Nodding some he sighed muttering something in draconic about about unwelcome and unexpected arrivals were not welcome. Unsheathing his blades again he turned around to look for the source of their company, ready to greet them with a blade to the heart if they were lucky.

Veraka looked around, but couldn't see their unknown assailant.
He looked to the ranger; "I thought we killed all the bastards here?"

((I'm not sure how long Zek and Veraka can keep conversing before Inrii gets back on and has a chance to post))

Veraka looked to Zek and nodded, keeping Marala Vharc ready and his shield up.
"Bahamut forbid this new assailant be in league with Alya, or any of the meat-bags that ran this decrepit operation," he said in a low tone to Zek, keeping his eyes going every which direction.

Nodding slowly as he watched the shadows for movement, ready to unleash either spell or weapon into the location he spots movement.

Veraka glanced back at the girls, unsure if having them run would be a good idea or bad; Aurora looked up at him right then, and he felt a mild amount of relief. knowing Aurora, she'd let loose her icy fury should it come to that.

Looking to the ranger, he realized that both of them were leaving their back's open to a clear attack; he whirled about, though nothing was there.

"Ehhh, I don't like this," he grunted to the ranger.

((sorry yall. busy after supper and such. figured yall would continue and she just stalk ya...))

She whispered the words and a stillness surrounded them. a silence that enveloped them and darkness that could be felt. just as then a force was thrown their way and she vanished again.
she spoke the correct words and changed shape forms, appearing like a familiar friend to them. down to everylast detail she appeared like Inrii, even spoke like her.
for effect she made her clothes look worn and ragidity her face bruised and scratches appear. to make an entrance, she made herself appear in a room and sorta hobble their way.
the female was good, had been able to get into Inrii's mind and steal memories. She tripped from what looked like injuries to fall near them.
looking up she spoke, "long time no see," in a forced sarcastic jest.
but there were a few litle things she wouldnt be able to immitate, and the female knew where she had to be careful.

Feeling the immediate change in the surroundings and then the apparent missing inrii appearing he knew not to trust the situation." Yeah, long time no see. So where's our pyro nut lizard friend? You two are never apart." He said flatly, blades still in hand ready.

Veraka felt something hit him and whirled about, to find nothing was there. His shield ready and sword raised, he kept his mind open, ready for any attack.

His immediate reaction was one of excitement, but the berserker stirred within him, and Veraka [b:smo80cvr]knew[/b:smo80cvr] that the berserker didn't react to those he considered friends. If this Inrii was truly Inrii, then he knew that the raging beast would still be in its slumber.

At Zek's question, Veraka nodded his head, and said "Long time, no see indeed; where is the crazed fire thrower Zarstra anyways? That and how in the Nine Hells did you escape, ehh?"

He couldn't help but to smile" One of three things... we have a shape shifter, a doppleganger, or one of Ayla's croonies whom can disillusion us. Either way I'm not pleased or amused. I can deal with the first much easier than the other two, since both annoy me."

the 'Inrii' was quick too, despite unable to show the emotions. she looked away in an appearence of sadness.
"she..." the female started.
she couldnt cry, but she knew Inrii rarely showed such things. tho their reaction to her was not what she expected. she would have guessed they would hurry to her to help or aleast be concerned.
well, if this failed, plan B would need to go into effect. tho the female did want to play this out some more.
"...Alya..." she said with the right attidute this time.
her hands curled up and her fist balled in a rage.
then for effect fell down to the floor in a weakened state.
"i dont know. its a blur for the most part," she said, her head down, hair around her face arms barely holding her up.
"but she paid!"
the voice came out in a rage and her body had a shadowy fire around her.

((the idea is she is prudy good at it, but not a doppleganger.
and tomarrow i have 4 archery tracks going, so be really busy. but yall can play this female if im slowing yall down or anything.))

Watching some he just smiled watching the scene" nice Effects..." looking to Veraka" Shall you show her the true meaning of rage? And perhaps uncover the truth? Or shall you hold her down while I interrogate. My patience is thin, I am tired of this town. And we have a job to do. One of which i intend on finishing." Looking to the 'inrii' he spoke" Tell us why your here, honestly and without the ruse and we might help you." or kill still one of the two...

the shadows darkened on the prone female and a blast of energy went out from her, followed by sudden darkness thick as soup (i think thats the cliche).
"forget the dead girl, leave this foolish pointless quest or she will pay for your sins."
the voice was deeper and darker, a cold chill filled the air around them and an opressive sensation of deed flooded them, all coming from her breath. the threat hung heavy from her mouth.
the shadows, tho unseen as of yet (true seeing doesnt work in it) had sprouted draconic like wings and became less corporal.

Hearing the fake Inrii's threat, Veraka's temper spiked; "OUR ONLY SIN IS SEEING HER FOR WHAT SHE TRULY WAS!!!" he roared at the unseen menace that hounded them.

"FUCK IT!!" he yelled as he brought his sword and shield together and summoned what seemed like a new energy from within. His eyes glowed radiant silver as he brought his weapon and shield down in a powered manner and brought for a divine attack, [b:wyox6yiv]Holy Smite[/b:wyox6yiv].

Searing white light blasted forth from the aasimar burning all evil in its path within a 20' radius around him, and blinding all evil creatures in that radius. ((yeah, Zek, your not on that list))

Hearing the threat he spoke flatly and albeit darkly." Threaten again, and I will spend many years torturing everyone of you. I have the time, and the ability." A promise that he could easily keep, and like the baelorn they knew, both of them had many long years to play with victims if they wanted too. It wasn't long at all before the daggers were sheathed, bow in hand and an arrow being notched and fired at the direction that they had last seen the fake inrii. He knew to trust instinct, and he was working with it.
