At the bar the man with the tray nods politely and motions towards the drow lady . She nods and walks serenly towards the bar.
[t:14by7mhg]"I must go and tend to our new customer."
[t:14by7mhg]The man with the tray says, and adds,
[t:14by7mhg]"I am certain Lady Akordia will be able to see to all your needs."
[t:14by7mhg]He then hurries towards the man in plate.Lady Akordia sits beside the man who had asked for her.
[t:14by7mhg]"Welcome to the Sunstone Mask."
[t:14by7mhg]Lady Akordia says, the accent of the drow still prominent in her speech, though her common is impeccable.
[t:14by7mhg]"So tell me, sir,"
[t:14by7mhg]She continues,
[t:14by7mhg]"What would you enjoy? I tell a fine tale, and also have a large collection of riddles."
[t:14by7mhg]Meanwhile, a large guard is approaching the man who gave his name as Synthro. He is dressed as extravagantly as the rest of the people employed at this tavern, in shiney black leathers that must have cost a fortune.
[t:14by7mhg]"The Lady Liliana will see you now. Merely follow me."
ooc..your going upstairs Synthro we will take this up in pm...
[t:14by7mhg]Closer to the fire, where the drow lady sits. The man with a tray who had been speaking with her speaks to three young ladies who nod and dissapear into the kitchens. When they return they are carrying three bottles of wine and some glasses. They carry them over to the drow lady sitting by the fire.
[t:14by7mhg]One of the ladies is a red headed human woman, another a blonde tiefling, the third is a regal looking wood elf. The red headed woman speaks up,
[t:14by7mhg]"I am Jasmine. The server told us that you would like a glass of wine. If you like we can play a game with it. "
[t:14by7mhg]Jasmine smiles and pours a glass for you from each of the bottles, which you may notice have no labels.

A choking noise comes from the veil which, after a moment could be realised to be a laugh. "Very well then, tell me a riddle." Rasps Selvik. "My name is Selvik, Selvik the Thrice Damned and I am very pleased to meet you."

[t:1178cddj]"Well met, Selvik. Pray forgive me if I leave off the damned, for unfortunate it would be to be damned once, much less three times. Then here is your riddle..The rich man has none of this, the poor man much, and if you eat of it you shall die."

*The drow lady returns the smile to Jasmine, and starts politely*
It's a pleasure to meet you Jasmine. My name is Zareari Det'tar. I am a preistess of Eilistraee. You sparked my interest. What is this game you have?
*She smiled politely to the two girls in the back, suggesting that they're company is not unwanted*

Selvik laughs/chokes loudly at this. "Hah, but a chestnut. Your answer is "Nothing", but it is a little antiquated when it is told to me." He seems genuinely amused that you chose this as your opening riddle. "Perhaps I might ask you one?"

[t:10xx91kw]By the fire, Jasmine motions away the other two ladies who set down their goblets and wine bottles and leave with a smile and a nod.
[t:10xx91kw]"Ah..the game,"
[t:10xx91kw]Jasmine says,
[t:10xx91kw]"I will pour you a glass from each of these bottles. What you must do is tell me which of the wines is the oldest vintage."
ooc...if you have stats for this character make an intelligence roll, unless of course you have ranks in a knowledge that pertains. If you dont have stats simply make something up..
[t:10xx91kw]At the bar, Akordia smiles,
[t:10xx91kw]"Do tell me your riddle sir, and if I get it right, then I get to ask you a harder one.I always start out with the easiest riddles, I find it the best way to judge my opponent."
The door of the inn opens, and in walks a young human man. He was quite handsome, yet both his skin and hair were white. His indigo eyes scanned the room calmly, never seeming to rest on anyone much longer than anyone else.
.[/quote:limukj16]

[t:limukj16]The man with the tray apporaches the new customer.
[t:limukj16]"Welcome to the Sunstone Mask, sir. If you would like a companion, simply choose one from amongst the cards and he or she will be sent to sit with you. In the meantime, would you care for a meal or a drink? The Sunstone Mask provides the finest beverages and meals in all Faerun."
[t:limukj16]The man winks and laughs,
[t:limukj16]"Or at least, we seem to think so."

A rattling of indrawn breath aproximating roughly to; "Hmm." Comes from Selvik's veil. "A chestnut for you as well then. Lives in water, never drinks. Dressed in mail, never chinks." He rasps, real enjoyment in his voice. He drinks another tankard of chilled water.

The door creaks open, and a young drow steps in, face softened by the light of the tavern. She shrugs her hood off her face, hand coming to rest on the hilt of a small dagger. Gliding to the bar, she sits lightly, scarlet eyes meeting those of the bartender. In a lilting voice she asks for a flagon of mead, and proceeds to drink hungrily.

*a young female drow walks into the bar and takes a seat at one of the tables. she does so very quietly and gracefully, but, if one watches her carefully, it appears as though she is not used to her own shape*[/color:32ywe5mh]

*The drow lady took a sip from each of the glasses, testing each one, as if done by a proffesional.*
- My family has been in this proffesion for many years. I pick the one in the center.

[i:29vlea96]<...made Int check, and have a proffesion ranks in it. Did I guess right?...>[/i:29vlea96]

[t:24g321jy]At the bar Akordia laughs,
[t:24g321jy]"I have not heard that one. I will say a fish, though I am probably wrong."
[t:24g321jy]As they speak the man with the trays hurries to the new drow patrons, offering them any refreshments and showing them the tray, explaining to them that if they wish a companion they need only choose from the cards on the tray.
[t:24g321jy]By the fire Jasmine smiles as well, and turns over each of the bottles. On the bottom of the bottles a date and location are stamped. You can see you were correct, though the date of that bottle and the one to the left were only different by a few years.
[t:24g321jy]"Very good,"
[t:24g321jy]Jasmine says,
[t:24g321jy]"Though I must say, I prefer this vintage here."
[t:24g321jy]She shows the bottle that was on the right,
[t:24g321jy]"It is not so old, but the older ones seems too dry to me. Do you prefer a sweet or a dry wine?"

The young, violet eyed human smiles gently as he is approched, then looks to the cards he is offered, his small smile fading into a slight frown. "It almost sounds they have no choice in the matter..."

Even as he says this, his eyes wander over to the people of the establishment, perhaps watching the men of the group with a little more intrest than he gives the ladies, but not by any greatly notable amount.

[t:14qxqjeq]The man with the tray says,
[t:14qxqjeq]"They are entertainers , sir.Their job in this establishment is to entertain the customers, but not in the fashion you might think. They are not obligated to do anything they are uncomfortable with. You see sir, most of these entertainers are bards of some sort. They entertain by the telling of tales, the singing of songs, and sometimes by just being a friendly ear to those in need."

"Correct. Though it was but a simple one." He rasps. "I believe it to be your turn again then. Unless you'd prefer a different game?" He pauses in his drinking, seeming sated for now.
