Ah, Yoko Kanno. Her music is always excellent.
As in this case. Hauntingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
I might have to watch that anime.

Speaking of excelling anime, here's a song from another one that I can very strongly recommend (yes, I basically just picked a random song as an excuse to mention Violet Evergarden):

Made by Kyoto Animation (who suffered that devaestatingly tragic arson attack not two months ago) a number of episodes had me quite literally in tears.

Oh, I have already watched (and loved) Violet Evergarden. I really liked that it was ultimately a story (or series of stories) about learning empathy, and the soundtrack was just on point for the scenes (not to mention beautiful on its own).
As for Terror in Resonance, without spoilers, as far as I can tell, it wants to send a message about how modern society can be depersonalizing, especially for the youth, and how the younger generations pay for the warmongering of the old guard. The protagonists have a very specific goal (even though it doesn't become apparent until the second half of the story), but a lot of what they do struck me as basically screaming "I exist"--especially after learning what they went through.
My main critique is that it needed to a tad be longer (couple episodes more), as to provide more insight into the characters (who seem to be quite deep, but with not enough screen time), and to explore its themes more throroughly. In fact, it takes quite long for them to emerge in full, and as a result they're mostly concentrated in the last 2 or 3 episodes.
Another anime composer that I quite like is Hiroyuki Sawano. He's more known for epic/action themes, but he's extremely flexible; he can make really good emotional or dramatic pieces. There was a scene in the last season of Attack on Titan that just wouldn't have been the same without this song:

So, I've crecently watched Hunter x Hunter. Despite my dislike for the general character design of that anime, despite my dislike of shonens, despite some pacing problems, I must say that certain arcs of the story, as well as the development of certain characters, are simply genial and truly powerful. Good OST, as usual, adds plenty of force behind the emotional punch of any story. The song "In the Palace", and its variation, is (IMO) the best example for this anime.

Oh, this too--so omnious and somber. It really enhanced its scene.

Wow, I could feel his voice reverberating in my head and even behind my sternum, heh. He's pretty amazing.
