"Keep the two of yourselves out of trouble, I would prefer not to pull that stunt again, if only there was some way to re-prepare that spell, and keep the two of you out of trouble..." Zazzt pulled up his hood again, "Ah... some spare clothes would be nice." He said, "Money will not be a problem." He pulled open on side of his cloak, and out of one of the many pockets lining it, he pulled out a bulging sack of coins, when he opened it, the gold and platinum pieces sparkled merrily in the light of the inn. Out of another pocket he pulled out a belt with a spell component pouch, and tied that around his cloak.

Zazzt quickly slipped into the clothes, but gave the cloak back, looking around, he snapped his fingers, and his swords appeared, and he quickly strapped them on, "Thank you." He said, and walked up to the bar, "May I have a round of your finest mead for everyone in this room?" He asked, "Two for the bard." He pulled out a pair of platinum pieces and placed them on the counter. Then he walked over to Lothir's table and pulled up a chair, "Where did you learn to play like that. Tunes of home are not very common up in the World Above."
I smiled broadly at Zzadrina as I took my seat at the table.
Lothir didn't waste time in striking up a lively tune which many of the Inn's customers enjoyed.
"Good evening Lady Zzadrina. May I say how lovely you are looking this night. Why the stars themselves would be blushing in envy at your dazzling beauty."[/quote:19eo8xb8]
Zzadrina chuckled at Lothirs comment about his silver tounge and looked at the drow with a fond smile, but remained wary of the adore of any being that wouldn't live aslong as herself.
Plus, she thought all the thick, adoring comments that he gave her were weird and a bit much.
She cared about Talwyn, to be sure, but in the way of a good friend, rather than a love. She felt somewhat nervous, and it showed in the way her brow furrowed just a little bit. She took a sip of her wine to buy time.

" Hey Lil, what''''s going on in the world news today?"
" Some woman got whacked!"
"....Apparently, this is cause for celebration in Lil Land."

I saw Zzadrina's hesitant look, a wariness in her eyes and a furrow in her brow after I paid her the compliment. She sipped her wine in an effort to forestall her skitishness.
I thought it odd that such a beautiful lady bard would not appreciate sincere homage. I must make ammends and put her at ease. I lowered my voice and spoke gently to her.
"Zzadrina, if I make you uncomfortable with my praise for you then please accept my most humble and deepest appologies. Please know that I have the upmost respect for you and my accolades and kind words come from the heart. As a true artist, you would surely understand how one can be moved and inspired by something beautiful. My words are but an honest expression of that wonder, that inspiration I feel when I see such splendor. You see, life is fleeting, even for one as long lived as you. None of us know what tommorrow may bring which is why I choose to live in the moment, to embrace the present and sieze opportunities. So today while blossoms still cling to the vine, I shall inhale their sweet perfume, knowing full well that they have but a few days in which to share their gift with the world. I do not hesitate to enjoy them even though they will wither and fade as do all things in their own time. I will enjoy strawberries, I shall drink sweet wine as a million tomorrows may all pass away, 'ere I forget all the joy that is mine to have today."

That comment caught Zazzt's ear, he turned to look at the paladin, making sure his face was hidden in his hood, "Impressive words, Sir..." He said.

I turned and gave a small polite bow of the head.
"My thanks sir. The words are but an expression of thoughts that flow directly from the heart. " I said to the fellow.
I turned to Lothir,
"Lothir my friend, could you play that melody we talked about the other day? You know, the one called "Opportunity"?[/size:1hwvf5jl][/url:1hwvf5jl] I think Zzadrina would like it." He smiled and nodded and began to strum out the chords, his music resonating across the Inn's main room bringing conversation to a brief halt.
[i:1hwvf5jl]And so it goes another lonely day,
your saving time but your miles away.
love is drowning in some bitter sea,
for seeing lost opportunity
Find your mirror and go and look inside
and see the talent that you always hide.
Don't go kid yourself that all is well today,
and satisfaction's not far away
Hold on now your exits here,
it's waiting just for you.
Don't pause too long, it's fading now,
it's ending all too soon you'll see,
soon you'll see
Your coffee's warm but your milk is sour,
life is short but you're here to flower,
dream yourself along another day,
and never miss an opportunity
Don't be scared of what you cannot see,
your only fear is possibility.
Never wonder what the hell went wrong,
your second chance may never come along
Hold on now your exits here, it's waiting just for you.
Don't pause too long, it's fading now,
it's ending all too soon you'll see,
soon you'll see[/i:1hwvf5jl]
I sang the song, not looking at Zzadrina but hoping the words might give her something to reflect on.

Poor Zzadrina was looking more and more nervous by the second. Her wine glass was already drained, but she kept it to her lips to give herself an excuse. She jumped at the chance as Elenwe came down, looking slightly sleepy, but otherwise elegant in a simple cream dress. She beamed.
" Elenwe, lovely! Come talk to me!"[/color:2p87c1f6] The drow lady lept up to scramble nervously over to her friend, who now bore a suspicious look. Zzadrina slightly bent her head towards Talwyn, and Elenwes expression cleared in understanding. They'd spoken about this before.
The half elven monk gave the boys a cheerful wave, but took a seat at the bar with Zzadrina, who refilled her goblet several times, switching over to strong Tethyrian red about halfway in. The alcohol did little to her, but drinking several glasses of wine was good for her stress, a good way to calm her down. The girls sat close together, muttering quietly to eachother. Zzadrina did her best to ignore the paladin, positively radiating [i:2p87c1f6]' Please leave me alone, Talwyn, and stop chasing me. Its not going to happen.'[/i:2p87c1f6]

Zazzt nudged Talwyn with his shoulder, inadvertently leaving a smudge of dirt and dried blood on his fine armor, "You know, I think that lady of your's has another... friend on her mind." He said, trying to see how annoying this paladin would be, although, truth be told, he did respect the man's intelect, "And besides, I think there is a slight difference in life expectancy, don't you think?"

It was sad that Zzadrina was feeling so disturbed by a song that was meant to encourage her to see beyond her fears.
"You may be right sir," I said with a nod to the dirt and bloodstained person. I turned briefly to Lothir,
"Lothir my friend, I think I shall take my leave of you and the Inn. My presense here is making people uncomfortable. Take care," I said as I walked out without a look back.

Zazzt turned to Lothir, "Was it something I said?" He asked innocently.

OOC: I see...
IC:
"Well, that is not to discourage you from trying, good warrior." Zazzt stood up, "Perhaps I could go speak to her on your behalf, one drow to another?"

Both women frowned deeply as Talwyn got up and left, Zzadrina looking more nervous while Elenwe just rolled her eyes at the silliness. She was happy she was a monk at the moment. The women shared looks, as if they were having an argument just with expressions. Both women looked petulant.
