You said it!! They're both lil' devils and the two y/o? He's a sneaky one! I had 3/4 empty glass of iced soda I was nursing. When I turn my back I suddenly hear smacking noises. I turn around and he's sucking it down like nobody's business! Do you know, when I tried to take it away from the lil sneak, he started drinking faster!! XD When I finally got the cup back it was gone! All was left was just a few pieces of ice... v.v That teaches me for leaving it in his reach....

The joys of motherhood eh?
Tell him if he does it again, you'll sell him for medical experiments
That works on my friends kids when they come over to my place

Really doesn't work on a two y/o that just started talking about 4 months back XD

Talwyn, what's gotten into you, man? Sell them for medical experiments; even sarcastically, that's abhorred, in a very cynical humorous way.
As to T'riss'ae, ya got yourself a couple of cute munchkins; I suppose they love to run around, and have so much energy, that you could borrow some.

I'm of mixed opinions about kids. To start with, I'm of similar mind to Narsia and Zil about them myself. I like kids well enough- as long as they are someone else's, and I don't have to deal with them 24/7. But like they both said, I know that I'm not really "Mother" material, as I do not have the patience or the understanding to handle a child that has not progressed much beyond the stage of incoherent babble (Which in today's society, includes kids a lot older than you might think...) I guess I just can't relate to them unless they are capable of at least making semi-intelligent observations or questions. Say, around 6 or 7, at least. After taht, it's okay with me.
That might explain why I decided to give mine up for adoption when she was born. I knew better than to try to raise a child when my hubby and I are always scraping by just to survive ourselves, and quite frankly, neither of us would really have the time (working long hours every day) or the experience to handle parenting. And to tell the truth, I'm glad we did. She is in a wonderful, loving home with people who adore her (we do still keep in touch, and get updates, pics, etc) and I know she will be happy and loved.
On the flip side, I abhor parents who do horrible things to their children like locking them in closets, starving/beating them, or drowning/ sticking in microwaves, etc. Of course, there is a part of me that secretly believes that with my level of patience for little kids in general, and the nerve-wracking reaction I get whenever someone tries to hand me a baby, I might have been one of those psycho-moms myself, so I can almost understand what might drive a person to do those things, even if I despise those people.
As for pedophiles and the like, I say castrate them all, and leave them to the mercy of a PTA group. I had a few experiences with that sort of thing as a child, and though I'm not bitter or scarred by it like some, it still raises my hackles every time I hear of any adult treating a child that way. It's just plain evil. And you would be surprised how many otherwise normal-seeming, "respectable" people have this kind of hidden dark side. Maybe that's why some kids are so out of control- they have families that may seem ordinary on the outside, but behind closed doors, we never really know what is going on until something happens to reveal the ugly truth.

In just over a month my cute little boy will officially be a teenager. >.>
I only have one child, and not long after he was born my husband and I made the decision to never have more. Our son is bright, artistic, funny and (sometimes) thoughtful. Somedays I look at how tall he's grown, and how old he's become and have to hold back the tears since he's so close to being all grown up.
He does these amazing animations, better then I could do, and he's not even 13 yet.

It's good to know that all of you mothers out there are the caring type; I salute all of you who are that way, who are the mothers that I can respect and who are always there for your kids.
I hear more often than not, even here in beautiful Colorado, about children, some as young as 2 years old, who are abandoned by their parents, who abandon their kids to their own fate.
I swear by everything in this life that is sacred and holy that nothing fills me more with rage and sorrow than hearing about these atrocities in life.

My views on kids in a nutshell: They should be protected with your life, spoiled rotted, pumped full of sugar and sent home with their parents at the end of the day.
Needless to say my niece and nephews love spending time with their Untle Peeyay (the youngest can't say my name right yet) and my sisters hate me for it.

Kids are cute, only when they're not crying or whining. That can get on my nerves, but that's just kids, right?
But what I don't understand is why people would ever hurt a child. Children are so innocent, who would have the heart to hurt one? That's just not right. You have to have some messed up personality and some serious issues to ever hurt anything so young and innocent. And that also goes for animals (mostly like pets). People who abuse their pets, deserve the same punishment as child abusers do. In fact (and I know I'm rambling), I think that if anyone does [i:3frbct40]anything[/i:3frbct40] harmful to an innocent and defenseless being (whether it be animal or human), they deserve the same punishment and pain inflicted upon them a they did to who they abused (or killed, or etc...) if not, give 'em an even worse punishment.
And I also don't understand why we put someone in jail for [i:3frbct40]life[/i:3frbct40] if they committed murder, rape, or did something horrible to a child, or anybody for that matter! They should just get the chair (though I don't think that's used anymore). We shouldn't have to pay money, through taxes, to keep these f***ers alive. Okay, end of tangent. That felt good.

Amen, sister! I'm both an animal rights advocate (Member ASPCA, HSUS, and Defenders of Wildlife) and have born a beautiful girl who's now three (She was adopted out to friends, but still have contact), and I can honestly say that the people who do these things are just sick. What appalls me more than anything is the often light sentences they get. Like Michael Vick. A few years ago, he was shunned by the NFL for the cruel dog-fighting ring he was running, and served prison time, yet now they've let this monster back into pro football? What kind of message does THAT send?! It's no better than if he'd done it to little kids, in my book.

Finally! Someone understands me! I think animals deserve the same rights as humans (and I'm not saying the right to vote or anything), but they should be given more consideration than they're currently getting. Either way, harming an animal or a child, both are defenseless (for the most part) and they're both so innocent, I mean, what did they ever do to deserve what happened to them? Our court system is so screwed up. Get this, you get a longer jail sentence for growing marijuana than you do for murder or rape! And marijuana is even legal over the counter! That right there makes no sense to me.

Yeah, me either. Too many legal loopholes for these snakes to slither through. It's just sad. Or enraging. Both, really.
