Onix gave a nod of his helmet, shutting down his holoprojector in his wrist armor.
"So you two say that there are creatures on Toril that are just as scary as what I just showed you? Perhaps so, but after seeing what these things are capable of you'll wish that you were right," the clone said, a hint of malice and certainty in his voice.

Hearing Lothir's voice and his facial expression, Onix gave a helmet tilt toward the bard; "I'm sensing more behind that story, but it's up to you whether we hear it or not. Though I'll say this, prepping oneself before combat is always a key winner for any soldier on the field, this includes venting any potentially hazardous memories to come forth, so that they may not distract oneself in battle."

"No, friend, that is not a story for polite company- or even IM-polite company, for that matter. Suffice it to say I held no pity for his fate. In any case, I've fought plenty of creatures such as one might see in a nightmare, so this thing holds no fear for me, however dangerous it may be. When one has seen the other side of death, it really sort of loses its horror." He gives Onix a nod of acknowledgement, and looks down at the dead foes again.

"So, were these men here to fight those things, or are they allied with them? And if they side with the creatures, why?"

The clone unsealed his helmet, and looked at Lothir directly in the eye, "these things are walking death-stalkers themselves, but I'll take you word for it's worth."

Nodding again to the bard, Onix indicated the soldiers that had exchanged fire with them, "No Lothir; these men are trained to make sure that that creature that I just showed you is placed on a planet and let loose to sow death and eventually drain a planet devoid of life, at least all sentient life. These soldiers were came here for the sole purpose of making sure that ONE of those things made it properly to the Toril's surface."

He closed his eyes for a split second, remembering his two squad-mates that he lost on their first encounter with the Leechers; "the ones who fight these pieces of shit, well you're staring at one. These things, these are the EXACT reason why me and my brothers exist in our realm."

(edited since Veraka post snipped me...)

Zarae sent a mental command to Moonlight to let him know it was safe again. within minutes, he reappeared where he left and came trotting twords them.
She noticed the facial expressions of Lothir and reasoned he had a dark past also. tho most drow did. and she wasnt gunna ask, she wast so keen about sharing her own. but she had ecxplained it enough times when one noticed the magical spider tattoo on her face.
hearing the bard speak, she nodded her agreement, "yes, if any help is to be done, then answers are needed," she spoke up.

"I see. You answered one of my questions, at least. But why would anyone WANT to let such a beast loose? What is the point? To conquer? Or for some other purpose?" He says, nodding when Zarae speaks.

"The 'why' of your question, Lothir, is something that almost all of my fellow brothers and all of those who fight with me have been trying to answer for a long time, but I will try and answer what I can."

Onix gathered his thoughts, cause he knew that trying to explain anything about the Leechers was near impossible. "To put it simply, these things were created for use as an expendable, but yet, efficient way to clear or terrorize a planet, for what purpose, though, I've no idea," the clone paused, "from what I do know and understand, the creature that you saw, what me and my fellow troops know as 'Life Leechers', were created through a combination of high-tech genetic engineering, and dark sorcery magics. The 'why' aspect as to their development eludes me as well as my superiors, though we believe that they were created for the sole purpose of being an expendable shock troop, something that would force my faction to force it's attention on them whilst our enemies, like those men we killed in earlier combat, sneak in and do what damage they can."

Onix sighed as he got to the part that everyone, including him, hated, "the truth is, though, the only reason that I can possibly give you, aside from what I've said earlier, is that my enemies have created these bugs just because they can; if not for any other purpose than just for the heck of it. If these answers aren't to your liking," he looked to Lothir and Zarae, "then I honestly don't know what can satiate your curiosity."

Onix laughed at Zarae's comment; "yup, that's us in a nutshell. Welcome to the clone's world 101."

