[quote:jyago77p]Zareari Det'tar: Jasmine stops singing, and the cats meows and jumps down from the table. Then she says,
"Well to tell you the truth I was born with the gift. My mother said that when I was but a tiny girl she found me singing in a back alley , and I was surrounded by stray cats and dogs. My mother was a..a woman of ill repute , I do not know who my father was.But my mother was, despite the career she was forced into, a dear and wonderful woman. She saved every copper she earned to send me to bardic school so that I would not end up like her." [/quote:jyago77p]
OOC: Sorry, I missed your post, but I was too busy to see it so I sen't Rooky. She missed it as well, but then using four eyes it was found Sorry again for the delay.
IC:
*The drow woman smiled slightly.* I envy you... *smoke came again from the fireplace and into the womans hand. THe puf of shapeless smoke took form, this time, it was in the form of a large spider*...If only my mother was like yours...*it seemed that a tear would be shed, but she snapped out of it. She smiled again, but a hint of sadness was still seen. The smoke spider dissapeared, into her hand and from it a red rose grew* Here Jasmine, a little gift. Hope you like roses.
ceistant:Kosef listens to your story and nods,
[t:dg8g2wb4]"My recommendation is to go first to a cleric of the Goddess your sister and mother worshipped.I know who she is, I could hardly not with akordia ,"
[t:dg8g2wb4]He motions towards a drow woman who is sitting at the bar with a strange looking robed man, then continues,
[t:dg8g2wb4]"working here and filling the ears of all who enter of her goddess's dogma. Perhaps Akordia could be of some assistance to you."[/color:dg8g2wb4]
Tyrmer: "well i have told you of how I left the underdark and the unkindly reception I recieved by the above grounders.I was then, as I said, taken in by followers of Eilistraee, who taught me of their goddess. They desired that I become a cleric, but although my heart lies strong with the Goddess, I am not , shall we say, disciplined enough, for such a path. so I left my sisters and took up traveling , spreading my Lady's gospel, so to speak, and trying to find my own niche in the world. But it was..lonely, and you know how well we are treated out there. Then I met the Lady Lilliana, who offered me a job here. For you see, I have always enjoyed helping people, and the acceptance the people here give me, and the love, is more than I could have ever hoped for.I have heard of the story of Mystra and her coin, but do not know it in its entirety, pray tell me , sir, for I feel I have monopolized enough of the conversation."[/color:dg8g2wb4]
Zareari:Jasmine takes the rose and strokes it softly between her fingers,
[t:dg8g2wb4]"aye , fortuante I was to have a kind and loving mother. I have spoken with many drow before though, and i know that your childhood is..difficult ..to say the least. But like all bad things, we have two options. We can either let them drag us down, or let them make us stronger."[/color:dg8g2wb4]
My childhood wasn't difficult in a manner thet many of them speak. Mine was...a lot more fun...But concerning the two options...I did both...If I did only one it just wouldn't be as fun, now would it? *She smiled again, although this one seemed a bit more forced then the previous one*
Lilac: as Tara proposes her little story game I think about it for a while and after a while I decide it'd be fun to listen my own story told by someone else.
"Ok, let's do it. So the story goes like this: I used to have some friends before comming to this realms. One of them was a druid, the other a fighter, the other a thief, but the one that was travelling with me when this happened was a mage. He was a powerfull mage, but he had a small flaw. His constitution was very weak and whenever he made a spell during a battle the spell didn't work and he fainted. Whenever he made spells while not in battle everything was fine. He also had a terrible temper. So I was travelling with him once and we arrived to a valley. We were asked to be carefull while there, because there were mistical animals that had the abbility to speak, and someone even warned us not to go there, but we had to if we wanted to get to our destiny. We found a nice single tree where we could spend the night and the mage decided to sleep in the ground while I slept in a branch. I slept first as I don't need too much sleep and while I was watching our little camp from my branch I saw fire in the distance, and also the sound of a fight. I woke up the mage and we went to investigate. There was a caravan and some men were fighting against a lion to put him in a cage. I don't know why but we didn't like how it looked, besides thought if they were really intelligent like people sayed they shouldn't be in cages, so the mage distracted some of the men while I went to the cages. There was a family of lions there. In one cage was the fatherm in another the mother and in another, small cage, was the cub and he was shaking. I smiled to myself while with my sword I broke the cage of the cub, who immediately runned away as fast as he could, then I opened the cage of the mother who also runned away after her little one, and I didn't open the cage of the male lion. First I called the attention of the rest of the men that my friend was keeping busy in the meantime and waited untill they were close enough. THEN I opened the cage of the male lion. He jumped on the men and killed them all; he then looked at me and the mage fiercely and runned after his wife and kid, leaving us alive there. Then we went back to our "camp" and the mage was ranting all the time that he could at least have sayed "thank you" or something. I didn't really cared. I've always hated slavery in any way. So the next morning we were getting ready to leave when we felt eyes upon us, and not just one pair, but at least 20 pairs, and suddenly we were surrounded by all kind of felines. HUGE felines and we didn't understand why they didn't attack us immediately untill the oldest one, a panther, stepped forward and he actually did talk! he sayed they were gratefull with us for setting the lions free and they'd escourt us to the end of the valley, where we needed to go. Now I and the mage are welcome in that valley" I look at Rooky and Tara "Well, that's all for now because if I continued I'd have to tell the story of how I almost die in the hands of a cult and that's too long and I want to go to bed at some time this evening, not tomorrow night, lol"
I smile at Tara and wait for her own version of my story.
