Vendui!

I would like to invited you all to the Harvest Festival on Avilion Isle. The slurl is http://slurl.com/secondlife/Avilion/3/131/42 for the main gate. From there you can take a portal to the Festival. Please note that Avilion is a strict fantasy roleplaying arena. Visitors are expected to read and agree to the bylaws (in the book in front of the gate) and to dress accordingly. You can find free clothing for men and women outside the main gate for anyone who hasn't a thing to wear - or head to the Avilion Mist main store outside the gate and get fitted out proper.

The festivities will begin Friday at 1pm with the blessing from the Lord and Lady. There are rides, contests, competitions and a marketplace (I have a stall there) It continues through Sunday.

It is also a wonderful opportunity to visit Avilion and explore the non-combat sims. The landscaping is beautiful, the citizens are friendly (well except for some of the drow of course ;) ) and the opportunity to roleplay is refreshing. We have a marketplace, drum circle, fae garden, underwater garden, a grand ballroom surrounded by romantic gardens, a concert theater, plus a couple of combat sims for those interested (and can play in mouselook without getting sick :( ).

If I'm available when you decide to come to the festival, send me an IM and I can meet you at the front gate. This is especially true if you decide to roll a brand new (free) character for the festival as I have goodies to share to make your visit more enjoyable (like a non-noob walk, hair and shoes).[/color:31p016yr]

If you mean the Avilion sims, thank Linden Labs. The sims have been crashing throughout this past week and help from LL has been marginal. I was there for a couple of hours last night, enjoying the parade, the comensement and some of the dance at the Drum Circle, but framerate was the worst I've seen yet.

If you mean Second Life in general, well - on the weekends we often celebrate lagfest. It's the nature of the beast, I'm afraid. [/color:80nvjag2] :(

I'd have loved to attend but I can barely move in that game, the controls are the worst i've ever seen in any game, bar none. Lag doesn't help but its mainly the controls.

My names Sabiya Nikolados .. or somethin close, though, if you like to teach meh :P

Truthfully, the weekends are notoriously bad in SL. Once you get used to the controls, they are surprisingly easy to use, but it is a pain switching between any games with different controls anyway. Last night (Friday) was terrible for me as well. However I know it's more frustrating for new players - us oldies are used to lagging and crashing (and griefer attacks)! LOL!

It is worth the effort to give it a try, though. Second Life isn't like any other gaming platform out there. I'll be on a lot Sunday with Fionne Burleigh (my main) so if you can manage to stay afloat in the game, perhaps we can get together.

Ah drat. If I'd seen this I would've dropped by. Instead I was busy packing. :/

I hope you had a good time though. :)