His face then resumed it's serious demeanor, "if by continuing to lead me to my answers as to how I arrived here on Toril to begin with, I'm afraid that's gonna have to be put on hold until I can get a confirmed kill on that bug that I just showed you. Believe me when I say that if we sit idly by and let that thing that's out there run rampant, then believe me when I say that there might not be much left on Toril's surface after about two months," the clone finished the statement with a tone that suggested he was dead serious about killing the creature.

"Why is that? Do they breed rapidly? And if there is only one, how is that possible? Forgive my questions, it's just that you have me very curious about these creatures- from a lorekeeper's standpoint, I mean. Ever since I came Above, I've been fascinated by all the life on the surface. There is so much that could not even exist in the Underdark." The bard gives him a look of intense interest; it is clear from his face that he has a strong desire to learn as much about Onix and his origins as possible.

The clone turned to Lothir, looking into the bard's eyes for a second, before nodding; "I suppose that having you guys know the history behind the Leecher couldn't do any harm. Very well; to your first question Lothir, yes they can breed rapidly, at an alarming rate, to say the least. Fortunately for us, that kinda rapidly development requires there to be a Queen with a nest already built, and those usually take at least a week to construct." He breathed out, focusing his thoughts as to how to answer the second question.

"As to your second question, Lothir, I'm not sure that you'll like the answer, but how can one of these bugs leave a planet high and dry in under two months? Well for one, any living, breathing animal that has a more than a semi-sentient grasp on its life is what that bug considers it's meals; and don't think I'm talking about only just leaving a mutilated bloody corpse in it's wake, for the Leecher can do that, but it's primary method of feeding is to simply drain it's prey's life force from their body, leaving a dry, bony husk of a carcass behind. The rate at which one of these bugs feasts is enough to suck all life dry, especially those like you, me, Zarae, and anyone else who walks, and can communicate in an intelligent manner," Onix finished his little explanation to a curious Lothir.

OOC: So let me get this straight, In the earlier fight, You can slow down time, You are the only one with a gun, You have no plot to these monsters, and you are ripping them from Aliens vs. Predators

OOC: just to clarify mate, in the earlier fight, I didn't slow down time, I was merely describing the immediate effects of his adrenaline rush, time slows down when you have a rush.

Second; at the present time, yes, I'm the only one with a rifle, however I am gonna have whoever is in the RP get the option to equip themselves with a rifle soon enough, cause trust me, they'll gonna need em.

Third: my plot to these monsters is directly blended in with his existence, so they are directly linked to each other, not to mention these creatures, as well as Onix himself, are from a different realm, so the plot is gonna be told on the roll; and I'm not ripping them from AVP, that is just a very, very basic idea of what they look like. But I won't hold you back if you wanna leave.

OOC: Aww, come on Gareth, you ought to know by now that ALL BBA's (big, bad aliens) look like giant, nasty bugs! Look at Starship Troopers, for heaven's sake! Same concept. It was only a matter of time before someone introduced something of the sort on Toril. I do like how they feed, though. So Veraka, I'm assuming the one they sent down is a queen, yes?

OOC: yeah, it'll be a queen, just that Onix doesn't know that, so it's gonna count for a heavy battle, as for the details, Onix will describe they're physical characteristic strengths and weaknesses, anyway, I think I'll start up something here. . .

IC:A couple of kilometers away from the group, a dark black shadow rested itself against a small cliff hangover, residing next to the entrance of the burrow that it had just dug. Only a few hundred meters away was it's food source; elves, a whole village full, with a few humans mixed in as well. Though the humans would make appetizer, it was the long-lived elven folks that the creature sensed, the number of years that many still had yet to grow would satiate it for a time to come.
Two younger people, one elf, one human, were out, playing with each other. It wasn't the ruckus they were causing that alerted the creature, but how young they were.
Two acid green irises narrowed at the younglings.

Zarae hopped up on Moonlight's back. she looked around wondering what direction to go. she had only recently come to this area, so she was unfamilier with anything around here. at times, the surface world was hard to understand, especially one not so well in understanding of much of it.
