I'm not sure how I missed it originally, but a couple of weeks ago GameSpot put up a video of DDO's Update 13[/url:39mugyb5]. The video shows bits of a new quest the update adds, which will form a bridge between DDO and the Underdark expansion coming this summer (which will see players visiting The Forgotten Realms, encounter Underdark drow and finally take the fight to the Demonweb Pits).
Note though that the video contains some very big spoilers regarding the new questline, walking through much of the beginning as well as the end fight.

I don't think that I'll be playing DDO myself. Primarily because I have no desire to slog my way to level 16 in the game and in part because I've got plenty of other games to keep my busy. But I'm kind of sad that I won't get to experience any of this drow content myself.
I just don't think that the hope of maybe seeing a glimpse of Eilistraee in the eventual expansion is enough reason to start playing the game.
Note that next to the video there's a whole article describing the update at the original link[/url:39mugyb5].

According to this link ( DDO[/url:2b43hu2a] ), the storyline of the game expansion will follow 5th ed FR canon, and it seems that it will involve Lolth trying to become the new Mystra. I just hope that they don't make her succeed, she is already boring enough being the classic "I must plot for powah and evulz all day long" villain (and even more now that she's unrivaled; hopefully not any longer soon). Making her the 'main antagonist' (as said in the article) in the FR will just make it worse IMO...

MoMRPG and D&D - completely wild thing. In bad way. Did anyone see how hordes of players of WoW fought one seemingly epic battle with canon NPC boss for Oghma knows how many times? I do not want to see the same happen to D&D, especially FR.

I am not sure anybody cares anymore, but the quest line mentioned this does not include any interaction with Lolth. Rather Lolth is trying to free the Spinner of Shadows and you are trying to prevent it by stopping Lolth's lackies.
