The way I read this is that there are some people out in the world who R E A L L Y want the movie to be made, and have gone so far as to shoot some basic video of what they consider possible content.

They seem to be hoping a much larger studio will pick it up and follow with what they have begun, or sign on to help them finish what they started. Unfortunately, I do not think they have the wherewithall, or the finances, to do it themselves. Hence the 'waiting to be made' comment.

It's damned impressive so far anyway, and I'd love to see it myself, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

As a side note, some idiot stole the clip of Prince Nuada from Hellboy 2, and claimed it was Drizzt. It's a fine piece of battle play, but it is not in any way a drow elf, or one with two scimitars.
One might note the elf in the clip above is ALSO -not- using scimitars.

You actually didn't miss anything. Wulfgar was a wimp, Drizzt and Artemis were smacking each other like crazy catwalk models slapping each other. And a few guys saying Drizzt is cool, where he's not.
