She has spent centuries safeguarding the forest beyond the Silent Slough, ensuring the delicate balance of life is maintained. Legends say that when she dances under the moonlight, the flowers bloom even out of season.

Motivation:

Her primary goal under the Dark Maiden's Directive, is to protect the woodland and swamp from pollution, encroachment, and other threats that humans and negative forces pose. Lianaila is also seeking to awaken the forgotten benevolent spirits of the forest and unite them with nature once more.

Quirks:

She has a playful habit of hiding small objects or trinkets from those who wander too close to her territory, only to return them later as gifts.
She loves to collect feathers from different birds, weaving them into her hair or decorations on her robe.

Physical Characteristics

Daleah has a spirited expression in her deep hazel eyes, sun freckled fair skin, stands at about 5’6” and of proportionate build. Her strawberry blond curls flow down the length of her body as she has kept them from birth, a custom of her particular clan’s origin. Her hair is worn upon the crown of her head in an elaborate braid and with an intricately elven engraved ivory clasp. She is donned mostly in olive green or fawn colored apparel. She carries an antique cold iron longsword that once belonged to her 5th great grandfather who was also a paladin and used the sword to battle evil. She carries a shield and falcata (one of the most devastating swords every made. The inward curving blade delivered a tremendous blow and could split both shield and helmet,) on her back and a few daggers in various places on her person.

Personality

Her personality for the most part is outgoing yet reserved at times, observant, alert, fearless, and encouraging. She can also be gravely remorseful, but quick to make amends when she realizes she has done wrong. She is devoted to righteousness, tender hearted, highly compassionate, has a strong reverence for authority, honor and truthfulness, though her respect is not easily won. She has a great appreciation for weaponry, art, wisdom, culture, music, and all life, especially having a special place in her heart for children and the aged.

Abilities

Aside from being proficient with most martial weapons (though the axe would be her least desirable choice in hand to hand combat) armor, and shields, there was a time when her people were banned from owning formal weapons. The innocent looking walking stick, they called a bata, came into use as a serious weapon. In the years that followed, stick fighting became an integral part of her clan culture. It was used in faction fights, wedding and funeral brawls, and settling disputes. She can be extemely charismatic given the situation always geared toward the sole intentions of good. She has slightly above average strength for a woman of her age as she has had the patience and self discipline to maintain it. Daleah has strong will power, a fairly good portion of common sense, sharpened keen senses, a delicate sprinkle of woman's intuition, and an inquisitive mind which tends to sorting out the motives in the hearts of the people surrounding her.

History

She is descended from intelligent farmers of a tight family circle who lived in solidly built houses. As with all children of the clan she was taught unto proficiency the art of warfare as soon as she was able to walk. She was a young girl when her parents who were great, well known and respected warriors of their clan were killed in the battle on the plains. Her clan was scattered abroad durring a sneak attack before they even had a chance to bury their dead with honor. She was discovered tending a few cattle in a valley far away from camp by a wandering group of Dark Elves who quietly lured her away from a dangerous ambush. After some years in hiding she grew to appreciate their culture and learn of their fighting styles and tactics. These Dark Elves were branded as traitors. Much to her dismay Daleah soon discovered they were tracked down, caught, and murdered while she was out hunting. She eventually found her way back to the druids of her clan who also had once lived in the secret underground dwelling places, the dolmans of the forests. She also learned of their culture and ways.

Hilde values loyalty to her clan and friends above all. She fights fiercely for those she loves. She has a grouchy, dry humor. She can be witty and forthright.
