I'm a disabled gamer, and casual player of CRPGS. I'm fan of fantasy (and scifi), and elves. Dark elves (good) are my favorite, as all my BG3 characters are good Drow. lol I found this site while trying to create yet another BG3 character, who is a cleric of Eilitraee and a bard of the swords.

Thanks! Nice to meet you too! Not really, I'm not much of a writer. I do think up characters sometimes, but I usually don't write anything down. I'm trying to write down the stuff I think up for latest character, Zeknarzt. I don't have much so far. Just where he was born (Menzoberranzan), and his sur/house name. I came up with Hun'afin (with help from Kismet's Drow Name Generator).

Maybe. I don't feel like I'm such a good RPer, and I have some health issues that makes typing a challenge. I was trying to think of some details for my character, like what he eats & drinks. I'm thinking he doesn't really drink wine, but drinks tea instead. I was curious to see if drow drank tea in the underdark (since that's where my character was born). I was googling it and a post from this forum came up. It didn't really answer my question, but it was still interesting. I decided to create an account, as I do like to play good drow characters. I have about 8 characters and all, except two, are good drow characters. lol

Also, thanks to everyone for all the greetings! I really appreciate it.

The beauty of creating is your possibilities are endless! Most writers take a cue from our real natural surroundings. Like maybe frame your Google inquiries around that, for instance,
try asking Google:

What kind of edible mushrooms grow in caverns? Or, how to grow mushrooms in caves.

Then you can imagine your character buying dried or powdered mushrooms from underground markets that farm mushrooms in caves.

Also, there are real mushroom coffees being sold online, like, Ryze. Perhaps simply take that the ingrediant list and imagine these mushrooms being collected by scouts and brought to the Underdark to be farmed or sold.

Then other stories can be created about the collection and sale of the mushrooms.

Litchens, roots, and odd kinds of fish can also be found in underground caves!

Oh, thanks for the help, and tips! I guess I'll do what most writers do, and take inspiration from the real world. I suppose I was already doing that to an extent, but it was nice to hear someone confirm I was on the right path. I was kinda doubting myself. I knew that mushroom coffee was something that existed in reality. I wasn't so sure if the same was true about tea. I suppose I should of just googled it sooner, as I quite easily found the answer to that question. Huh, I also knew mushrooms grew underground, and that fish can be found in underground caves. I wasn't so sure about litchens, and totally forgot about roots. lol

Yeah, I do have eight drow characters. I guess I'm kinda obsessed. lol I don't know what to say, but playing as a good drow character is super enjoyable to me. Most all of them are fighters, so playing as a cleric has been an experience.

I was a big fan of the Elder Scrolls rpgs and played dark elf characters in those. I have also played table top rpgs and free-form writing, all dark elves, but not on here. I like being different characters so here I feel like I can explore that and still be close to the drow I love.
