Vendui abbil,
It is good to be home after traveling tens of thousands of miles, over vast oceans, lofty mountains, parched deserts, dark forests, fertile farm lands and amazing cities and towns.
I've traveled around Europe, mostly in the UK, France, Greece and Turkey. I've seen things that I have only read about in books or seen on TV, places like the Acropolis in Athens, Ephesus in Turkey, Santorini in the Aegean Sea [that place will blow your mind!], taken a bath in the old Roman town ofd Bath in a 21st century Bath [utterly fantastic! The romans would have approved
]
I've visited magnificent Churchs - the most awe insiring was Haighia Sophia in Istanbul [which was Constantinople etc
], stormed a few impressive castles like Edinburgh, Stirling and my most favourite.... Castle Gloom on the Burn of Sorrow! [no joke, it's a real place with a boring modern name of Castle Campbell but the original name is just too good to let fade into the mists of history]. I've had a lunch with a daughter of a Duke, Lady Elisbeth Percy, daughter of the Duke of Northumberland and if I ever moved to England, I'd move there and offer my vassalage to that great family.
I've dined in some of Paris' best Bistros and resturants, even learned enough French to get by. The Art galleries were awesome...I have seen things that most people would only ever see in a book...just superb beauty and flawless human achievement through art....truly excellent!
And so I'll be down loading my collection of pictures very soon onto my page at dA and will post some here as proof of my epic voyage.
Anyhow, it's good to be home again, back in familiar surroundings.
