: Well I can't put a lady on a rock can I now?

OOC: Why not?
*Xandar appears unimpressed by the agile and dexterous movement. Then again, he also is a drow. He moves back down to the ground, where he starts practicing with the apparently less-familiar-than-usual weapon combination of short sword and longsword in his left and right hands, respectively. He makes sure that he can still see the present combatants from where he practices.*

*There are advantages to being small, that many forget to consider. Th blades already having to swing low in order to hit Roondar, can not hit at all when a very simple thing is done. Roondar sits down and the blades swing over his head and misses his shoulder, the held dagger slashes out at Quel's legs as his forward motion of the tumble should bring them into reach. The is a risk the Drow might be able to stop quick enough, however Roondar is counting on ending up behind the Drow by virtual of him having to tumble over him to avoid the dagger slash.*
