Veraka chuckled at Inrii's response; "my unique heritage grants me innate magical capabilities, yes; but, not nearly as much as your unique background gives off, though I'm also carrying four enchanted items; plus at the very least I know that I can take a full on fire-blast to the face and NOT be blown to pieces." He took Zek's kit, and made sure it wouldn't come undone, and looked at the ranger, "just come back in one piece, ok Zek?"

Seeing Inrii's reaction to the ranger's suicidal idea, he smirked "is there something going on here that I wasn't aware of?"

Nodding he chuckled" Right, I'll see you in the abyss if this doesn't work." Removing the rest of his enchanted gear he looked at them and chuckled as he checked his daggers." Alright, I'll wait until the next pulse passes then rush up.

Alya watched with glee at this. the three took down an undead white. they were good! Neriah had chosen well. If they survived this, they would surely make it to the Vale. the fey'ri smiled approvingly.
"yes, I am good at this job." then turning to face the white drow, "I thought all those loyal to Maveric were weeded out. He musta slipped thru? Send Kirk went to see our 'friend?' tho in his condition, leaving him as he is seams crueler."

As soon as the pulse passed he dashed up the stairs and into the tower. He didn't waste time checking things out, though he made sure that he moved quietly. The quieter he was and the quicker he found the source of the pulses in the tower the better.

"Cook for who, hmm?" Veraka retorted, grinning with a wry smile, after Zek had bolted up the stairs. He was just joking with her now, though he was curious about her reaction to Zek's safety.
"Inrii; I was under the impression that you hated males, or at least tried to distance yourself from them?"

the stairs are far to the left. the room is bull of broken furniture where the place crumbles. a quick observation shows this was a place for large gatherings. much of the furnature is chairs, couches and tables. but the walls are intact as the place also heals itself. some books are threwn everywhere.
one catches your eye. it is a fantasy book about an alien plant called earth. (ok imma dork i know).

Inrii turned and scoffed. "i hate everyone equally," she joked, "ok some people more. and techinacally, I could never distance myself. if you forget, I'm of House Jaelre." she paused, "and that, that was.. nothing really..." not good at hiding it as she tried; she wasnt one to admit things.
"you know what..." she stuck her tongue out. then she began to paced. inactivity wasnt good for the drowess.
she looked at Zarstra. "dont you take his side. you be quiet now."

Veraka cocked his head, laughing a little at the sorceresses attempts to hide her past; "you know what, I'm actually agreeing with lizard. and House Jaelre, that was what? Annihilated, destroyed, another house, is from the Underdark, decided to leave for reasons unbeknown," he let the idea slid off, seeing if it would get a reaction from her.

"Fair enough; so why don't. . ." he was cut short as the pulse came in straight for him, and blasted against his shield.

She had met him before, or at least an avatar of him. but Inrii didnt care about religion. she held Vhaeruan's principles, for the most part, but didnt go out of her way to uphold his dogma.

Veraka heard the reverberation that came from up the stairway. "That can't be good," he said, pointing a thumb to the upstairs; "either our ranger friend has encountered some company, unlikely with this tower, or something's really biting his nerves."
