she is intriguing :)

but demonic heritage, vampirism etc would make any paladin very uncomfortable [those are essentially evil] despite her good intentions

It would take a long time and a hell of a lot of persuasion to sway Talwyn that she is Ok simply because of what she is.

Being Drow is one thing but a vampiric demoness  is another thing entirely.

Veronica :p may feel different though as he is not as strict a paladin as Tawlyn is.

Oh you are wrong! Veronica...oops...I mean Veraka is going to get you!
:)) LOL

And you T'risstree, do you know no shame?? XD

Anyway, I'm guessing Talwyn would attack her once he knew her true nature (race) right? I mean it'd be hard for him to tell since, as I said earlier, she is usually in either human or Drow form. The only times she changes is when the mood strikes her or whenever she has to fight. Being in her true form helps her kinda.

If you would like, I can post the rp in the Stories section. But I gather it would be rather confusing for others since It starts in the middle of her story.

[shamelessly pinches T'risstrees bum despite her watching him] :p

@ T'riss'ae

Talwyn wouldn't attack her if he discovered what she actually was however he'd be very unimpressed and not have any cause to trust her as she was concealing her true nature and thus would confirm his prejudices [demon=bad]

I guess you could say that.... I mean you saw the pic of her in the bio. She does look rather intimidating don'tcha think?

Hmmm... And if she approached him in her true form?

[ahem - fends of T'risstree's attack]

T'riss'ae,

I would say that if this character approached anyone in her true form they'd either run for it or try and fight it if they felt they had a chance of defeating it.

Its the classical Beauty & the Beast reaction. People see the monster first, not what the monsters nature actually is. Another example is Frankensteins monster. The villagers attacked it or ran away when they saw him as he was a hideous, large and dangerous looking creature.

So yes, if in her true form she approached Talwyn, he'd be thinking DEMON - stand and fight the thing. [shrug] Its what paladins do, they kill monsters.

<grapples Talwyn again, finding his tickle spots & pressure points & grinding her thumbs in but not so hard as to hurt but enough to make him squirm  >

You ain't getting away that easily Tal

ahh yeah T'riss'ae

the widdle boy scout has a point <nods>

A pretty typical reaction would be fear from a lot of people if they saw a demon thing coming towards them. Hells, they'd probably freak IRL if they saw a pretty Drow girl walking by too :/

When people fear something, they react in the standard flight or fight mode. Since Paladins are supposed to be Champions and slayers of monsters, he would probably not hesistate to attack unless he knew something before hand about what she was like that she wasn't really dangerous etc

even so, playing characters that are seen as monsters by pretty much everyone will be a challenge. Having shapeshifting abilities is the only thing that will let her walk among ordinary people. My character has to dress like a ultra extreme muslim girl with a full body dress and viel when she is on the surface world and in human cities etc so people don't freak out when they see her very dark gray skin <points to the icon of Eilistraee>

They will see Drow first, not that she is one of the good guys :/ and most drow are evil so people freak and react badly.

This is what makes playing outsiders so interesting and challenging ;)