Philia: As tebryn says he wants to see my tail I answer shortly to him, but still with a sexy voice, nonetheless
"My tail does not mean my butt, hun, and I'm not looking for just a one night stand if you know what I mean" I wink at both Jandar and tebryn and then I look at Jandar when he replies to his dark friend in that strange tongue and laugh wholeheartedly "Oh, my friend! I have two things to tell you. I may not understand your lenguage, but I guess that is something you also want, although you may not say it. You actually kissed my hand previously. That is a sign of desire. When a gentleman only wants to be corteous he just leans his chin against the back of the lady's hand; when is a kiss it means love or desire, and second thing... are you some kind of psionic? I never mentiones Theros being my father" I wait for a minute to see if Tebryn or Jandar answers any of what I sayed and then continue.
"Oh, well. I was actually planning in leaving tomorrow, but yif you say the bard will come in a couple of days I guess I could stay 2 more days if it means to be in such a good company..." I think for a while that I won't be able to cross the rift alone and then I say "I know it won't be very... fair from me, but I'm looking for one or two travelling partners. There is a very dangerous place I have to go through and I know I won't survive it if I go alone, do you know of any... volunteers?"[/color:r1igcbs1]
Zareari:jasmine smiles and places a hand on your arm, though she is a young human, probably in her early twenties, her eyes show an uncanny empathy towards you. Though she says nothing, merely refreshes your wine glass, she almost seems to understand what you have left unsaid.
[t:1htcqvb9]"Let us leave the past in the past and speak of more pleasant things, shall we? Perhaps we can speak of books, the fictional kind, mind you..I despise those snobby dusty treatises on magic and history and such. Though I have read a few histories speaking of heros and the like that were most fascinating."[/color:1htcqvb9]
Sabaal:Liliac: tara listens avidly and says,
[t:1htcqvb9]"Well this won't be to hard. Is was almost funny to begin with."
[t:1htcqvb9]tara then pulls herself up onto the bar and clears her throat loudly, and starts to hum, picking up a melody, then bursts into song, in a voice that carries far, but is badly off key she sings,
[t:1htcqvb9]"I'll tell you the tale of a heroine and mage,
All through the lands the two would engage,
In battle most fierce,
All wicked would faaaallllll,
If only the mage would grow some ballls.
On resting one night, our heroine most fair,
Saw men doing battle
Over large kitty covered in hair.
To rescue the kitties would be a brave taaasskkk,
Lets hope the brave heros dont get bite on the a$$$$.
So bravely sir mage distracted the foes,
While fair heroine was quick upon her toes.
She freed the brave kitties, so quick and so swwweeeett...
And released papa lion so foes were lunch meeeat.
Depressed then were our heros so brave,
Of thanks and rewards they both were depraved.
Till next morning came ,
Twere surrounded by caaats,
Were our brave heroes
about to become
Their next Meow Mix snaaaaacckkk?
But no, twas the kitties
Who thanked their brave hearts
And lead the brave heros
To where they were embarked.
The moral of the story is really quite niice,
When messing with kitties
Remember the fate of the Miiiiicccceee.."
Philia: (ooc Saying father was a booboo there but I will work with it)
[t:1htcqvb9]Tebryn just laughs and Jandar blushes softly and says,
[t:1htcqvb9]"I meant no disrespect, lady, with the kiss or the..way my gift got away from me.I catch surface thoughts only, and then only when someone is really emotional about a subject. I am gladdened to hear you will be staying on longer. We have many adventurers who come in and out of here, and I am certain you will find someone who would like to accompany you."
[t:1htcqvb9]Tebryn's eyes flash flirtatiously as he says,
[t:1htcqvb9]"I would love to 'accompany' you anywhere.."
