In short, I found myself on another forum, but was soon after PMed by the Administration. Apparently they looked over my character, a few of my posts that mentioned a bit of background, and enjoyed the idea of him. It's not often that you see a Drow roaming about in such a power played forum, and they liked the idea that he wasn't all about fighting in every thread.

In short, they asked me to turn my characters plot into a world plot. I agreed under their conditions that I'll need a few more roleplayers that are not only skilled with knowledge of Drow, but good writers and fighters. This means for those people that may be interested, it involves that you look outside the box, or outside the idea of D&D. Realms is not a site built on those foundations, but merely what your imagination can limit you with. The Staff is sharp to watch PC(Power gamers = Characters godly and above.) and make sure they don't ruin any of the idea of the board.

In short, if anyone is interested you would have to play a spider kisser if Drow, and most likely keep in mind that the story comes first. I ask for only the better of the writers, and those that can honestly handle something a bit more expanded with power and fantasy than what is here. While this site was wonderful (Minus some of the people), it doesn't vast on a grand scale due to being an idea of D&D.

P.S. You don't have to play Drow. But it does have to be something you can see working with the Underdark or Drow (Orc, Goblin, Vampire, Illithid, Lich, Dryad, etc.)

We're all players interested in roleplaying drow in the end. While our characters might hate each other, as players we can work together; no need to segment ourselves off into our individual sites only.

I can't find any info on races. I can't find any info on abilities. I can't find any info [i:yr162vse][b:yr162vse]whatsoever[/b:yr162vse][/i:yr162vse] unless i quite literally come across it by accident.

The only thing that appeared to be consistant were the like 300x700 sized avatars half the people there appear to have, as well as a preferrence for oversized sigs. Oh, and the only reason i managed to spot your account was because it carried the same name you do here.

So umm... From what i can tell, it appears to be little more than a pile of freeform RPs all rolled into one forum. Assuming this isn't the case, and there's actually some degree of organisation (not counting basic thread moderation) involved, care to point me in the right direction?

I tend to research a forum a little bit before joining after all ^^;

Just... NO. Sure, Avarii's app was pretty decent compared to some of the... [i:yr162vse]stuff[/i:yr162vse] on there, but come on... People described as having several TONS of muscle, and immune to magic. Swords that force everyone not to attack the wielder. Characters that can hit the ground hard enough to knock the [b:yr162vse]planet[/b:yr162vse] out of orbit. People lugging an entire ARMORY of weapons around, each of whom would put Eilistraee's sword to shame in terms of sheer enchantments and granted abilities. Power summaries that are three times as long as the whole rest of the application put together. Characters with the innate powers of more than three (usually completely incompatible) races (i thought you could only have, y'know, [i:yr162vse]TWO[/i:yr162vse] parents at most?). Half the apps have apparently never heard of a spell checker. The list goes on and on and on...

I swear if i see one more emo evil wannabee i'll pour acid over my eyes. You said they were full of powerplayers but... Good Lord, i can't even think up a witty reply here. In their defense, there's a number of apps that at least know some basic degree of moderation when it comes to powers, but still...

I think someone needs to grab a shotgun and start revising some of those other applications a bit. For sanity's sake.

OMG! I'm overwhelmed by the power!

There are no special races or abilities. You have your own character and your own abilities. All races (at least the ones sounding good) will do.

As for everything else, yes it sucks...

Actually, i couldn't believe what i was reading -- and NOT in a good way. I have saved on my comp the very first threads of the very first RP i have ever been in. Five RPing noobs in an unmoderated, single thread RP with no set plot or GM or rules whatsoever, and i can STILL tell you for a fact that we've never gotten HALF as close to god moding as the vast majority of those guys.

Which is pretty bad, considering two out of five in said first group had been playing in a DBZ RP. With powerlevels. Them (long gap) everyone else style, because they had been playing there far longer than any of the others.

I'm half tempted to make a character with a permanent large area anti-magic field around her as a passive ability, and an active one (wittily named 'Overrule') that forbids people around her from defying natural laws (like physics).

Only thing stopping me is that i have a hunch everyone and their cousin will squirm their way around it, or RP being able to do what they want anyway, only with more effort than usual.

Come on, people. I can understand you not liking their style of gameplay. Truthfully it’s not my cup of tea either. But that’s no reason to mock people as that’s not the way you’d wish the be treated for your choices in playing either.

Xion posted the link and invitation for those who are interested. If you’re not interested then that’s fine and it’s even fine to talk about why you don’t like it, but at least try and remain respectful. Alright?
