Considering the introducing of Dragonwing, Lance's airship, in my campaign I thought it appropriate to include some information about such airships. Here we go...
The term "airship" is connected to the draconic airships. These are exclusively made and operated by the Dragon Council. Occasionally individual dragons comission such an airship as a gift to an ally but such events are rare. An airship resembles a normal sailing ship with the addition of a pair of dragonlike crystal wings. These wings are animated and carry sufficent force to move the ship in any direction its pilot wishes. The wings are driven by a power crystal (or power core as it is sometimes called). If the crystal is damaged the wings' power is hamered, if the crystal is destroyed the wings are unable to function properly.
[b:1cp8kz2j]Size:[/b:1cp8kz2j]Varies, an airship can either be a common sailing ship (such as Lance's) or huge warship (although this is very uncommon). There are as many sizes as there are types of ship.
[b:1cp8kz2j]Speed:[/b:1cp8kz2j] Again varies, smaller ships are generally faster than large ones. The speed vary from between 80 ft (for the large ones) to 200ft. (for the very fats ones) per round.
[b:1cp8kz2j]Passengers:[/b:1cp8kz2j] A sailing ship can take 6-8 passengers, larger ships can take tens or even hundreds of passengers.
[b:1cp8kz2j]Weapons:[/b:1cp8kz2j] The warships have "draconic fire", magical devices capable of producing fireballs, the other ships generally have no form of weaponry.