[t:1htcqvb9]He stops suddenly after a sudden thumping sound under the table.Jandar glowers at him, as Tebryn reaches under the table reaches under the table and rubs his kicked shin.Jandars glares at his companion with a look that could boil water in the water, before turning to you, his face melting back into the calm, serene countenance he had been wearing,
[t:1htcqvb9]"I fear we cannot accompany you, we must stay here, but i know someone appropriate will come in."[/color:1htcqvb9]
Devante listens to both the tales with equal interest, often nodding slightly, if thoughtfully. "Ah, yes. I was certain I saw something angelic about you," he says to Kosef with a hint of a flirtatious grin. He quickly glances to the table shyly however, after realizing what he had done, but even that soon falls back into a more serious composure as he looks to Chal’lochar-gloth.
He waits until Kosef speaks his part of advice, then adds, "Indeed that sounds like The Dark Maiden, Eilistraee. My own sister," He pauses then, a small frown curving his lips, before adding, "Or half sister, as she would so determinedly remind me. She is a follower of the Lady also, in that at least it seems we have some common ground." He finishes with a smile which seems so natural for him, despite appearing to have frowned much in the time he had been in the tavern.

*She smiled again, and places her hand on Jasmine's in a friendly matter and continues with a merry voice*
You're right. The past is gone now, but it should still be kept in our memories. We still might be able to learn something from it.
As for literature, I sometimes like to retreat to the Arcane books wich were given to me by my mentor. I like many styles of writing, and have many of them in my home. If you ever wish something special, tell me, and I'll send one of my imps to you
Lilac: I look at Tara with a smile in my face as I listen to my own story, and even when it was a little scary was more fun to listen my own things comming from someone else.
"That was funny, Tara, but it actually felt somehow strange to hear my own story from someone else's lips. Actually that's something I always wanted but never before could. That bards and other people tell stories about me. Perhaps you could do the same with one of Rooky's stories now?" I look at Rooky, questioningly.
As Jandar says his apologies I shake my head smiling at him.
"No, dear gentleman, there was no offense and actually it was quite nice, so don't apologise please" Then I look at both of the men with me "From time to time even someone like me appreciates a few kind gestures. When I first joined the White Knights, Commander Ethan danced with me a piece of music in a tavern. That was actually very nice. I liked him, but he's getting married to my best friend so he's out of my dreams now. Anyways, Theros is my father and I am very emotional about him. He left one day, leaving me alone with no explanation. I understand that he wanted to live his life, but I was the one supposed to leave the..." I trail off as I was about to say the [i:zyxk3y1f]lair[/i:zyxk3y1f] and continue "house, not him. I'm not looking for him to have an argueing; I just want answers... I left a lot of people I love behind to seek my answers, but I'll be back to them soon" I take a sip from my wine and bite my lower lip, thinking about something.
"Well, guys." I stand from my seat, passing a silky hand over Jandar and then Tebryn's shoulder and then I grab all my too long silvery read hair to make a knot in the base of my neck, letting some strands of hair fall over my forehead and eyes and I stretch "I promised to show you my tail, right? so where could we go so I can show you my true form? I don't want everyone to see me and it looks like you have no problems with my race, so perhaps I can trust you."I wink at them "We have to live very concealed in myworld as humans and humanoids in general seek to kill us for our skin to make armoury"
I sigh "Uhhh.. it will be a very boring trip with noone to come with me" I say as I walk to the door or wherever they show me where to go next[/color:zyxk3y1f]
What? Me tell a story? I can't beilve I eaven voluntered for that. Well anyways...
It's one from one of me adventures. Anyways there were six of us. Me as the main power sword along with a Minotaur barbarian, a completly barmy Druid, a priest of Talos of all people, a necromancer...whom I shall not describe in any further detail, and a Rouge...I don't know what it was, but it looked like a cat...Anyways, were were comfortably walking along the forest, and this goblin jumps out. The minotaur stomps on it, and we continue...The same hting happens over and over agian, and he starts having fun. So when a whole horde of them attacks us, he just play jump rope with them.
Three hours later we get to town and into an inn. We get our rooms and order drinks and food. All is going well and at some part, around mmidnight, the necromancer is dead...drunk and so he starts inuslting the minotaur. So far it's going well, as the minotaur had his batch of fun, and now his calm. Although *calm* is a very arguable word...
We order some tea for the wizard, to cam him down. IT seemed he didn't like tea without milk, so he mistook (again) the minotaurs gender and asked him for some milk.
That really pissed the minotaur off, so he started rampaging. We saved as many people as we could, but left the necromancer in there with the minotaur. THere was nothing left of the wizard, and we had to sleep outside...yet again...
OOC: Would you belive it, this roleplaying session took us about three hours to complete? With South Park music?
Zareari:"Hmm..There is a book Im looking for, though I doubt you have it.it is very rare. You see my mother knew very little about the 'client' that got her pregnant with me. What she did know was that he was a half drow, yeah I know, you can't tell, i look just like my human mother, and that his name was Riestin. I have asked every drow I have ever met if they knew of a half drow by the name of Riestin, none had ever heard of him. Then one night, working in here, I spoke to a bard who had read a book written by a drow matron by the name of Ka'lish'akish.he said it was very violent and dreary, not really his type of reading material, or mine either for that matter, and he ended up selling it.But he said he remembered it saying something about a half drow slave by the name of Riestin.Perhaps if I could find this book I could learn something about my father.Have you ever heard of it, or this matron?"[/color:3onwdrsu]
Sabaal:Philia:Tebryn smiles widely, revealing his sharp pointed canines and goes to speak, Jandar starts to interrupt, but Tebryn snarls at him,
[t:3onwdrsu]"The lady has offered, are you such a coward you will not accept her friendship?"
[t:3onwdrsu]Jandar pales a bit, then straightens his shoulders and says,
[t:3onwdrsu]"Allow us to escort you upstairs , the rooms there will afford us such privacy."
[t:3onwdrsu]jandar stands up and glares hostily at Tebryn, saying in draconic,
[t:3onwdrsu]"Wer tioteg uriu made thric mishun gultah.Sjek wux xoal ekess gragg nebeur Si nishka leor svabol wux lastu itov.”
[t:3onwdrsu]tebryn's dark skin turns ashen and his hands go to cup his crotch.Jandar offers his arm.
ooc..going upstairs means going pm..and thank you lance for the draconic translator link.[/color:3onwdrsu]
Rooky:Tara , still standing on the bar, starts to laugh so hard she almost falls off the bar.
[t:3onwdrsu]"Goblin stomping..ha..I don't need to do anything with that story to make it funnier. It reminds me of the time jandar and tebryn took me out to show me how they went 'bowling for gobos ' as they call it."
[t:3onwdrsu]she finally gasps out.[/color:3onwdrsu]
Slowing turning in his chair to see the bar, “Intriguing, maybe we should move our discussion to the bar then. I would definitely enjoy hearing more.”
Pulling his cloak back over his shoulders and lifting his pack over one shoulder, Chal’lochar-gloth slowly stands, “I hate to excuse myself in the middle of our conversation, but I feel I need to take this opportunity. You are welcome to join me of course, after all a warm meal still awaits us.”
Walking over to the bar and placing his pack down beside a stool, Chal’lochar-gloth slowly unwraps one of the swords from his bundle revealing its’ hilt, the dark grey metal of the pommel, gleaming from careful polishing.
Not wanting to interrupt the two sitting at the bar, he waits for a moment to be noticed, and then greets the lady with his native tongue, “Vendui'. Pardon my intrusion, but I was told that you may be able to help me find someone related to this sword.”
Hold the scabbard and presenting the hilt, he shows her and her guest a finely crafted weapon with a delicate handle. The crossguard forged and engraved to resemble two women back to back with their arms reaching up and away from a pale white disc of inlayed pearl set in the center, the grip wrapping them in a soft silvery white fabric almost as if to cloth them.
“It is supposed to be one of two twin blades, and I would greatly like to find its sister sword. Kosef hinted that you may know of the Goddess these women may follow, and how I may find others.”

*The drow woman thought for a few moments, but shook her head at some point* No, I don't rember. But I do keep a log of all the books I do have in my possesion. *a raven appeared. She sent it away. After several minutes it reapeared again, this time with several really long ones. She started lookin in the K section and quickly found it.*
Here it is...Ka'lish'akish...I'll have your book in a few moments.

Lilac: As Rooky tells her story I can't help it but think on that game where you have to stomp with a hammer on the frogs or whatever comes out from the ground, and I laugh, making a picture of her story in my mind.
"I would have liked to see that! Goblin stomping. I should try it some time! Who are Jandar and Tebryn?" I ask Tara while I stretch some.
"I'm tired... Tara and Rooky, would you mind if I go to rest now? I've been travelling all day long and I'm really tired. We can continue talking and drinking tomorrow if you want. I'm planning to stay here for a while before I start wandering through the world again"
Philia: "Upstairs?" I look at the gentlemen with a questioning look as it sinks on me and I chuckle "Oh, HAHAHA!!! no, gentlemen... is not that. That can come later if we still want to, but Jandar, I don't force anyone. For what I want to show you now the second floor won't resist, neither the weight nor the weather. We hould go out... not from the front door, though. besides..." I look at them both smiling and answer in draconic as well as I take Jandar's arm and follow to the outside of the tavern.
"Svabol makes wux siofme douta thurirl geou tangis tuor ekess xoal ekess gragg ve? nomag jaci'll chiili svabol fronin humanoid persvek sia treskri makes svadrav seing creolna hefoc ve persvek sia seke heeth. Si mi having diwhaf talking mrith wux. Somati, sjek tikil, shilta shivi."
I walk with them thinking on what a shame would be if they reacted in the wrong way. I'd have to fight them and that's the last thing I'd like to do.[/color:3dvlxnjb]
